Bloody nice bike you got there! I don´t know very much about this bike, but it seems to be missing the plastic shield for the front disc brake. Maybe later models didn´t have that? I used to ride a blue/white -87 MTX which had that. I sure had some great times on that bike! And now I miss it, wish I had never sold it...
@kingkai86 Hi thanks, most were still available from Honda, at reasonable prices. Just a few parts had to be hunted out on the web, Couldnt find an original tail pipe though.
I fucking love my mtx, I always get looks riding round on it, and loads of men talking about how they had one haha one even came up to me and said hes had 5 :p
hello im trying to fix my honda mtx 125 and the indicators wont flash they just stay on full the whole time i think its to do with a fuse, it also drinks oil out the backside do u have any suggestion as you fixed yours up would be much apperciated thanks
I had an Honda MT50 this spring, but sold it due to bad gear box and bad swing. I never drove in on the road, only on my backyard. Is this too much if I should buy one of these? I need license for it too here in Sweden. This is rather heavy, isn´t it?
Oh so much! MT5 was around 80 kg and I thought that one was too heavy sometimes. Consider that I am weak and rather old, turning 45 soon so I have the best part of life behind me. I have put on many kilos the latest 6 months. Not good.
im finding that parts for my 83-85 200r RWD are impossible to find everybody in the dirtbike industry ive talked to including every Honda dealership and parts supplier in New Zealand never heard of the mtx models let alone the rarer 200cc
did you sell it? ive just bought a 1985 mtx 125r in decent condition and im just guna throw all my money at it, this is my first bike though. so ill probably do nothing but wash it until im confident i can ride without falling off :p

Hi, its just a Big One silencer, after hunting around for ages could never find a genuine tail pipe - the silencer on the bike lets it down a bit.

Did you ever find out if the CR caliper fits ? they look very similar
you can get a full set on ebay for £80 that's gauards headlight cover and side panels just change the ebay settings to world wide

can I drive this with the a1 ?? this bike has 18ps because you can only drive with 15ps ?? what can i do ??

Rather Light I'd say. Dry 98 kg. Extremely reliable.

Whats that spring on the exaust you can see close to the start?
It pulls the exhaust on the manifold that is bolted on the exhaust port of the cylinder
