If you come to my community from Monday to Saturday you hardly see children from 6 years upwards at home in the morning . By 9:00 the whole community is quiet. By 4:30 pm and the noise because they are back. Vacation then yiu will see those thar are in boarding school and universities at home. Education is important to the success of every country
I am a graduate from St. Augustine's College, Cape Coast in the early 70's, and my hometown is also Cape Coast. I am currently living in the US. When I was attending school at St. Augustine's, my instructor, who was a Jesuit will go the Holy Child every Saturday to make ready a Sunday Mass at Holy Child and also communion from the nuns at the college to St. Augustine's College. I do remember that we used to have some students from Holy Child for Saturday night music entertainment for couple of hours. Thanks for bringing home some memories.
You are really doing well. Just keep doing this because I can tell you the government of Nigeria will be on their toes to do marvellous things, thanks to you. Am also happy you said you are doing this in all schools in the continent.
Holyco" the nickname of Holy Child Girls SHS in Cape Coast was ranking one of the top 10 schools in Africa since 2003. "Augusco" the nickname of St. Augustine Boys SHS are affiliated for they all belong to the Catholic Church. Both schools are known as husbands and wives. You see them supporting together especially during sporting events in Cape Coast. The same thing goes with Mfantsipim Boys SHS and Wesley Girls SHS, they all belong to the Methodist Church.
It doesn't belong to Catholic but the government allowed the priest and sisters to be at the school to teach them values. Nkurumah tookover all the schools. Is a government run school.
Lily, there are some SHS you attend in Ghana that you'll never fail in life..no matter your disposition once you attend any of these Public schools your life is made already.
That's true. Unless of course, you are not serious🤣. I'm a proud hopsan and that has shaped me for life, that is why high school is so important to us here in Ghana😊
