You were asking if the core inversion was caused by the metal impact, but as you can see at 3:10, the core is travelling upwards before you fired the projectile and that is where at 4:02 that the inversion originated. Thank you for coming to my TED talk
@@charmichyou were right, I’m assuming it’s because he changed the max velocity of particles. Ever since then the core slowly started bubbling out. It was already erupting before the projectile hit.
It seems like when small particles go very fast they act like gamma rays and neutrinos, sometimes even in a particle group like that they act like a supernova and obliterate everything in its way
They definitely do that. Idk what exactly causes it but sometimes things heat up exponentially and instantly liquify or vaporize whatever comes in contact with it. It isn’t speed alone, but the friction caused by said speed making things break in the simulation. You can test this yourself by setting gravity super high and turning up heat caused by friction.
@@keionjg9627 yeah, and i sort of wonder if a sharp metal projectile would act like a AP round or something, and would sort of self sharpen like depleted uranium or if you got a metal projectile, filled it with oil and throwed it at something it would act like a HE round, i might have forgotten about this comment.
There’s a point in the game where things break in terms of calculating heat. This is easily done by generating heat via friction or high amounts of pressure. The temperature of these particles are so high that they instantly liquify/vaporize huge chunks of other particles in this slideshow like manner and turning into an almost Greyish white instead of just pure white color when zoomed in. At that point, NO (or only a very high) amount of mass can absorb the heat because it’s in the millions in terms of heat energy per particle. The weirdest thing is you can make “solid steam” by dropping ice on this stuff. The steam forms solid chunks rather than individual particles.
This game just fascinates me with it's amazing system It seems like nearly anything in real life is possible here It's already nearly perfect If there would be 1 thing I would ask of this game It would be descriptions I have no idea what some stuff supposed to be lol.
7:47 basically if the ball reaches the core the power of the core increases and the planet and it eats itself -it has to be at a certain speed to do this -has to be a certain size -after said size limit has been reached from there the more size=the more speed the planet eats itself at
*IDEA* : Make a planet and make some of it metal, then put a magnet in the center and slowly make it more repulsive! You could put metal large metal plates deep inside, so when you turn the magnet on, it causes those plates to be pushed out, *tearing apart the planet from the inside* ! *Note* : The metal may tear apart, so if that happens you should probably adjust the settings to make it more durable.
Different planet types colliding to see the end result, ie : water planet hits plant or desert planet and see what the end planet looks like. Thanks for the content!
One thing I did recently was take a single particle and turn it into plasm and have it hit a planet. Its was pretty cool. I'm learning about star evolution right now in college, it would be cool if we could simulate element fusion in SST someday :)
*@Spike Viper* 24:00 Keep running the simulation for some hours, until the conditions stabilize again, and see what kind of planet becomes of this, when it "grows up" again :D
You should give the planets an atmosphere so you can see the shockwave produced by impacts. you may have to edit the air properties so its more strongly affected by gravity
The massive heat co ing from the one at 8:14 is not form the collision. But another system that has existed for a long time, not sure what it does, but when atoms are super compressed. They generate tons of heat. So much that it's likely max heat and atom can have. Thus, easily melts everything near and far.
@Spike Viper , For a better gun, Make the casing (metal), then fill part of the casing with air (turn down the c distance), form the bullet and place it on top. make sure ur paused until you want to launch (kudos to this guy, forgot his name but he made a bomb in sst)
This series of destroying planets has really made me appreciate how stable the earth's core is so that it doesn't invert in on itself and kill all life.
Try making a singularity using the each particle has its own gravity thing or have a star heat a planet with the new heat mechanics instead of using the node sun thing
idea make a stable planet with a metal core then eject the core using the magnet... what happens to the planet without it's metal core?... is it able to become stabel once more?... what happens if you then either delete the magnet or invert it?...
You should try to make a moon again but this time with the cde_heat this will make it more fluid and the moon will transform back into stone. I almost succeeded, but because of my 3050, I was limited by the number of particles which made the moon ugly.
7:36 Wanna know why it turned that shade of blue? It is because that is the color of infinite temperature. That is the only color that heat can be after it reaches higher that many billions of degrees. That much heat caused ALL OF EARTH TO MELT and form into a liquid planet 😊
awesome! also, new Planet scene and several improved physics are almost ready for next release. I think it will be available in a few days
nice, still have to experiment with cde_heat for the engine but hopefully it or one of the new physics things helps.

@@charmichyou were right, I’m assuming it’s because he changed the max velocity of particles. Ever since then the core slowly started bubbling out. It was already erupting before the projectile hit.
I think it was caused by the force of the prior 'small' impact still radiating through the core.
