    Moin Paul.

    Nice sounding, like a Baroque instrument. Would like to hear some Baroque music on the actual pipe organ if it's not too far away. Or, if not, using the sampleset. From Chicago, U.S.A.

    This is my go to sample set for both home and church organs. It’s easy to get into a rut and always use the same combinations of stops so I really appreciate hearing your suggestions on registration. I’m inspired to try some of the ideas. Thank you!

    Another fantastic demo, Paul! I have enjoyed playing this sample set. The 16’ Fagott on the Hauptwerk makes a lovely solo voice when played an octave higher, with or without tremulant. It’s very much like a Clarinet, or perhaps a woody Dulzian.

    I love your expression at 19:35.... Not all organ voices lend themselves to tremulants.... my home church organ has a 8' fagott which combined with a tremulant is one of the most unmusical sounds on the planet.... its a NEVER use together combination.... :)

    Hi, I was wondering about the license, it says you can only use it non-commercially, so it means that any performance using this sounds are unable to be selled? Not even you can distribute the music you produce with it right away. That's so sad and unheard of. I'm shocked because I really liked it. So another soundset it should be?
    "(...)You may use the Sample Set on a single computer in non-commercial applications(...)
    If you wish to distribute recordings of organ music made with the Sample set, you have to ask Sonus Paradisi for a written permission. Special regulations may apply".

    • @PaulFey
      @PaulFey  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, thats true - I have the permissions from the sampleset producers & I also used to showcase the sets for them. I honestly have not heard about any troubles with publishing music on the instruments, I‘d say that its more of a „dont sell the set or parts of the set“ kind of thing which is important to the sample producers 😀

    It's really a tragedy that this organ was reimagined; all we have now is a generic neobaroque organ whose disposition doesn't really make sense. Cornets in a german organ ? More Neo than Baroque ! It would have been so much more valuable if the organ made by Compenius was reconstructed with its original disposition and voicing. Where are all the beautiful Gemshorn stops, the Querpfeiffe, the 12 rank Mixtur !

    • @jeffharbin5767
      @jeffharbin5767 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      German string stops of the 18th century were usually made of tapered pipes, and therefore part of the Gemshorn “family.”
      Cornets were also not uncommon on German or even Dutch organs of the baroque era. They certainly were copied from the French!

    • @gambe96
      @gambe96 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffharbin5767 Yes, both of those are true. But german 18th century strings are not vocal, soft 17th century Gemshorns, and Cornets, while not rare in the Netherlands, would be a total anomaly in central germany at that time.
      It's just another neobaroque organ now. WIth very lacking mixtures, tempered tuning, too many reeds, a lack of liveliness and edge...
      If you haven't yet, I recommend you look at the disposition of the original instrument by Compenius and see how different it is. That is the organ I would've loved to play and listen to.
