      1. You can clean scuff marks off a cordless handheld Dyson with Magic Erase Sponges.
      2. You can clean white iPhone charge cords with WD-40.

The way to get the crumbs out of the toaster, after you remove and clean the crumb tray, is (this is gonna get a bit technical now so you may want to takes notes)...unplug the toaster, turn it over your countertop or opened garbage pail and SHAKE THE TOASTER! 😃 That's how I do it, my mom did it and my grandmother did it. Sometimes the simplest way really is the best way.

    • @craftingwithcharm7665

I do the shake over the sink, but I learned you have to shake with the push down levers closer to your body. If you shake it the other way, you will get crumbs between the lever and the mechanism inside (magnet) and the lever will no longer stay down unless you open the cover and manually remove the crumbs.

You can also put a dryer sheet in your vacuum cleaner and as you are using it,it fleshing the air as you go and your vacuum smells nice also. You can also use your used dryer sheets to clean the lint filter on your dryer after every load it makes it so much easier and use a dryer sheet to clean the bugs off the front of your car wet the dryer sheet just a little.

Great tips! 2 More Vinegar Tips:
    1. Dishwasher; add 1 Cup during the rinse cycle on every load. It not only helps keep the dishwasher cleaner, but replaces the need for the more expensive "rinse" stuff, since it removes water spots, etc..
    2. Vinegar instead of fabric softener in your laundry. It makes clothes soft, the smell is gone as soon as the clothes dry. It is easier on your clothes to keep the colors brighter, doesn't leave a residue on the fabric that actually wears the clothes down faster, AND helps keep your washing machine cleaner.
***Dryer Lint Screen: at least 1 a month you should wash it with soap & water. Fabric softener; liquid in the washer or dryer sheets, both cause a film to build up on the screen and make it harder for the air to move through it, making it .harder on your dryer and Also, a fire hazard! Test it: after you clean the lint off the screen, take it to a sink and run water onto it, if the water doesn't easily flow through the screen it needs to be washed. :)

With the trash can bags I don't put them in the bottom, I drape them over the side before putting the new bag in place. Also, if you put a chux/puppy pad in the bottom of the trashcan it'll be easier clean up in the event the bag tears and leaks into the trash can. Add a bit of baking soda, carpet powder, etc on the chux to help keep foul odors in check

I learned from a video of a better way to wash your car that you keep (2) buckets. One with your cleaning solution and the other with clean water. Each time you clean with the rag, rinse it in the clean water, then put it back in the cleaning solution to get more of that to clean the surface. This way your now dirty rag won't mess up your cleaning solution. It totally makes sense, I think.

With the garbage bags don't put them on the bottom where they might get yucky and wasted, put them in place just like your bag but put 3 or 4 bags in place instead of at the bottom. If anything leaks it goes into the next bag. Then you don't have a crumpled, messy bag at the bottom. 🙂

@@amyvicente8241 That's great, Amy! I repair vacuum cleaners, and try to help people out by telling them they can save a repair bill by properly maintaining their machines. In my home, I vacuum almost daily. I clean the roller brushes often and use Windex to wipe them down, afterwards. I change the bags, or shake out the bag on my vintage model, when I notice the airflow dropping, or if there is a musty odor.

Just a small tip, anything that you keep plugged into an outlet will still use electricity even when not in use. I always keep my toaster and other appliances unplugged. Also, replace your furnace air filter every season. Just like a toothbrush!
And did you know you need to replace the vent filter that goes to your air vents in your car? This is a different filter than the filter you change when you get your oil changed. Also, I rotate my tires every other oil change.
I also keep a dryer sheet in the bottom of my trash can to absorb smells!
One more thing to clean seasonally is the refrigerator vent.
    Fantastic video, Ashley!

Instead of throwing away old gift or credit cards I always keep a few in my kitchen and use them every time I'm doing dishes. They work wonderful to scrape out food from my nonstick pots without scratching them. It's the same as only using plastic utensils I suppose but they are great for scraping stuff that has dried on the plates, counters and even dried food on the floor. Be sure to throw away when they get too worn out because they will get sharp after awhile and may scratch your pans. Also I like the way they bend easily for the curves in my pots and pans. I also keep a few small regular cheep paint brushes for dusting in tight spots and I keep a soft one to sweep of the hair from my hair clippers and my husband's neck. I use the ones with the black foam to clean the tracks in my windows and in-between and behind my kitchen and bathroom faucets. They are so great to use the small foam ones to clean the very hard to reach rim around all brands of the Instapot pressure cookers. Its so hard to clean that lip around the top where food always gets down where you cant easily get to it. Works perfectly and i buy both kinds of the paint brushes iv mentioned from Dollar tree. I also use the gift cards to scrape stuck on foods in the bottom of my Instapot even the nonstick type and they will not scratch it but the food will just come out so easily even when its burnt on the bottom. I absolutley love using the gift cards. Last thing I always have regular razor blades. I buy them by the hundreds because they are handy. I do not buy stinky oven cleaner. I just use my razor blade and all the burnt off crap on the bottom or sides or even the glass in the oven comes off so freaking easily and no it never scrapes up the metal because the inside of the ovens are quite durable material. I also carefully use the blades for the top of my glass stove and even my counters sometimes when there is burnt on stuff on my glass top stove or like dried food or sugary stuff on my counters. Makes it so easy to clean up. Be cautious of what your counters are made of so they don't scratch but you can always use the gift cards to scrape the counters instead. They are the handiest things!😘👍

@@ebasic790 It's more that it clogs everything up. Fabric softener tends to bind to paper products (among other, ahem...things) and gunks up pretty badly causing difficult to dissolve clogs. The bigger issue, in my opinion, would be that it could harm the good bacteria that live in septic tanks but that could be remedied by using Rid-X on a regular basis. :)

Rinse in hot water do it again bang. Brush bristles down on hard surface. Rinse bang again. All the hair and gunk should be gone rinse and let dry.

If you have glass shower doors with hard water stains and soap scum use wd40. Spray, let it sit for a couple minutes and wipe. Many years ago I moved into a house and found this hack...turns out my "frosted" shower doors had YEARS of hard water and scale on them. The difference was mind boggling and it was EASY. Of course afterwards I used a glass cleaner, mainly because I hate the smell of WD40.

I rarely use a toaster. It sits on a small tray inside a lower cabinet, keeping crumbs out of the cabinet. Open the hinged crumb tray over the sink, gently move a bottle or straw cleaning brush to loosen crumbs, then wipe the door clean. I do it as needed. About once every 6 months. The hair dryer is a new idea to me. I may try that as well.

I enjoyed this! I will use some tips for sure. I have just started using rubbing alcohol for my glass and mirrors for a streak free shine. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than glass cleaner. It's really great for cleaning the windows too. I used to use distilled vinegar, which cleans the tv screen really well, but I didn't like the smell it left behind. For the labels, if you stick it in the freezer for a few minutes it'll come right off. And I put a few drops of essential oil on my vacuum filter and it scents off throughout the house. I really like lavender because it calms my pets while I'm cleaning.

I) after you empty the tray, which I did know existed, empty and clean it. then put it back into the toaster so you are not cleaning off counter tops, and you can see what has come out of the toaster. 2) attach the adapter on the hair dryer to concentrate air flow, and run it longer on the cool setting then the hot. Finally try the dryer vent vacuum attachment to get out remaining crumbs. Then use the hair dryer method as a weekly maintenance. Keep up the Good Work! Cleanliness is next to Godliness.❤

You’re suppose to put it in the second way because the bags on the roll always come inside out. If you look at the bag after putting it in the can the second way, you should see the seams. The seams should be on the inside, not outside. And, by putting the bag in the 2nd way, that’s when you will benefit from the scent of you purchased scented bags.

Take your toaster (not to hard), bang it a few times against the counter. Wipe up crumbs as you go, and then do it a few more times, each time wiping up crumps. In Bathroom - Turn on your fan when you go in and leave it on until you open the door and leave.

I've never cleaned my toaster tray, but I am going to start! It's something you just don't think of doing! I have taken a baby bottle cleaning brush to inside.

With the toaster, just turn it upside down, in your sink or over a trashcan. For the candle, put it in a pan of water, and let it melt, that way. I love your videos, so much! Thank you!
