@petec5935 I'm not sure. The go cart store we made the pipes for was in Virginia. One of the chassis was called a Wasp. They had a fiberglass nose and a dam in front. The driver laying down with a lever on the steering wheel to slide the cover back and forth to change the exhaust wave as needed. Some were the Parilla 2x from 🇮🇹 . But all were 2x, and Iwe never made any megaphone for the 4x.
The one lesson that I learned. Was the lack of safety. It looked like the track had people and vehicles down the track. No safety barriers. Just a 100 mph missile on it's way. 😅😅
Just make a dirt oval in your back yard thats what my buddy did and now we are all hooked its so much fun. Is that that CDI ignition with a 2 step pre-load your clutch. Guessing your running a bully would love to here the actual build that things making some steam you lit up the tires and your on pavement and your gearing isn't only like a 5.5 ratio you are HAULING.
Young folks need a place like this around here in New Bedford, mass .so they can learn constructive activities and skills. Instead of sitting at home steering at a video game console or I pod, kids today don't even know how to climb a tree, real talk folks. These kids are learning skills, spending quality time with their parents and just being kids. These youngsters are the ones you want to grow up and become the country's leaders.
Nothing wrong with kids learning and playing with interactive video & computer games. I believe our recent past has proven that! That being said, all things in moderation! Young people absolutely have to learn to interact with their environment as well as, and most importantly, with other people!! I mean outside of the computer world. They also will be much more rounded and better equipped for life if they climb trees, learn to repel and assist others in learning outdoor activities. Racing whatever is also important
I've seen people in a go kart built for drag racing or a mini dragster beat Superbikes..... people don't give some of these small engines the credit they deserve

Those karts woukd hurt our neck they were so quick, and I never imagined I'd see homebuilt karts which could accelerate like those. Whoever is building these things, you have a talent my man. I wish you nothing but peaceful contentment in all you do.
Probably one of the funniest things to do. Its not the same as making 800hp on a turboed ls but its fun because you can fuck with the engines as you please, and if you blow it up its only 100 bucks for a new one. Got a 224 running 14.5:1 compression on e85 and it cost only 450 bucks to build in total
These guys are way over that, you can have up to 4000$ in machine work welding billet heads, tool steel cam billet everything, I have a 224 that hopped up when they first we’re being sold for fun it made 16hp on our small engine dyno, some of the gx390 and 420 motors we build for open class karts make well over 40hp max I’ve seen on a utility based motor was a billet head ~480cc gx390 based build was 57hp at 9500rpm on nitro methanol mix it was a monster
What does "political folks" have to do with anything. It's up to the parent to help kids get involved. If they are spending their money on weaves, nails 💅, weed and liquor then they won't have anything to do. Nothing is about "political folks"
This is awesome!! I would like for the guys to point out safety tips and race in a safe area because those cars and trees on the sides are not going to bend! Remember Safety First!!

I appreciate the originators of this event and venue. Having a place where kids can enjoy a sport, safely is by far the best thing for these kids. Even at those speeds maybe a barrier is still needed. Don't need one of these karts slamming into a car.
I knew a black guy named Dennis back in 82 that built a racing go cart and put a 78 Kz1000 Kawasaki engine on it . He would race cars and motorcycles with it at the 710 drag strip .

We used to make expansion chambers for go carts back in the day. .they were going 140 on the big tracks. The guy we made them fir told us.
