I have a rare TransAm. I have taken steps to insure it is not stolen as well.. Even so that has not stopped some from trying. Here is the kicker, I live 80 miles from the nearest major town or city in rural Wisconsin.. and still three car thieves thought they could get away with it apparently.. 2 German Shepherd Combat Bite trained K-9's and my Benelli M4 Tactical Semi Auto .12 gauge stopped them cold. What was even more funny is that when the Sheriff arrived that night at 0400 hours to take them off my hands, they tried to get me arrested for using a gun against one of them and sicing my dogs on the other two. My dogs woke me quietly, no noise that night.. As I geared up, I watched their every move on a handheld LED display for my security cameras around my property. That allowed me to setup and take them by surprise when I had the best position on them. Had they made entry into the garage, an alarm in my house would have notified me as well but the dogs woke me before they got a chance. Later we saw they had actually checked the pull shed, barn and workshop first, going to the detached garage next to the house last. When the dogs woke me, they were all near the main barn still and by the time I was ready, they had just started trying the doors and two windows of the garage for entry. Times have changed and thieves are getting bolder and bolder these days.. And the fact they will travel a long way to get something they want, is even more of a concern.. We even have thieves that come out this far and cut off all the copper cables for the major mile long irrigation rigs that are installed on numerous farmland fields etc.. Why so many countries like the UK and Australia have folded and given up all rights to defend yourself is beyond me.. but here in the USA, it is obvious why we will never give up that right.
yeah sadly if we had done anything like what you describe to a thief we would be heading to jail that night, penalties for there type of crime are generally non existent, we'd get a much harsher sentence than the thief lol. If someone decides to enter my property illegally they won't be walking out regardless of the law here in Scotland.
It is too bad all the changes you have gone through over there.. Having been a few times in the US Navy, Scotland and the UK overall used to be so much more like us.. today, not so much.
Omg this is better than any tv show. I’m hooked! You just can’t have anything nice and someone else wanting it, pisses me off. Glad the owner got his car back.
13:55. They usually say the thieves are close by. Look at these two guys very quickly appear as the car is driven off. They don't even look towards the road you're on - almost like they're avoiding eye contact. If you were going down a quiet road, and then you see commotion on an adjacent street, it is only normal to at least look. they never turned their heads
by watching the vid , that signal was not boosted at all , as it takes around 30 seconds to set up and do it , also they had no equipment with them . i suspect they had a remote key belonging to the car . i suspect the customer bought the car second hand with either only one remote or the dealer had one remote and programmed a third remote to the car to make up two remotes . but did not disable the missing remote .
No need. They simply scan the house for the WiFi signal coming from the key itself. They copy that with their scanner, then send a signal to the car, Bingo it's theirs to take. And, it doesn't matter if it's a 300,000 Quid Maybach or a common or garden Rustang ,they are all stolen the same way.
@@Mercmad , i know how the system works , and even seen it demonstrated . in the vid all you saw is two guy with no equiment in there hands walk up to a car and unlock it . the house was not scanned and signal boosted . as i pointed out , most prob had the spare remote key .
They need to program a new key to make it easy to drive away and re-lock so they scan the owner's key on the first visit, go away and program a key and then steal the car in seconds on a second visit probably the next day.
MTrack - Fantastic recovery system. Keep up the good work chaps. I find your videos very informative and entertaining. The scrotes will stop at nothing for their next hit. The only criticism is that I believe you don't entirely understand how a relay attack works in relation to the key functionality. Same with the comments on your BMW M2 a few months ago. The manufacturers are fighting back in the guise of motion detection keys. With these the key goes to sleep after a short period of inactivity. Will stop a relay attack when the keys are stationary. I have assisted in recovering a few RR's that have been "relayed" and a give away is that they are left insecure as once they are away from the owners key they have no method of locking again until a new key has been programmed. The thieves generally park the stolen vehicle up in a remote location and leave it for a few days to see if it has a tracking system fitted. Last thing they want is to take it back to their slaughter yard and lead the cops to them... "Wave 2" is our common enemy here. Not confined to Ford and the cars security system is not flawed. Any car with keyless entry/start can be compromised by this method of attack. (BMW / Audi / VW / Range Rover / Lexus etc..) The Wave 2 does not copy the key, it simply extends the range of the customers key so that the car thinks it is talking to the proper key. The Wave 2 does not keep a copy of the original key and once out of range of the customers house it is not possible to restart the car if it is stalled or turned off. Ideally if you have an older keyless type of car without the motion detection keys then as is said on the video a faraday pouch should be used to store your keys when not in use. Don't forget the spare ones as well!! Also make sure you get a good quality pouch as the cheep ones off of eBay wear out and become less / non effective once the keys have been in and out a few times. And yes putting your keys in the microwave is a good Faraday cage until someone turns it on and nukes your keys !!!!!
Too bad this product and level of support isn’t available in the USA🇺🇸 - I enjoy these videos. It’s a bit like “Radio Fox Hunting” done by ham radio operators.

Quite literally they use the trackers used for Falconry in these trackers. When they say it's "gone into alarm", they have a simple GSM enabled GPS tracker which triggers a relay to the falconry tracker. They can last 30 - 40 days on a small battery.

I've watched every one of these episodes with great interest. I'm convinced that the American model of LoJack is deeply flawed and that Automatics has a FAR superior service. In the US, LoJack has handed over recovery to Law Enforcement only . There is no independent recovery team that can act in the quick fashion that is needed. This is where Automatics has revolutionized customer service for this product. I would LOVE to see an equivalent product in the US. On-star and LoJack can not compete . In the US they have turned this into nothing but an insurance industry pay out.

@@domdraper3221 What kind of backward logic is that? That makes their pension well earned and deserved. If the current generation think the elderly are a burden on society or their pension is a drain on public funds, then they are completely delusional. The governments they voted in also borrowed a shit ton of money that the younger generations have to struggle to pay back. The pensioners don’t deserve shit. Sorry.
There used to be a story that the Ford Taurus had one of just thirty two(?) possible keys or something obscene like that. The idea being that the odds of someone having the twin key for your Taurus *and* ever realizing that fact were extremely poor due to the fact normal people don't go around testing their car keys in random cars. Of course it came to light when two people with identical keys and near identical looking cars parked in the same row of a Costco or something and drove home the wrong cars.

good idea but in reality not so much car manus dont really like doing too much custom work so at best theyd have lets say 10 locations to choose from so straight off theives just need to check 10 locations then theres regional bias by some system you may discover certain regions only tend to have say 5 of the 10 locations on average so thats faster then you got dealerships who will fuck the whole thing up by only ever ordering cars with them in the same location cause its easier for them however... your onto the right track of thinking and if you were to do that yourself youd be onto a little bit of a winner but remember that depending on how you do the switch theives may just rip out the panels and hot wire
Besides a Tracker that may end up in recovering your stolen car, it's a prudent preventative measure to install a reputable after-market alarm system, that includes an ignition immobiliser. Also if you have a driveway, consider Investing in a lockable ground post, or an electronic smart bollard, restricting all access in and out of your driveway. Don't make your car easy to steal, manufacturers have done a good job of that already. This is my opinion, I could be wrong.
It’s about time car manufacturers got up to date with keyless motors, they are a step behind the thieves, . Well done Automatrics 10 out of 10 Police 5 out of 10
My Audi s5 convert was stolen. Police told me they leave it parked somewhere for a couple of days and see if its tracked and recovered . Then return, so they may be waiting days. Krafty kunts..
I wouldn't follow the Police's advice with a steering lock. Invest in a discklok. While they can still be broken into (if they know what they're doing) at least it will still be there if they don't. As proven, that stoplock is just terrible and can easily be bypassed in many ways. Customer should also invest in a Clifford 650 or at least a Thatcham approved alarm system. Though credit to Automatrics for hiding that tracker extremely well.
@@AutomatricsMtrack Are you sure about that 😊. I am one of your customers & definitely didn't hide the tracker myself but Tony did however I do feel secured knowing the car is protected.
@@AutomatricsMtrack was your phone's gps working, gps should work perfectly fine where it was as its open sky, maybe the tracker is set to give up to fast (like 15-30 seconds instead of letting it run for max time of 240 seconds to get a cold start fix) or it was installed upside down or its faulty or somehow its been installed in a shielded spot as your uhf/vhf detector had problems as well (I would investigate it as using uhf/vhf is nice backup but should not be needed all the time)
Sort of a pain in the ass to remove the dist cap to take that off every time you park lol. You could just remove a few of the coil packs from the spark plugs these days with the same effect
The job of the recovery team is to recover the customer vehicle as quickly as possible, without endangering themselves. They cannot act as vigilantes. Besides, in this particular situation the fella recovering the car was on his own and there were two thieves. Furthermore, the police took as much evidence as they could and that is going to aid them in possibly catching those responsible. Also, thieves will hold the car there until they are certain nobody is looking for it, that could take days. As seen in this video, officers have other places to be to deal with crimes more important besides a car theft where the vehicle has already been recovered.

Tracie Oliver... and what happens when they pull a gun out ???.... just b4 car drives away 2 guys casually walk past on other side of the street
My new favourite channel! thank you for making these and letting us enjoy them.. :D Mustang is my favourite dream car, so seeing this recovered gives me great joy and pleasure (: weldone for recovering and the lock smith for helping (:..
brilliant job from the MTrack team again what a sweet motor ,drool when he started it .all the best for 2019 to the MTrack team.
Too bad it's an american car though.
yeh ,i watched the rangerover one again as i was sure it was more expensive and had a even meaner roar and i was right , it maybe dont look as nice as the Mustang but RR packs a punch .
I’ve watched this a few times now as it keeps appearing in my timeline, and it gets better every time.
Having been a few times in the US Navy, Scotland and the UK overall used to be so much more like us.. today, not so much.
it did sound beautiful, I recommend the disc lok personally which is £110 quid but it fits over your full steering wheel.
Love this channel. Wish you’d post more often, especially vehicle stuff
I saw that too..a v8 howling and in a mustang . that's ear to eyes yummy
The only way is Essex.
It’s always a pleasure watching your brilliant videos.
It must always be satisfying recovering stolen vehicles. 👍
by watching the vid , that signal was not boosted at all , as it takes around 30 seconds to set up and do it , also they had no equipment with them . i suspect they had a remote key belonging to the car . i suspect the customer bought the car second hand with either only one remote or the dealer had one remote and programmed a third remote to the car to make up two remotes . but did not disable the missing remote .
@@Mercmad But the thieves had locked the car after driving. That means that they had a real key
@Johnny Ericsson But why would you do that if you don't have a key? After that they can't open the doors again and that would be stupid
To be honest im a bit surprised its availbale here.
I half expected the police to say they are no longer responsibly for vehicle thefts .
I was certainly surprised they could deal with a steering wheel lock.
David Farmer those old steering locks were a waste of time when they used to be popular
Disclok and automatic tracker is the way to go
@@kells77 Dunno , the guy got his "motor" ripped apart as they were trying to find it.
We always said a "crook lock" was better then nothing.
WEve never had one stolen but mostly we have not had high value cars. Not to that extent anyway
Quite literally they use the trackers used for Falconry in these trackers. When they say it's "gone into alarm", they have a simple GSM enabled GPS tracker which triggers a relay to the falconry tracker. They can last 30 - 40 days on a small battery.
Most vehicles come standard with vehicle tracking (with a bunch of other features) in America. Just gotta pay for it to be enabled
I was thinking at first how your job looks exciting and glamorous as you headed off. Being stuck on your own in the dark with a nicked car though looks kinda scary and no glamour there. Great job you do, would love to see this on telly!

love these videos. i know how happy i would be in the customers shoes to have my stolen truck or bike returned. great service you do.
One of my favorite TH-cam channels. Keep them coming. We love riding along with you.

Thieves putting a steering lock on a stolen car, priceless! 🤔😁😊
That steering lock will go straight in the bin, forensics won't be interested in that!
I had a car stolen, the thieves left a cigarette lighter, screwdriver and even put fuel in my car. Did a bit of research and found only one petrol station between where my car was stolen and where it was found Spoke to the owner and he had all the CCTV evidence of my car coming in the petrol station in the early hours of the previous morning. Handed all my findings to the police, they weren't interested! Told me my car was recovered and my insurance company were to deal with it, gave me a crime number lol What a joke! 🤨🙁😮😯🤔

@@jquest43 Haha! A thief will steal the pension off their own grandmother! Sad, very sad! 😯🙁🙁🤔😁😎👍
PD Tech if the Grandparents are getting pension payed by the government, then it’s already money stolen from the public. The circle of theft is running hot.
@@domdraper3221 What kind of backward logic is that? 'If the Grandparents are getting pension paid by the government then it's already money stolen from the public' 🤔😯
They've already paid into the system ALL their lives, in Income Tax, National Insurance, VAT and a host of other taxes the government impose. That makes their pension well earned and deserved. If the current generation think the elderly are a burden on society or their pension is a drain on public funds, then they are completely delusional.
What is completely crazy is someone who has never worked and received benefits all their lives here in the UK gets the same State Pension as someone who has worked all their lives and paid into the system😯🤔🤨🙁
@@pdtech4524 Just quickly, the elderly who worked for 60+ years and didn’t put money away for retirement, even though they had much more affordable living conditions, are a burden by definition. In the Uk, the pension is funded by the younger generations. Your telling me that these people willingly decided not to save for their retirements, because they knew their kids would pick up the bill. If you think that’s well earned and well deserved, than you are delusional. They also paid into governments that they voted for. The governments they voted in also borrowed a shit ton of money that the younger generations have to struggle to pay back. The pensioners don’t deserve shit. Sorry.
Steering wheel is on the wrong side. Hello from Pennsylvania, USA!
Remember the days when almost any old key would fit a Ford Capri? Fords don't seem to have improved much.
video99.co.uk old ford escort keys used ti open jags as jags used the same key barrels supplyd by ford
Same issue for any keyless system no matter what marque
There used to be a story that the Ford Taurus had one of just thirty two(?) possible keys or something obscene like that. The idea being that the odds of someone having the twin key for your Taurus *and* ever realizing that fact were extremely poor due to the fact normal people don't go around testing their car keys in random cars.
Of course it came to light when two people with identical keys and near identical looking cars parked in the same row of a Costco or something and drove home the wrong cars.
AS you say I seem to recall this scenario in the '70s when cortinas could be driven off in minutes.
Unbelievable.
The anti theft was the fact you were driving a Capri.
We all know the difference between a hedgehog and a Capri.
The pricks are on the outside of a hedgehog .
Ironically the PIR light came on - and was so bright it blocked out the crooks face
Nice to see you get things recovered on most occasions !

the way they didn't look at the car made me think the same. The noise it makes alone turns heads
And the police noticed nothing as they walked past with gloves on and laughing lol
The guys at the end stole it!!!
If the owner had gone back through his video capture for a week, he would have no doubt got more recording of their initial visits, key code capture etc so that they had one programmed ready to go.
It is time consuming but worth it. We always instructed victims to do so and it often reaped great reward, even offenders casing prior without faces covered.
You found the car yards from my school and the car either hadn’t moved while I was at school or it did and came back as I walked past it twice

Why not install a kill switch on all keyless cars? Hidden in a different place in every car? Easy to install aswell find the wire that connects the fuel pump install a kill switch to it..
good idea but in reality not so much car manus dont really like doing too much custom work so at best theyd have lets say 10 locations to choose from so straight off theives just need to check 10 locations
then theres regional bias by some system you may discover certain regions only tend to have say 5 of the 10 locations on average so thats faster
then you got dealerships who will fuck the whole thing up by only ever ordering cars with them in the same location cause its easier for them
however... your onto the right track of thinking and if you were to do that yourself youd be onto a little bit of a winner but remember that depending on how you do the switch theives may just rip out the panels and hot wire
Man I'm loving your videos, keep up the good work nice to see the police working with you too stay safe.
car companies need to up the security with these keyless entry systems. thats terrible how easy it is to steal
Great way to ring in the New Year with another successful recovery.
At 13:12, when the car is started, the exhaust fumes look like fire 😏😅
Love watching these videos. You guys are awesome. Cheers from Canada
Most modern cars have a Immobilizer built in
It’s about time car manufacturers got up to date with keyless motors, they are a step behind the thieves, .
Well done Automatrics 10 out of 10
Police 5 out of 10
Still don't get it. Why won't you wait until someone returns to the car to arrest the thiefs?
there is no time for that and the owners are loaded with cash so they just want their car back.
My Audi s5 convert was stolen.
Police told me they leave it parked somewhere for a couple of days and see if its tracked and recovered . Then return, so they may be waiting days. Krafty kunts..
Love your videos this should be a tv show
I wouldn't follow the Police's advice with a steering lock.
Damn disklok indeed. Very wise words 👍😊
@J TheAndroidFrea Just miles better than a stop lock.
@@Combatting Completely agree and that's what I have now to make life tough for these f***ing crooks.
Our Customers hide the devices themselves! That way, only they know where they have put it and less risk of it being found!

What the heck’s a rotor arm?
SunzOffski oh okay
Sort of a pain in the ass to remove the dist cap to take that off every time you park lol. You could just remove a few of the coil packs from the spark plugs these days with the same effect
Maybe take the fuel pump relay? Easy fix, but how many thieves are gonna sit there and troubleshoot the problem.
I used to install a switch in the low tension wire on the ignition coil. Switch was hidden under the dashboard. Worked a treat on old Fords.
Amazing . Thank goodness the police did something! My car is of such low value no one would take it. Ideal car if you arebworried about theft.
I am glad for the owners of these recovered vehicles, but I want to see maggot thieves in HANDCUFFS!
Love the way you say BANDITS..
Why retrieve the car instead of staking the site out and catching the thieves as they come to move the car?
Exactly. It's Grand Theft Auto so you would think it would be worth their time to catch the slimy criminals.
Why not put trackers on the thieves instead of on the vehicles?
the stake out might cost more than the price of the car
If it were their own property, then the police might do a bit more. Otherwise, they just tell you to contact your insurance company.
Theyres not many videos like this in United States, thanks for the content!
