I think the reason sword doesn't come back for an orc army is because amass means you create a 0/0, then add a +1/+1 counter immediately after. Edit: yeah, gatherer mentions that. It starts as a 0/0 as it ETB, then gets the counter(s).
@lui2322 creatures with 0 toughness only die due to state-based effects when a player would receive priority, and neither player receives priority in the time between the 0/0 is created and the counter is added. As another example, if you cast Lightning Helix on yourself when you're at 3 life, you won't lose the game because neither player gets priority in between the damage dealing and life gain steps of the card

There's actually a cool line I think you had in round 2 to play urza and keep his token. Tap emry play ee. Cast urza and in response to him making a construct pop ee using sword of the meek and the ee itself.
If I ever played Modern, it would likely be this or Dice Factory. And probably affinity by extension. Theres something about the game pace and lines in Modern that dont sit well with me. Especially in the top decks. I think part of that is Legacy has so many options and so many ways to interact you can do off the wall or not top tier and still have a degree of agency.

I did see a guy run a temur version that won a rcq this past saturday. green for like delighted halfling, grist, also run some of the one ring in the list. its nice that with a sword in the graveyard and you make a token with bowmaster or grist triggers the sword to come back in the battlefield. Bosh would like your help building this and getting it ready for a upcoming rcq.
Some very sweet ideas here but I don't like the numbers. Only 2 Cauldrons in a deck that's going as far as to play uncastable Griselbrands just to combo with them is wild. Gotta have the full 4 of those in my opinion: there's no way to tutor them if you don't draw one, but you can loot away extra copies if you draw multiples.
People bitching that they may ban beanstalk instead of dealing with the "real problem" of solitude and gang don't realize that those cards are good by themselves but they're broken with beanstalk. Beanstalk was cute at first but holy shit is it an oppressive value machine. lol
Those cards break Beanstalk. Beanstalk is enabling them to be bonkers, sure. But THEY are the problem. If people actually had to PAY 5 mana for their 5 mana spells Beans would be incredibly medium. Ban the card that's the problem without the other card in the format. Don't ban the card that's only problematic BECAUSE of the pitch elementals.

If it enters as a 0/0 THEN it gets a +1/+1 counter, shouldnt it die before getting the counter as a 0/0 dies immediately?

Rona is sick in mono blue cauldron lists because of the emry/mox amber combo. In this list, Rona is a glorified merfolk looter.

This deck is definitely wild enough. Sure. But my first thought was to search for a few cuts for Reanimate. Maybe swap a couple lands for Trolls too?
Reanimate is not legal in modern :)
