Congrats brother! You look like a kid in a candy store!! Very nice rig. I was fishing behind brigantine Saturday looked for the maycraft or this rig but didn't see ya.
Always great first run with a new boat. You look like a kid on Christmas morning!! Congratulations and best of luck bro!!! Can’t wait to see a big yellow fin tuna on there!
Awesome! Happy you like your Contender. I go out every day on my 25...even if it is for 1 hour of just a cruise or fishing. Furthest I went with it was the Reasor for seabass a true slaying with the Minn Kota.
I used to run my first boat ( 32 Proline Express) with just single spreader riggers and usually 7 rods as we were always light on crew. With Wide trackers I can easily duplicate that spread I think....and we killed lots of tuna!!!!
Congratulations. Great stuff. Check out the relief shading from garmin if you haven't already. Swapped out my tinted windshield on my last boat made it too hard to see a low light. Good luck with her.
good vid. hoping to get my new reg 23 in the water soon. Been trying to get everything squared away. I'm learning boat ownership is everything they say it is.
Boat looks clean, I’m a local marine mechanic out of cape may, would love to come check the boat out in person and meet you aswell. We specialize in Suzukis and Yamahas. Also acrylic dash panels, and trolling motors. Big fan of the videos.
Nice boat, I have the Garmin Bluechart G3 Vision VUS512L Mid Atlantic in my boat, check out the relief shading if you haven’t seen it yet. After rebate it was only $150. It’s unbelievable haw detailed the wrecks and rocks are.there’s a lot more to great fishing than marked wrecks. Look at and you’ll see what I mean. Can’t wait for the next video.
Have you fished the boat any more this summer? How does she handle in different sea conditions and on the drift in a little bit of chop or swell ? You said you had buyers remorse it is bc of the weather or is the boat not meet your expectations? I’m looking to purchase this same boat . Any insight would be great
@@reaperfishingnj8623 the guy ken over there is a genius when it comes to figuring out what size and pitch to use based on your needs. I'm sure he's propped several 23t with 200s.
Absolutely love the boat. Best of luck with it. Question on the Garmin. Do you have a through hull or transom mount? I have a new 25’ center console hopefully being delivered next month. I have a through hull transducer being installed at the factory but I also bought a transom mount so I can utilize the side view and the down view of the new Garmin. Where did you mount your transom mount transducer? Is it between the 2 motors or to the right of the starboard side motor? Love watching your show.miming South Carolina now but NJ born and raised. Keep up the great videos and if you’re ever in the Charleston area, look me up and we’ll go out fishing.
Thanks so much for watching. They were trimmed all the way down for this video. I have since been playing with the trim and trim tabs...much more speed

Nice boat.
Thanks!
Boat looks great! Give Prop Gods a call. The boat should be much faster. They'll send you a set of props to test.
Thank you so much Christopher! I never heard of Prop Gods. I'll check it out!

Thru Hull transducer only. Thanks so much for watching and thanks so much for the kind offer!
The boat looks superb! Dumb question. Is the 2.1 total burn or per engine?
Total burn I'd assume on that setup
Yup. Total burn
Really torn between this boat and a comparable regulator… do you have any further input or insight having owned the boat for a few months now?
not as fast as I thought she would be. Ride is good not great. Console too small.
HELL YEAH
Beauty !!
thanks so much Jason!
Awesome boat and some great upgrades. The Garmin MFDs are the best. Did you have your engines trimmed all the way down for the break in?
Thanks so much for watching. They were trimmed all the way down for this video. I have since been playing with the trim and trim tabs...much more speed
How much do you think the beam being 8'6" vs some 26's around 9'6" matter. I've only ever driven regulator Grady and my Edgewater
Not sure. I've never really fished on the Grady or Edgewater
awesome. prop pitch?
3 x 16 x 20R
Song name at 4:37 please? Happy to see you happy!
i believe it's called "Waiting for Closure" by ELFL. I get these tracks from Epidemic Sound which is a pay site where you get copyright free music.
Is that a23 tournament 24 degree deadrise what does she weigh and what size motors
yes 23 Tournament. 24.5 deg deadrise. Approximately 4200 lbs dry weight without motors. Twin 200 hp Suzuki outboards
Damn that’s my dream boat! what do you do for a living to be able to afford two amazing boats?
Thanks so much for watching. I am gonna keep that private for now. I honestly can't afford either one, but I don't care. That's why god made loans!!
What is the name of the songs you used in the video?
Little Reaper is now the 25 tournament?
Yes indeed!!
Where did you buy the boat at?
Ft Lauderdale
if u don't mind me asking I'm looking to invest in something similar next year what was your initial cost? for it
The market is crazy right now...so I bought high. But figure around 100 k for something similiar
First like and comment!!
