If it is a functional scoliosis then surfing is by far the culprit here. While all sports are asymmetrical to some degreee, surfing is an extreme example of an asymerical sport. Ive surfed for over 20 years and have a bad scolisis from it. It throws everything out of alignment. At this point i wish i had never surfed. I love it, but i question whether or not it was really wortb it.

Wow I never knew it caused that. Is that because you hold tension so strongly to one side it sort of gradually angles your spine?
