    This is very nutritionally rich! Every component is just so healthy, love the idea of making cheese out of lentils…brilliant! And so creative! You could eat as much of this as you want without feeling guilty, and I bet all that protein makes it really satisfying and filling.

    I LOVE this recipe!! I've never made the vegan cheese sauces, because I think it's silly to add potato sauce to potatoes. Or starchy potato sauce to a starchy pasta. But this is just perfect, thank you so much for sharing!!

    Excellent video and Mac & Cheese recipe I will have to try it 😋 I have had green Mac and Cheese made with potatoes, spinach and broccoli. There's so many versions of Vegan Mac and Cheese you can make which makes it more interesting and adventurous compared to the boring dairy version and I prefer the vegan versions.

    Do you have any tips on boiling the lentils? When I boil, the lentils soak up most of the water which made the sauce pretty thick to begin with and didn’t spread as nicely. Im sure this is user error. I’m not sure if I’m using a proper sized pot. Thank you so much for this recipe as someone who has many allergies, IBS and loving a plant based life, it’s truly refreshing to come across a recipe like this one!

    • @PlantifullyBased
      @PlantifullyBased  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tamikah! So I am actually thinking it may be the blending and not the boiling. Depending on what blender you use, you may need to blend a little longer or add on a bit more liquid. But I’d you want to try this recipe again you can also just add a little more water into the pot when you boil it! You are welcome glad this recipe can help :)

    Where are the pots and pans from?

    • @PlantifullyBased
      @PlantifullyBased  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi I get them from Marshalls! From
      The brand masterclass I’ve looked online to try and find it to link but can’t seem to find it anywhere online.

  • @cplgirard4070
    @cplgirard4070 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    nice.
    edit: when you ''add back a little bit of water into the lentils'' you said, just a little. What, a cup? so 3 total? does it matter?

    • @PlantifullyBased
      @PlantifullyBased  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks not really a measurement for that it’s just a bit like how i showed in the video maybe 1/4 cup it’s just because they can get stuck to the pot sometimes after you soak them so if there’s a little water in there they come out. It’s really not a big deal you don’t have to even do it if you don’t want to

    Could I sub cornstarch for the tapioca starch? 🤔 Looks great!

    • @PlantifullyBased
      @PlantifullyBased  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! For this recipe you can if you need to (I still wouldn’t say it’s favorable) but it will thicken it, won’t add the stretch, gooey property like tapioca flour does. I discuss it in the blog post plantifullybasedblog.com/2021/07/31/high-protein-vegan-mac-and-cheese-soy-nut-and-gluten-free/

      I use squash and chickpeas for the base of my cheese sauce. Also, add a bit of tahini or store bought hummus if I'm out of chickpeas and tahini. That's the fun thing about these recipes, you can modify it to suit your taste buds.
