"The first time I ever really listened to Kyle Kulinski’s show was in the back of a cab last summer. The driver had his phone hooked up through the stereo and was pumping out an episode through the car speakers - loudly, as if looking to convert a captive audience.
“Do you like Kyle Kulinski?”
The driver, Ahmed, was a recent immigrant and apparently a die-hard fan of Secular Talk, the political talk show that Kulinski broadcasts on TH-cam. I told him, yes, in fact. I do like Kulinski, had come across his show several years ago, and, all things considered, he seemed pretty good.
“He understands what we’re up against,” Ahmed said. “Like Bernie.”
But I was surprised to hear Kulinski’s name mentioned in the same breath as Bernie Sanders, particularly with such adoration. Because what I did remember about Kulinski’s show struck me as mostly capital-P “progressive” takes on the news - the left wing of the Netroots crowd more than the democratic socialism Sanders has popularized.
It’s an impression that wasn’t entirely incorrect.
“I have no time for philosophical, airy bullshit,” Kulinski tells me from his home in Westchester, New York. “I don’t want to hear about Lenin. I don’t want to hear about Marx. I just want a super plainspoken, straightforward agenda with a straightforward way of selling it.”
With over 800,000 subscribers and nearly 670 million total views on TH-cam, selling a progressive agenda is clearly something Kulinski knows how to do - even Democracy Now, the long-standing flagship of progressive media, cannot match his reach on the platform. Chapo Trap House can certainly boast a wildly devoted fan base (and a not insignificant degree of media influence), but their audience is roughly half the size of Kulinski’s.
While Secular Talk might be more likely to be looped in with the progressive networks around Air America and Pacifica alums like Sam Seder than the more resolutely socialist world, Kulinski’s fiery rhetoric, razor-sharp class instincts, and knack for withering takedowns sets him apart from his peers. Judging by his rhetoric alone, he’s closer to a Eugene Debs than a Chris Hayes.
But unlike Hayes, Amy Goodman, or his friend Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks - who began airing Secular Talk on his web network seven years ago - the thirty-two-year-old Kulinski is virtually invisible in the mainstream media. Despite his enormous fan base, his show has never once been mentioned in the obligatory trend pieces on “the Millennial Left” pumped out by the prestige media. Nor has Kulinski’s name ever popped up at all in the New York Times, Vox, the New Yorker, New York Magazine, or the Washington Post, despite his leading role in cofounding Justice Democrats, the organization widely credited with sweeping Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of “the Squad” to power.
Just last week, his Wikipedia page was deleted. The reason? “There is very simply no [reliable source] coverage of this person,” according to one moderator. In new media, he’s king - the Sean Hannity of the Berniecrat left. In old media, he’s nobody.
I suspect there are a few reasons for that. There is nothing “cool” about Kulinski’s show. (As a friend put it, “‘Welcome to Secular Talk’ sounds like something you’d hear on Egyptian radio.”) His no-nonsense social-democratic politics won’t get him much cred with the Full Communism crowd. He records his show not in Brooklyn or Los Angeles, but in a studio he built himself in his modest Westchester home. His hair is too groomed and his taste in clothes too preppy to qualify as “Dirtbag Left.” Nor has he ever attended an n+1 release party. “Not only have I not attended one,” he says, “I have no idea what that means.”
And yet he’s astonishingly plugged-in for a young man in the suburbs. Wondering how Sanders ended up on the Joe Rogan Experience? Kulinski, a frequent guest on Rogan’s wildly popular show, introduced them. “You make the most sense to me,” Rogan told Kulinski on a recent episode. “You’re a normal person.”
Much like Sanders himself, Kulinski’s show has a massive audience that just doesn’t compute with our media’s understanding of “what the kids want” or even “what the left-wing kids want.”
It’s probably for the best - the very woke and very WASP-ish decorum haunting much of the media world is nowhere to be found in Secular Talk. “Corporate Democrats over-focus on identity as a trick to divert you from the issues that unite us all - class issues,” he said on a recent episode.

Hollywood owes Susan Sarandon a giant apology.
I like Susan Sarandon. She's always on the right side of a given political issue, including this one, but her words at a pro-Palestinian rally were ill-advised. She said something along the lines of "Jews are now experiencing what Muslims have gone through" which made her (a) seem like she was relishing Jewish suffering and (b) that she'd ignored all the acts of genocide, ethnic cleansing and oppression done against Jews throughout the centuries.
Don't get me wrong, I'm as critical of Israel as Sarandon, and I'm a fan of her as an actor and as an activist, but her specific words were problematic and came across as genuinely antisemitic.

Mark Ruffalo is usually very outspoken about Palestine, he had a hiccup a few years ago when he was threatened by the studios he worked for and backtracked momentarily, but as far as I understand, he's backtracked on the backtracking he did and now consistently calls for ceasefire and donates to Organizations trying to get aid to Palestinians. He has a huge activist heart, was very involved in the demonstrations following the murder of George Floyd, and he's frequently spoken out on behalf of labor unions and the miners who were and still are striking.

Those who attended that Met Gala event tainted their names and a very few of them are now doing damage control.
What’s becoming so obvious to people now is that colonialism has never ended just rebranded with different terms. From Natives indigenous people being called “savages” in the old days to now being called “terrorist” by neocolonialists who are neoliberals, neoconservatives, and zionist.
1) Savages is now “terrorist”
2) Civilizing them is now “bringing them democracy”
We can all see Israel is a colonial project being supported by former and current colonials such as U.S, UK, and others who also control territories of indigenous natives in Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands, Hawaii, and many more.
The liberation of Palestine will definitely give RISE to many indigenous natives around the world to free themselves from western domination. This is the underline ripple effect that the U.S government and its puppet allies don’t want to happen.

Think about all the children who suffered being buried alive when all those buildings bombed and collapsed, not everybody die right away
Think of the babies that were put in ovens and burned, or women raped
Think about the baby that was placed in an oven, with the parents begging terrorists to stop to let their child live, offering anything. While the Hamas terrorists turned up the oven and burned the baby alive. Imagine the parents hearing the screams of their baby. Then they killed the parents, calmly, because they were taking drugs to disable their feelings of compassion.
October 7th, 2023, Never Forget, Never Again.
Thats hamas fault for starting the war
For not letting the people leave those buildings so they can be casualties of war and blame Israel when it's hamas that's killing
That story is debunked.@@TheNextCubed

I’d like to thank Kehlani for bringing this out and calling people out in the industry for being silent while in the industry herself
Alyssa milano has been good on this as well
Keep going on what you are doing
I love your humanity and the fight for humanity. It seems we are lost it somehow.
I am watching your videos from the other side of the world and it gives me hope.
Thanks again for being a real one bro.
Pedro Pascal is Chilean 🇨🇱 and a lot of people don’t realize that Chile 🇨🇱 is home to the largest Palestinian 🇵🇸 community in the world outside of the Middle East. The Chilestinians 🇨🇱🇵🇸 are largely Palestinian Christian and have been in Chile 🇨🇱 since the 19th Century, many Chilestinians 🇨🇱🇵🇸 have a lot of say in Chilean politics, 1/4 of the members of Chilean congress is of Arab Palestinian origin 🇵🇸. There is even the famous Palestino Soccer Football Club ⚽️ based in Santiago 🇨🇱, which has a loyal fan base and many players also happened to be of Arab Christian descent and have played for both the Chilean 🇨🇱 and Palestinian 🇵🇸 national teams. Many of the UFC guys I believe are of Chechen and Circassian Muslim background. The Circassian Genocide is a very underreported Genocide commented by the Russian Empire 🇷🇺 in the late 19th Century that I recommend people do more research on.
And Americans need to remember the Chilean 9/11 that the US did to Chile!
❤ I am aware if the Circassian genocide. It is devastating.
Someone has to be held account to all these dead civilians. This is outrageous!!
Thanks. Great job.
Thank you, Kyle.
shout out to the first real celebrity who called out Israel. . . Macklemore

In Jamaica we have some Israeli young ladies they love Jamaica and seem at home there. Our Jamaican citizens are very kind to them. They said they are chilling out because of the war.
I can't help but think the poor Palestinians especially childrens have no where to go life is so unfair.
So are they speaking pit about genocide?
Be careful Jamaica. Before you know it they will claim your birthright...the Palestinians did they same. No one wanted them then out of their love and mercy the Palestinians invited theses monsters in....see what is happening???. Don't trust them! They are master manipulators
While they should be treated with dignity, there's no such thing as an "israeli". They're immigrants turned colonials.
Keep Being The Light!
Celebs have been getting blocked by their fans because they aren't speaking up. It's hurting their pocketbook.
It only took until there was nothing left but dust.....
Zionism has more in common with National Socialism than people realize.
Theodor Herzl (1860-1904), the founder of modern Zionism, recognized that anti-Semitism would further his cause, the creation of a separate state for Jews. To solve the Jewish Question, he maintained “we must, above all, make it an international political issue.” Herzl wrote that Zionism offered the world a welcome “final solution of the Jewish Question.” In his “Diaries”, page 19, Herzl stated, “Anti-Semites will become our surest friends, anti-Semitic countries our allies.”
ZIONISM is the NUMBER 1 ENEMY OF JUDAISM AND MOST JEWS DON’T REÀLIZE IT?
Also Zionism collaborated a shocking lot with Fascism and Nazism. Zionism in the Age of the Dictators by Lenni Brenner talks about that.
There’s way more but Correct, please also don’t forget Jabotinsky
@@a.d.9729 Mussolini told Jabotinsky his Zionism was Fascism.
💯 👏 👏 👏 👍 👍
Herzl also laid out the plan to steal the land, he called it "expropriate" to make it sound better, but it's all there, this "Father of Israel" wrote out the whole disgusting plan has been in the works now for over 100 years.
Thanks!
John Cusack has been great on Twitter atleast
He was in Thin Red Line.
His career has been quiet for a long time. I'm not saying there's a connection whatsoever, but I am curious about that, seeing as he was a very popular leading man throughout the 80s, 90s and most of the 00s.
@@water78149 He was in the Thin Red Line? I don’t remember his character.
@@twatts1523 Cusack was Capt John Gaff. I looked it up.
In the movie, he was telling Colonel Tall the troops needed water, and he replied how he's going to give him a medal, and Gaff kept looking at him, so Tall finally replied, he's going to get them water later on.

Annie Lennox has been onto this for months
Yeah, Annie has spoken out about the Palestinians for a while now.
As Post Malone said, Hollywood is Bleeding
Joseph Reinach, a French Jewish member of parliament who was opposed to Zionism, dismissed the idea, arguing that Jews descended from Israelites were a tiny minority. In his view, conversion had played a major role in the expansion of the Jewish people, and, in addition, he claimed, the majority of "Russian, Polish and Galician Jews descend from the Khazars, a Turkish people. who converted to Judaism en masse at the time of Charlemagne.
Kyrie posted a link to a video that mentioned the conversion, and it cost him a suspension and millions of dollars.
Yes! However, it's more than a claim or an argument. It's the truth.
@@blackhercules1753yes and it also had this weird we are the real Jews argument which is denying this peoples Jewish identity , like i a religious, cultural sense they are the people who kept kosher diet and all that , like this whole most Jews aren’t real inheritors of their own cultural tradition is literally Nazis talk
It's an interesting video. Some people may find it controversial. Kyrie just posted the link without any additional commentary endorsement. The ADL freak out, which brought about Kyrie's suspension, actually directed more traffic to the documentary than they would have otherwise received. Good job, snowflakes.

I was happy to hear about Aaron Paul! They say never meet your heroes, but his politics seem pretty good.
The ICC and ICJ activity may indeed be a significant part of this. A lot of these celebs are some variation of casual neoliberals. And what I mean with that is they vaguely subscribe to neoliberal ideas, but they're really relatively checked out of politics for the most part. They just care about whatever the cause of the week is. And people like this have been told for decades now that institutions like the ICC and the ICJ are legitimate when it comes to dictators and whatnot. So getting that legitimate, institutional stamp of approval I think probably does get their attention. And when an issue starts gaining steam, and it starts spreading through the cocktail parties, and through their circles on social media, suddenly they become hyper-aware of it and feel forced to comment.
Which is good. They might raise even more awareness among especially younger voters which could put even more pressure on Biden.
It's the countries at the ICJ. The ICJ and the UN don't have a record, and they'll word it passively, so any side gets deniability so they don't have to do anything. The ICC is instrumental though, but took too long, and they're trying to silence them.
Yes, the same ICJ and ICC that they hid behind when they applied the double standard of international law for decades and decades, the same ICC and ICJ they pretended is objective because they wanted to further the agenda of the US and their allies has now turned on Israel. There are two options:
1) turn on the ICC and ICJ and delegitimize your own arguments about tons of other foreign policy issues, or
2) turn against a US ally in one foreign policy issue.
I know Kyrie is an NBA player, but hes one of Hollywoods biggest enemies. Hes always said what he wants, not what the media wants, and thats why hes always had a target on his back. Thats why the media has slandered him whenever possible.
Dude is an independent thinker and a really good human. He makes mistakes like everyone
He’s like the opposite of Kanye. They both say what they want and have targets on they back but Kanye doesn’t seem to be a good person😂
@MichelangeloBeats That's pretty damn accurate from my opinion.
@@GTNoverYep but I don't trust Kyrie's intentions not even a little bit. He was attacking Jews for no reason.
@runrafarunthebestintheworld He never attacked a jew once. That was part of the media slander. Dude referenced a book that may have had some antisemitic rhetoric in it. Referencing a book or even endorsing a book does not mean you endorse all of its ideas.
So far I haven't even seen anyone say something that is specifically antisemitic from the book. I've seen the book claims about conspiracies that Jewish people have done, but that isn't antisemitic, even if its entirely false. And it's OBVIOUSLY not about the race at that point, it's about the actions they are claiming Jewish people did.
I'm from Costa Rica, since this country doesn't have an army, many people here refrain from expressing opinions "because we don't have an army" which is BS. However, yesterday the All Eyes on Rafah IG post was shared by pretty much all the people I follow. I'm sure the counter of shares was altered by IG because no way it barely made it to 34million worldwide
40million plus. It was the fastest share ever.
