My Nigerian friend said it's amazing how South Africans are from different tribes but when they speak their own languages we still understand each other. She said she is from the Yoruba tribe and if she had a conversation with a person from the Igbo tribe she wouldn't understand them if they spoke in their language. As a South African ,I didn't realize it until she said it.

SA eleven official languages, they are all official national languages. SAns don't need to speak any foreign language while they are in their country. Foreign speakers should choose what language they want to communicate from these eleven languages : Tsonga, Sotho, Xhosa , Afrikaans, Tswana, Zulu, English, Venda, siPedi, Ndebele, Swati, you choose which one you want to communicate with SAns. We use English for traveling and international purposes and in work places where is needed. We don't have stress on communicating as we will choose a language that will suite both different individuals in their interactions. SAns come from many ordeals that can't be compared to those running away from them. And we are protecting ourselves and the country so that we are never taken advantage of, as it already happening. We have no time for hating other people, we love them. But they must love themselves and where they come from. It is not a disgrace to be not in a space that like Europe. Of course SAns love each other because that is something that kept them united and loving each other, though we're from nine provinces with different culture, tradition and speaking differently, but we found ways to speak, listen and understand each other, but not fighting each other. That is what our political, religious and traditional leaders taught themselves from long ago down to this generation. Loving , protecting, and working as one person LOVE for many years.
It's hard to take this from SAns 😍you'll burn LOL 😀. There are periods that they disagree with one another to some hot point, but quickly resolve that. THANK YOU GOD FOR THAT. We can stay SAns for another million years, but we will always choose loving each other for better and for worse. Another thing I think SA are related at some point, having a DNA of each other. Not only Zulus Xhosas, Sotho Tswana etc and coloureds and Boers too have that DNA. There's a lot of history there that at some point with no choice but automatically unite SA.
As long as people learn to create Europe they like in their territories, just in Dubai. Dubai was a desert and its people work on it and change to what it is today GREAT DUBAI. To be honest you are a welcomed visitor enjoy your stay. I hope all others fellow Africans can just learn to make their countries a better SA and Dubai and be satisfied. Sister 🇿🇦 to 🇳🇬 sister, we don't hate any visitor we loved them for the longest time of more than 30 years ago since they keep coming to SA up today. It is just that it's too overwhelming to receive so many people from every corner through our borders every hour of every single day. And the worse crimes also keep on escalating such a way that never seen before. We have our share of criminals that we manage. But having so many unrecognized, undocumented strangers in our systems, just bankrupt the country and resources are becoming a problem, hence you see so many marching and protesting is because of over growing population quite rapidly and with no growing economy, but decreased energy and falling of development because of vandalism and dismantling of the infrastructures. That is why you see these people of SA in the streets protesting because everything just collapse and moving from good to worst every day. Everything good about our beloved country is going to south. Nothing good coming only problems with no solutions and vandalism, killings, theft and more have become the priority to SAns thanks to our careless politicians and President for creating the worse mess ever seen in SA. Otherwise no hatred for our visitors. Mad we will be, because nothing favors SAns, only stress and that creates poverty so nobody has time to focus on other nationals needs or happiness. I'm sorry that, but it is what it is with SAns and that's the truth. Your video is good, to be true just enjoy your holiday or your studies, but don't focus much on other things.
      ❤️❤️❤️🙌🌍

I have never seen a Nigerian that understands South Africans the way you do, you are so positive.
Personally and many of South Africans have no problems with foreigners, we've had foreigners before apartheid. Even though they were not many as now, a lot have integrated and became South Africans fully. I think what ended up happening was when the boarders opened many from neighbouring countries so an opportunity to come, that's when majority of us got to know or see 'other people'.
We live in a global village, we should embrace and accept that, what's important though is wherever we find ourselves settling around the world is respect and abide by the rules of that country.
On behalf of South Africans I would say those who have progressive minds to contribute to this country positively are welcome to enjoy this country. As you said not all people are the same and you've realised how loving SAns are, some wouldn't understand or grasp what that a lot of you are here to bring skills that uplift the country.
Problem is some have created a negative picture like the case that happened few weeks ago with criminal gang syndicate story. It just 'confirmed' some of the things people do not like about those who are coming to ruin the image of foreigners.
We love you guys, we are not perfect and we want better South Africa with people that are also on the same page to move SA foward for everyone.
By the way I like your firmness, don't entertain bullies you are here legal my sister....

We need people to come n invest their experience n we build this country for all. Thank you my sister. We’ve got used to being bullied by people from other nationals… that’s why our defence mechanism is always on. We are often misunderstood that’s why we are labelled xenophobic (mostly by people who haven’t even set foot on this country) We are not perfect but we are striving to be hence we are always fighting for what’s right.
Those who live amongst us will tell you how much we love our African brothers and sisters from other countries especially those who came to built the country with us instead of destroying it.
We’ve welcome everyone from anywhere in the world and more especially Africa but our welcoming nature ends up attracting even those with bad intentions therefore tormenting a bad name on foreign nationals.
The best solution is to work with people like you my sister who are not bias and who came here with good intentions and help us fight those with bad intentions out of the country so that we can continue living together with love peace and harmony 😊 ✌🏽 🇿🇦🇳🇬🕊

The would be so much excitement when they were deployed even when they knew, they might die and chances of being killed by apartheid police were up 90%> south Africans were always happy to come back home and fight. We are not against immigrants, the problem SA can't absorb all the immigrants of Africa. Presently our youth do not have jobs, income thus are resorting to crime. Some immigrants they don't respect us and our laws. The other problem is that most foreigners they come to our country without documents or they hide them and they want our foreign affairs to provide them. Why don't go to their embassy for those documents. I have never hear any foreigner blaming their countries or embassy for not helping them with documentation or resources. Everyone is blaming our government and foreign affairs including the citizens of SA for their demises. It is really unfair. This is the cause of the hatred and anger towards foreigners. All SAfricans respect the sovereignty our other countries. No country in the world can allow undocumented person to enter the country. But in turn you allow SAfricans to keep about that. Peace in this country will prevail when foreigners start promoting lawlessness and crime in our country. Things can't continue like this. Even in Nigeria you won't be happy to see SAfricans doing lawlessness in your country. We don't have a patriotic government. It does not care about its people. It is only concern about what will the world say. Human rights is worse in SA is more concern about the welfare of the foreigners than SAfricans. Those are the things which increase animosity between locals and foreigners. To tell the honest SAfricans are poor and suffering than foreigners. Most jobs it is true are occupied by foreigners including our towns. Some romours say there is going to be full scale civil war in SA if things can continue unabated. My plea is that you legal immigrants work with the locals to address the ills which the locals are facing eg illegal foreigners, crime, prostitution, satanist churches, fake goods, murders, children trafficking, hijacking buildings etc. After 1994 SA is occupies the top position in crime worldwide. Things are falling apart. Most foreigners they don't want to work or capacitate our youth. They say they are lazy. It is untrue, they are getting the worst education system in the world. Lot of theory than practical work. They are unskilled, they can't compete with foreigners. Thus they say foreigners are taking their jobs. They can't be spectators in their only beloved country. SAfricans are very very patriotic with their country. They are prepared to die for it.

I'm so glad I came across this video, it delights me to see that some Africans from other states like us as South Africans. Since the end of the bans and sanctions that were lifted off South Africa, our national teams especially football began to participate in African championships and like tournaments; we endured persecution from our bother countries. Our people were treated badly and even assaulted just because they were South African.
South Africans are not xenophobic, we've long shared our space with foreigners who came to work as general labourers and professionally. Growing up in our homes were taught struggle stories and that most of the support came from African countries. Our parents hailed the struggle heroes of the continent and are still respected even today. At primary school we had foreigners as fellow students and not once I recall them being treated badly
