- A playthrough of Mc O'River's 1992 Super NES shoot em up arcade port, Aero Fighters.
Played through multiple times to show some of the hidden stuff:
0:00 Playthrough on hard with Villiam
18:48 Playthrough on hard with Rabio
36:16 Boss rush mode played on hard with Hien
This is a great port of the of Video System's arcade shooter Sonic Wings. The graphics and sound, though downgraded, still carry the arcade feel quite admirably, and though the game is a bit easy by SNES shooter standards, there's a fair amount of stuff hidden away to keep you occupied for several playthroughs. I remember this not being rated that well when it came out, and to this day I still have no idea why!

An excellent SNES shooter that got unfairly panned by the critics when it was new, and really still doesn't get the recognition it deserves for such fun, simple arcade shooter goodness.
The Aero Fighters series are pretty much all good games, and out of this game and series, eventually Psikyo came to be (the company born supposedly due to Video Systems wanting to do more of these types of shooters for the Neo Geo, and the head guy didn't want to work with horizontal monitors, and it shows in all his company's games requiring vertical monitors).
For me, without a doubt, it is the best super nintendo shoot em up and it even seems more fun than star fox and the music in this version is much better than the arcade, rare exceptions in the snes

Interesting...you like this game better than Biometal? If you haven't tried Biometal yet you should check it out. I haven't played this game before but in my eyes Biometal is the best shmup the Snes has. I will check this game out when I get the chance.
I wouldn't say panned but rightfully criticized. It does feel like a pretty mid shooter compared to gems like U.N. Squadron, Gradius 3, and Phalanx. I just played this game for the first time last night after having modded my SNES Classic years ago with a ton of new games. I wouldn't call this game a bad shoot em up, but it is imo pretty mid.
Screw the critics, I thinks this game is very fun.
Childhood memories
Cool game! I cannot wait to play this.
The best plane in the game.
WTF She jumped without a parachute 17:27 LOL
Doesn't everybody jump out of a cargo plane into a harrier in flight like that? How hard can it be?
I had no idea
I always sucked at these types of games but I always enjoyed the idea. Funny how the Japanese pilot shoots shuriken and kunai lol
just getting into this one now
Dude is that the same robot volleyball referee in hyper v ball?
18:18
Video Systems did make a volleyball game, so it is possible.
Not even a scratch... Maan thats Dope!!!
One of the snes best shmups!
My childhood is here
I like how the soundtrack is darker themed than the arcade.
Recuerdo cuando jugaba esto en 2006
Yo tengo varios recuerdos borrosos en mi mente de este juegazo, es mi infancia literal
I remember thinking as a kid that Arab chopper was peak design. Still do, after all those years.
This is my favorite shooter on the snes. I personally think it’s better than Space Megaforce although that game is a close second place.
Man the way this guy slips past all the spread projectiles...
"A great port of the Tecmo arcade shooter Sonic Wings?!" That doesn't make sense! It's a great port of the U.S. translation of Sonic Wings published by Video System's (who made an awesome arcade version, otherwise known as Aero Fighters) U.S. division Mc'O River (later Video System USA).
You're right, I got myself apparently confused between the developer and the Japanese arcade publisher :p The original developer was Video System who handled their own port (like you said, Mcoriver is video system) My bad!
@@NintendoComplete This version of Aero Fighters was actually done by MIcronics who also did MANY bad NES ports of arcade games.
@@Jac2Mac Mc O'River, a subsidary of Video Systems worked on this, not Micronics. They never even sniffed this game, so that is false info.
@@NintendoComplete this game is much better than star fox from snes
Otro nivel juegazo
So expensive
Interesting. But, the concept for this game existed first with 1942 and 1943.
But with those 2 Capcom shmups, it's a reimagined WW2.
Nice
I just found out the last stage will turn to red if you took too long. What's gonna happen if you still in there?
The best vertical scroll game ever, england upgraded is very strong
Eu conheci esse jgo com o nome de "Sonic Wins"
They must have meant this game with their epilepsy warnings

Solid
Interesting, interesting I have heard that this game wasn't great. After watching this video for roughly 5 levels I can say at the very least it looks solid. I should have known not to trust the people putting this game down after they tried to stop me from buying Biometal when it first came out. That was, at the time, the best shmup the Snes had I thought.
While I don't think Biometal reaches the same heights as Gleylancer, Thunder Force III, Thunder Force IV, and Musha I think it holds its own quite nicely. I'm now thinking this one does as well. I wish we would have gotten a UN Squadron that didn't have any slowdown because...oh man did I love that game.
Addendum- Sorry, I'm a gamer and I love all of it. I started off in 1986 with the Nes and Master System. I continued forward with my Genesis/Sega CD and Snes. From the time I started gaming I decided to experience everything I could no matter what. I play everything across all platforms, genres, and generations of gaming today including the 9th generation (Series X and PS5).
0:14--That looks like the robot ref from Hyper V-Ball!!!
Both Video System games, so no surprise.
Que nivel de juego
I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED
The Vice ad before this was crazy
What is Vice?
They do documentaries, google them, or check out their youtube channel, they cover alot of touchy subjects.

Que buen juego, lo malo que en 2022 vale cerca de los 1000 dolares!
yuenling, petco, chevy? I wouldn't buy any of that. It's like they think I'm thirsty or my dog is in dire need of a bath. I have never bought anything from an advertisement!

시발 ㅋㅋㅋ 이걸

this is a rip off of 1942, there is no way this game costs 1k
US version does indeed, it didn't see a huge print run. The Japanese version, Sonic Wings, has come up in price, but not to the magnitude of the US version.
Ese juego es la mera verga lo juego en mi celular
This game is a original playstation
