The dial is exceptional. The watch plays into the dress watch origins of field and pilot models. This one could easily be confused for a pilot watch, given the triangle at the top and the second hand. Definitely a banger.
I think these are truly extraordinary. I feel like Second Hour nailed just about every aspect of the design and execution. Looks like a watch that should cost 5 times the price.
These are *_really_* nice. My problem is that the niches they would fill are already filled, and then some, by other watches. The pricing is at a good point but as I stare into my boxes of watches, I am having a tough time justifying any further purchases as I struggle to get through them all in any rotation. Especially when one in particular, a Beaucroft Seeker, has not really left my wrist since it arrived. 😎 I did sign up for their newsletter and thank you for bringing them to our attention!
I think you’re exactly right, I’m Aussie, and yet I had absolutely no idea this brand existed until I just saw this video lol. As nice as these watches look, I won’t be getting one any time soon, I’m a little too poor to afford any of these, plus I have a solar powered citizen watch that I’m too attached to to replace/not wear as much for another watch lol.
I think that’s rather lovely plus the chances or running into someone with the same watch are very slim in the UK. That always appeals to me anyway, and as ever a clear and concise review of course. 👌
Funny as you mentioned the case hardening, scuffs were clearly apparent on the bracelet which was a bit surprising. Was it like that out the box or did you do that? I like this case hardening trend, although it makes the material much harder to polish later on, most watches are never going to see a buffing wheel in a lifetime so it makes sense to have them looking as good as they can from the start. The trend towards 904L is exactly the opposite of this. It supposedly shines up better (Not that I can visibly tell) but it scratches by looking at it.
The number placement on this, watch has always bugged me. To me they need to be a little further in and positioned based on the outside edge of the number , not the centre. Other than that and the closed case back😍😍😍
Hi gary love this watch,I have two second hours and they are great,if your thinking of letting it go I would be interested in it ! I really like the bronze colour best.thanks for another great review, love the channel keep up you fantastic work, all the best Mike...
I keep finding watches with flat sapphire - other than AR undercoating I like the consistent view and I haven't bought in a store where I could check the glass for over a decade.
This is my style of watch every time, really like the copper dial and with a good movement, what's not to like, pity I've spent my limit for a little while.
That's an impressive watch. Not my kind of model but definitely my kind of finishing and the dial.....oh-la-la! Now THAT'S a sunburst. I'm gonna check out what else they got to offer. 👍
Nice looking watch that is again ruined by a bad logo and brand name :( If I'm looking at that tramp stamp on the dial every day, I'm going to get sick of it fast.
Very nice offering! You can't underestimate scratch resistant coatings!

Looks good in the bronze colour
That is next level sunburst indeed! But that logo does nothing for me and imo it distracts from that stunning dial with its size and colour. Cheers!
Agree. That logo looks Aliexpress-esque... Shame as there's a lot to like here.
If you want an IWC pilot style which is not a direct copy this is the way to go.
There is a huge problem:
I like both colors 😂

They are very tempting, looks like they have given the design a lot of thought which is nice not just copying other brands
Recently purchased the Mandala from them. Class piece. Shipping was insane. Didn't think it was possible to ship from OZ to US in two days.

The blue one is beyond awesome. 👍
Recently sold my Second Hour Mandal. They make fantastic watches

Beautiful piece! Good value for £450 I think.
Great review, I can’t wait to review mine
Forgot about this brand. If I remember correctly, the first watch was very nice.
She's a looker, for sure. My Mrs wears a Gin Clear diver, which she appropriated from me. Mandala was also a winner.
I have a mandella and they have awesome watches and a great brand.
No you don't because if you had one, you would've spelled the name correctly
0:41 I have the momento from them LOVE IT
Some of the most beautiful watches out there. That dial and the way it plays in the light is amazing. Thanks for the great review!

Please share, what makes their watches original designs. I am interested.
Really nice looking watches! Love the dressy look and the amazing sunburst dial, especially on the blue one.

Nice watch! Thx for introducing me to the brand.🇺🇸👍🏻
Looks nice but im not a fan of the white chapter ring.
The reflection from that sunburst dial looks like a 2nd pair of hands...coincidence?

I'm gonna check out what else they got to offer. 👍
Another excellent review and a very nice looking watch. Just let down by an unnecessary chapter ring for me.
Fine looking watch.
doesn't speak to me, but very well done
Blocked lume is the new fad! A new Traska competitor.
My Farer Resolute is the first one I know of that used lume blocks. It’s a great effect and an absolute torch.
Well at least they didn't put that name anywhere on the dial.
Not a bad looking watch though
Actually prefer mark 1 of these better (the first version)
Couldn't bring myself to buy this because of the logo.
Perfect watch and band. That clasp has to go. Way to large.
Sattleberg? Settlebug?
Nice looking watch that is again ruined by a bad logo and brand name :(
If I'm looking at that tramp stamp on the dial every day, I'm going to get sick of it fast.
Nice watch but all this type watch look so alike and a bit boring in my opinion.
Please don't deface these beautiful dials with numbers, ugly!
