Landing A Plane On Water | Aviat Husky A-1B

I had never experienced landing on water before, so we decided to take this Husky that was converted to floats, to a nearby lake and put here down a few times. I learned a little bit about water operations. This turned out to be a good showcase of what the Husky can do.

did not retracted water rudders on take off... any explanation ?

When lined up and ready for take off you don' t need water rudders for steering as adding power will make air flow over the fin control your direction.
Raising water rudders before take off will help minimise drag shortening take off distance
