Good comparison of some nice vintage sounding pick ups. Loved your playing. It was very musical & demonstrated what I wanted to hear from the pick ups. Your German accent doesn't detract at all from your thoughtful, clear delivery. Thanks.
First off KS you do not need to apologize for anything as I appreciate your efforts. I have watched this video several times and it seems to me that when you played the ToneRiders your were making a tiny bit better contact with 4,5,6 th strings. I am sure this was an unconscious on your part but that can make a huge difference in the sound of any given pickup. That being said the ToneRiders do seem to have a slightly fuller sound but it so hard to judge based upon any video on the web to be sure. The ArtFit sound pretty darn good to me and theses pickups could be easily tweeked to match the ToneRiders with very little effort.
I have these Tonerider Vintage mounted on my strat. They sound sparkly and clear as I like. The Chinese ones have more grit and are less transparent. Some people may like it, but I don't. They sound cheaper to my ears.
Yes you are right, they are both made in China. In the description of the Pickups it is written, that it is handmade, but you are right, I am curious too.. I ll try to get some kind of Produktion proof.. 😬
Taiwan, a free country. I use tonerider pv in bridge just for the price it does the vintage spec thing. But for neck where timbre is important I use Klein's 59's because it's USA goodness and great attention to detail
A Very Good Review, Thanks. For what I play and My style, I prefer the TR Pups. The Hand Wound sounds Good, I just Like the TR. I also like the Planet Tone which I put in one of my Strats last year. They are awesome.
Nice video dude. Gives a clear comparsin of the two pickups. I like both, they are surprisingly authentic and vintage sounding and i have a very expensive set of Kinman Woodstock plus in my Strat. Im beginning to see that there are a lot of fantastic options costing a lot less. Although i am yet to play a more responsive feeling and heavenly sounding Strat than my own I think it does sound a little refined and maybe lacks that vintage vibe kinda like CD compared with Vinyl. And by the way you dont need to apologise for your playing my friend, or indeed for your english speaking. Its light years ahead of my German!! Danke und weiter rocken!
Hi, I've seen your videos and I really like what you do. I bought a cheap guitar and I wanted to change the pickups, I want them ringing like the classic stratocaster budget 100 euros pre-cabled do you recommend them a good set also Chinese?
Your English is better than my English. I got stabbed through the face, one side to the other, by a violent offender, two teeth stopped the blade killing me. Both broken. Beautiful highs and lows , very sparkly bluesy sound of music from u
Material wise and quality wise, the feel very good, I think.. I got som telecaster hit classics last week.. I will make a comparison video with tonerider hot classics pretty soon.
I have 3 guitars with Dragonfire pickups. There are serial numbers on the back of the set I have in my hand. I Googled those serial numbers and they show up as Artfit parts. Dragonfire is an American guy from Oregon who apparently buys his pickups from Artfit in China. I've been happy with all my dragonfires and you can get them faster. After listening to a bunch of demos and reviews on TH-cam I'm planning to buy a set of Tonerider Classic Blues which sound a little better to me than either of the two in this video. All three sound good though.
Hi, I have a couple of questions, are you still using the Artfit 65' pickups and how do you feel about them? Also, are they more responsive than the V70 pickups in your other video? I'm debating on either one from aliexpress for a guitar build, I'm looking for the pickup that responds best for a bluesy low gain
The Toneriders are way better. I put some guitarfetish professional vintage in my Strat and they sound absolutely amazing like the toneriders here for half the price. IJS
Don’t apologise about your English it’s fine .nice playing your actually demoing the pick ups not how many notes you can play a second .sick and tired of all thst lest trash the sound .Tone rider are a little warmer .China one have a little more sparkle.down to the bull and magnets .Sa y the warmth of the time riders do it for me .both lovely sets of pick ups .well done
@@ksguitars5310 What were the major difference in sound/tone that you noticed? Toneriders are supposed to be pretty good, right? Were the new ones a little bit nicer overall>
@@MMcG25 so in my ear, the handwound from china are warmer, more bluesy and a bit less defined. The toneriders are very nice and a set.of Pickups, you can't go wrong with. Maybe I do a better side by side video when I got used to the sound differences.
@@ksguitars5310 Sounds good man. You have a good feel. Try putting a brass nut on the guitar. Take the plastic one off and the brass one will clear up the tuning problems. A good set of tuners for bending the strings and the whammy bar will fix the tuning problem. Other than that sounds good 👍.

I agree with the other comment that the Toneriders sounded great to my ears and your playing was very nice Thanks !
The Tonerider pickups are sweet sounding to my ear. The neck pickup specially. And your guitar playing is just fine. Thank you!
Thank you very much!
The stratocaster is for you. You got the blues soul. Thanks for this!
Thank you cery much! A very Kind compliment!
Yes, no apologies necessary! (My German is terrible 😅) Thank you so much for doing this video.
Great video by the way!

I quite enjoyed that! Definitely dont need a warning for youre playing, it was nice and clean.
It doesn't particularly matter if they're hand or machine wound. I suspect they're both machine wound. The tonerider pickups are made in China too. 👍

Damn I really like the way the China ones sound. And your playing is very good along with your English.

Hey Ryan, thank you so much for your comment. This mean a lot to me..
kinman are crap pickups.

What are you talking about ! you play very well , great tones coming from those pickup . I like them a lot .
The Artfits sound great. For the price i would not complain at all.
Danke für den Test! Die Tonerider klingen wesentlich definierter und melodisch. Die anderen klingen flach, plinkig und fad. 🤷🏻♂️
Rock on dude, Your English is waybeter than my German. Nice vid by the way.

Ich habe das Deutch gelernt fur 6 jahre und spreche nicht gut. English is way easier.
The China pickups sounds pretty good! They've improved a lot including guitar manufacturing.
Material wise and quality wise, the feel very good, I think.. I got som telecaster hit classics last week.. I will make a comparison video with tonerider hot classics pretty soon.
The Toneriders sound fuller and have better responsiveness to pick attack. The Chinese ones aren't too bad though, for the price.

How long have you been playing ? That sounded great!
Thank you very much! I startet playing guitar in erly 2020
What's all this about your playing - you sound pretty darn good to me. :-)
Hey Angus, thank you very much!!! This compliment is very nice to hear/read! 😁

Toneriders and dude... you can play!
Thanks a lot! This is very nice to hear!
Tone riders my go to!!!
Which do you prefer?
Mmhh not easy to answer... I think I will have to make more miles on the artfit.. Till now I prefer the toneriders
That's beautiful sounding. Novice or pro. Love that sound.

just bought some sounds good
Great video 👍
Thanks a lot! Very happy to hear that!
USA- Sheptone .....Europe - Q Pickups from Croatia. Canada - chevalier 59 , Australia - Sliders 59. the Best.
Toneriders s blow them other ones into oblivion. Truly awful harsh that second set. No flow in second set but tone riders seamless.

The Toneriders are better, like a stock vintage guitar
Exacty the reason you cant just have one strat !
Artfit set sounds a little thinner and dirtier to me. Anyway somebody could found them pleasant at ear...
Lol, from America, those shorts are what the ladies wear. Good review though. Am thinking about getting those pickups.
I can see boobs.

How much did they cost?
I paid 52,00 Euros including shipping. For all of them!
