Fun fact: To convert double-ball angles to triple-ball angles, multiply the original double-ball angle by 2/3 and add 60 degrees.
Equation: t = d*2/3+60
(t is triple-ball angle, d is double-ball angle)
For example, a 90-degree turn for two balls would be 90*2/3+60 in three balls, or 120 degrees. With the same equation, a 180-degree turn for two balls is also 180 degrees for three balls.
I like the fact that in third sun, the part were 3 balls is introduced in the level is inverted, its now charted to 2 balls, i really like that detail

I find it funny how some patterns somehow retain their shapes while others look like spaghetti or fidget spinners. Especially the 'octopi' that have been reduced to beans in Heracles.

I love how the count offs are always 4:3 polyrhythms because they have to make the two ball count off slower, so when it changes to three balls it lines up with the tempo

Basically everything with loops and most non-1/4 divisions are f**ked without easy recognition due to:
- total angle of 4 1/8s is 360° with 2 planets, but 300° with 3 planets
- 1/6 and 3/8 are 120° (2/3 turn) and 45° (1/8 turn) with 2 planets, but (I think) 100° (5/18 turn) 150° (5/12 turn) with 3 planets
all i know is that all songs by Frums tend to have fucked charts with 3 balls. good thing they're the same input as the original lol

1-X is the same but sped up using triple planets (and editing software). (or maybe still the same. Either way, it is) cool enough, still as easy/hard as the original levels in the order of this video (same order as 1-X to end).

Conclusion: Triple planets makes everything look harder than it actually is
But also makes everything look cooler
If people chart songs using 3 *balls* i think it would be harder or easier but imagine things like Ghost or other songs
I feel like it’s so much easier to read 3 balls tho haven’t tried charting 3 ball but I’d imagined Mad Piano Party by Strode, Maelstrom by RedCRP or even OOParts (forgot the creator but it’s the chart that Gamma and BWen cleared) as easier to sight read

The second half of 2-X is kinda trippy, because the on-beats are no longer horizontal (but I really love how that makes the finishing off-beat actually become horizontal instead).
(Also, please explain to me how you can hit the Z bends in 8-X - and by extension 10-X - so consistently, they still screw me over to this day. Also, I'd love to know how to access XN-X, it actually seems like a level I could do well with my current skill level.)
Z bends? Also XN-X is directly above the menu screen. You can fast travel there by tapping 0 at least 3 times or so. If you want the three ball versions, you need neo cosmos dlc and head to the workshop. I’m too lazy to show where it is but they’re definitely there
@@tetralize_two The Z bends. The very, very sharp bends in the shape of the letter Z, the ones that tend to go down-left in the standard version of 8-X. Anything with less than a half-beat delay (so anything sharper than an inner 90-degree turn) at a high tempo ends up throwing me off. When trying to do them, it sometimes feels like my inputs get eaten and don't register.
@@BobbyFluffy i dunno i just listen to the music. it kinda feels like a mini jack (only if you use one key) if you've played osu!mania? Try practicing 2 keys so you turn it into an split double, which is easier to coordinate imo. I am seriously a bad teacher so dont expect my advice to be 100% correct
@@BobbyFluffy4 months late, but if you can get used to playing with two keys I normally do the first hit with my right hand and second with my left
