Fantastic video, looked like a great tour. I would've gone to see it myself if it was operated by 60062 or if it didn't get dark so quickly at this time of year. First railtour I'm aware of that has visited Banbury Reservoir Sidings which certainly made it a highlight railtour of the year for track bashers
Thanks! Yeah for sure, cracking track clearances for those onboard. Funnily enough, me and my mate thought that Clitheroe Castle was the most boring tug that could've ended up on the tour, not just because of Steel on Steel and Drax but also because that loco had been used on a very recent tour (BLS "Garsdale Growlers" tour)
@@railquest Indeed, totally agree about Clitheroe Castle being the most boring option, but can't really blame Pathfinder if it was the only one available
@@theretrocrowe For sure. Currently there's only three DB Class 60s available for main line use whilst the fleet is being withdrawn so we best take what we get!
@@theretrocrowe I was on the tour and I understand DB arranged for 60024 to be taken off a freight at Toton so it was available. The tour as initially supposed to be 2 but it was clear early on that wouldn't happen

Unfortunately this is the last railtour hauled by a class 60
I was here on that day further down the platform from where you were
Ahh cool - was that at Dorridge?
@@railquestyes at dorridge and I saw you further down the platform
