My husband (wheelchair user) and I will be moving into our first house soon, and we are planning to outfit it with woodworking equipment and tools that both of us can use. Money is always an issue, but I'm grateful for videos like these which show all the possibilities.
Jason you have such courage that has been bolstered by the love and care of Rob & Jeff. Thank you gentlemen. Thank you to all of the vendors for the tools and guidance.
Got a name for your group, Rob: " Angels with Hammers" And thanks to the tool manufacturers who donated time and tools to this project! All the best and much success on your future projects, Jason.
I saw this and it took my heart and filled my eyes. I wish more kindness like this was seen. Thank you sharing the kindness with the public. God Bless!!!
@ConcordCarpenter I watched this again and still did the same thing to me. I am going to grab some merch hopefully, in some way, helps. Excellent most Excellent guys.!!!
A video really needed. I wish tool companies would realize that the ♿️ is another sector to cater to. There are many vets and others in mine and Jason’s situation. I have a 20x20 shop and some tools my father had when I was a teenager I am now 72. Congratulations Concord
What a wonderful, moving story. I can't tell you how much it parallels my experience. I can still walk, but can't stand much, so I use a wheelchair in the shop. Turning space, tool height, fans (here in Maine, heaters too). It all contributes to a space that lets you be creative and productive in your work. Blessings on your efforts, Jason, and thanks Jeff and Rob.
This is so cool! I have cerebrial palsy myself and get around with crutches or a wheelchair, and have been trying to figure out how I can set up my garage for woodworking. My dad was an excellent craftsman. He passed away just over a year ago, but I'd like to take up the hobby myself, partly as a way to honor and remember him. Hats off to your crew!
Outstanding… Ya’ll are the best. So good to see you applying your skills and influence in the industry to help Jason get a jump start on a dream. Jason also provides a lesson for all those folks who just need the courage to ask for a little help in pursuit of their dreams. When you’re willing to ask… good people will show up to help.
Oh man! Thanks for the ideas! My brother was in an accident last night and broke both legs. I DONT want him to just sit at home with a TV and thoughts. I'm going to see if anyone can get together to make a shed for him and table for carpentry. He loves it.
What an overall cool and generous venture by all involved. I keep my volunteer work for places that take in abused animals but, would help somene in my area ( with what skills I have) in this situation if it were presented.. Again. Excellent effort stepping up.
Great job to you and your crew Rob. TH-cam creator Izzy Swan has spent a long time in a wheelchair and I am sure that his site would be very inspiring. I also think that a Grabo device would be extremely helpful in this situation. Bora also makes a device to move sheet goods around and flip them up to the table saw surface. Again, a great job. 👍🏻
Maybe y’all should do a video on me an autistic woodworker.could help me gain a following ,even better possibly make it out of poverty bc if your in this field and not able to maintain 8 plus hours a day high chances are you will fail! Not trying to take away from the video just a thought, I think people forgot that disabled doesn’t mean incapable, it just means some accommodations are required.

Okay I got teary eyed at the end. Great job Rob, nice to see there are still kind acts of humanity in this crazy world. Wish Jason the best.
