The M14 is AKA The Pokémon Go Bus because it goes so slow, it a perfect bus to play Pokémon Go.

Oh that's absolutely shitty. Especially once the weather gets bad. Busses have a great advantage compared to all those people who would drive a car to work, alone. Here in the Netherlands we have buslanes and busses also influence the stoplights (so when a bus arrives, they are often first to cross the crossroads) It's a really nice way to travel fast and cheap within a city. But yeah, even in a country this small, the convenience and experience gets worse and worse the larger the city
NYC is over ten times larger than your largest city. I agree that the Netherlands is leading in alternative transportation, but I feel part of the reason is because it's such a small place.

Yea in most of Europe bus travel is much better. At rush hour, my bus in the UK does an average of 12mph. Manhattan is a completely different story, buses are useless
the netherlands has slightly more people than new york. ofcourse a bus doesnt work. thats why there metros
If i ever end up needing to take the m14, i instead take a citi bike regardless of the weather. That’s how slow it is
