Can we talk about how the 5 seed mavs have more wins than the 2 seed Bucks 💀
Discrepancies like that between the two conferences have been a thing for like the last two decades lol. I’ll never forget when the 2009 Suns missed the Playoffs with 46 wins-they would’ve been 5th in the East that year. 💀 Meanwhile teams under .500 have routinely snuck into the playoffs in the East.

That is because East sucks. It has been like that for years. Last 23 years West won 16 times. And that is with all Superteams from East like Boston 2008 or Miami 2011.

Because at the time the thinking behind those comments were that a playin waters down the post season cuz you're giving teams a chance to make to make the playoffs that didn't deserve to be there in the first place. I love the playin but I'm just saying how most people felt at the time

As a Boston fan, the pressure scares me and a Miami or Philly first round matchup is not easy for any team, let alone the stories between Boston and those teams. If they lose, the East is completely up for grabs and Boston has another year questioning Tatum and Brown
barely any mention of the pacers who have the tiebreaker over the heat, magic, and cavs. honestly if they just stay the 6 seed they can easily take care of the knicks, magic, or cavs, then hopefully play the bucks in the 2nd round- we’ve all seen how their regular season matchups went

I think the play in has been so good, that I'd go even further and raise the stakes even more with it. If I were in charge, I'd only guarantee playoff spots to seeds 1-4. Then have the teams ranked 5-12 play in a single win or go home play in game, with the 5 playing the 12, 6 vs 11, 7 vs 10, and 8 vs 9.
I think it'd be amazing because it would heighten the importance of the regular season and trying to secure one of the top 4 spots, which would encourage players to play more often. At the same time it would even further expand access to the playoffs, allowing even more teams to have a chance and diminishing tanking even more. On top of that, it would give us one weekend in April where you had 8 games with insanely high stakes and a ton of drama.
As a Wolves fan I’m just hoping we get a 1 or 2 seed, I’d hate to have to play the Suns or the Mavericks in round 1. I’d rather play the Mavericks than the suns.

@@atm2538 Timberwolves only played the mavs once with both Luka and Kai playing, and they lost. 2 games they played didn't have either of them playing and the one game where it was only luka he went off for 39 and 13. And this was all before Gafford/PJ. Timberwolves don't have enough to handle the new look mavs at full strength.

Love your videos Kenny, and I don't mean to be nitpicky, but the Mavs recent stretch has definitely hoisted them up. They went from the 8th seed at 38-29 to the 5th seed at 48-30. Moving up 3 seeds is huge, especially as they will likely avoid the play-in

As a Celtics fan, I’ve felt left out of the entire ending of this season because we’re just chilling now that we wrapped up the one seed. It’s interesting watching all this with nothing to lose or gain, in terms of playoff seeding. Just glad there are so many teams fighting this far into the season

Idk man, every time by the end of the regular season i see the east being way weaker than the west overall.
