I know that this is a relatively old vid, but for everyone else out there, you can actually still process each sound individually inside the drumrack. They function as chains. You can also take each sound out of the rack after you've programmed.

Hi Julian, I really liked this vid thanks, youve got a nack for explaining complex issues in simple terms. Could you let me know how to make a sound to test the operator like you do at @6:50 please? Im trying to use my computer keyboard to make a sound but ableton isnt registering any input from my keyboard (ive made sure the computer MIDI keyboard button on the top right is switched on).thank you

Can u do a pitch envelope/ asdr tutorial that explains how u did a bass sound similar to this with multiple examples? I noticed dance music people do this a lot on bass and kicks especially with Akai samplers and I need to understand it

Victorpt13 old vinyls ? He said already - i think ,that' sample is from a pack (its perfectly cutted out) but why not searchin for a great sample ? Or play this ,,classic" chords with a synth u like ! (Hahaha i like the voice too, its easy to follow him - he does great work, learned much about abletons devices, lol ....)

@@towle505 once you've loaded up simpler onto a new midi track, find whichever kick you want to use then drag it into simpler. Once it's loaded in, you can click and drag to highlight an area on the track display, right click and then click 'insert midi clip' or press Ctrl+Shift+M and your kick will then be in the piano roll. The original pitch of the kick will usually be at C3 :)
