I made this video to shed light and hope to all my fellow furparents out there who's dog is suffering from Ehlrichia Infection. I know how painful and hard it is for every dog and furparent to go through this treatment process. If you are reading this, yes you, stay positive! I know it's hard but keep on fighting. Aww, so sorry to hear that! I belive yes kasama na yung issues sa kidneys, liver and pancreas coz it's possible because of the potent medicines na bigay lagi sa kanila :( til now Yung kidneys ni Atlas hindi padin normal but he's overall healthy naman na..Will pray for your doggo 🙏

My 3mos old puppy was diagnosed with erlichia din. We’re on the 4th day na of her treatment. Platelet ang hemoglobin nya is below normal na. But thankfully na until now the appetite nya sa food and masigla pa din. No signs and symptoms po kasi sa kanya. Na noticed ko nalang na pale yung gums nya then dinala ko sya agad sa vet. I hope she recovers din po like Atlas.

Oh no! So sorry for your loss :( yes Atlas has always been a fighter talaga! I am amazed din talaga with how strong his will power to live! He recently got admitted din to liver failure. I almost lost him, but he's home recovering and back to his normal routine! :)
Thank you for the video, it is very informative, bumabalik pala ang erlichiosis, oh no. My puppy was diagnosed with erlichia for a month now and she is still on medication. Were you using nexgard before sya nagka erlichia? I am using monthly frontline plus and heargard plus for my dog but im wondering maybe hindi pala effective.
Well ako I've been using nexgard and seresto once in a while. But nagkakaron padin talaga. Once your dogs gets it. Bumabalik kasi talaga un.
Hello po, kakadiagnose lang din po sa dog ko ng ehrlichiosis. Sabi po ng kaniyang Doctor dapat po on time at ealang late po ang pagbibigay ng nexgard (in our case po bravecto). Nabigyan po ng bravecto yung dog ko kaso po sabi ni Doc before daw po nabigay yung bravecto ay nakagat na daw po si doggie ng garapata na infected ng ehrlichia at yung parasite po ay nasa dugo na niya. Kaya po kahit nabigyan po siya ng bravecto ay hindi po mattaanggal yung parasite dahil po nasa dugo na po niya.

my dog has ehrlichia and I am looking for experience reports, how we can help our babies to live with this horrible parasite. the doctors telling me, he will never get rid of it and most likely to have fall backs and needs to be treated with high dosages of Doxycycline again 😪Did someone of you manage to free the dogs of this outbreaks or get totally rid of the parasite?

This video gave me hope. My malshi was diagnosed Anaplasmosis and Babeosis,we are currently on our second cycle ng treatment. Bumama kasi ulit and RBC at Platelet niya. Just wanna ask, when Atlas was in medication ba would he always have short breathes while resting?

Medyo nagwoworry ako since some commented tinamaan yung liver & kidneys ng dogs nila. My dog recently got the disease. Based on his CBC, 51 ang count ng platelet nya sobrang baba from the normal range 200+.
Medications are:
Doxycycline, Liv 52, Nefrotec, Prednisone & Sangobion. Currently he's on his 5th day of medication. So far, umokay na yung eyes nya. Wala naman pagbbleed na nangyari before and to date. Hoping na sana gumaling yung dog ko. Thanks for your video. 🙏🏻

Our dog has the same condition as your dog. Pareho po sila nag positive ng blood parasite. After watching this video we have decided to go to vet and injectionan sya ng imidocarb which also nakalagay sa reseta nya. There’s no waver or anything na pinapirmahan hindi rin nasabi ng vet nya kung may namamatay ba sa ganong type ny injection. Ang sabi lang is maglalaway at mag tatae. Right after ma inject yung husky namen 2 days after namatay po sya and it’s just recently this june 3 in the morning. mag 10months na po sya this june 6. Sobrang sad lang po talaga nalungkot po kami ng sobra until now. 😭😭😭
Oh no :( I'm sorry for your loss. 🙏 Matapang talaga yung medicine na un. Kailangan talaga ineexplain talaga siya ng mabuti. Si Atlas before kinuhanan pa ng additonal tests Para makita Kung healthy talaga yung liver and kidney niya. Then chaka ako pinapirma ng waiver. :(
My dog just diagnosed with Erlichia today. Wala namang blood sa urine niya, although napansin namin na minsan nawawalan siya ng gana kumain, nagtatae for no reason, at nangayayat. The vet also gave my doggo too many meds, bukod sa magastos, you really have to watch out not to miss those meds.

My saddest day this year..nagpaalam na kaninang 3am si baby chico ko, isa po syang chowchow,hindi n nya nakayanan yong ehrlichia.. two days syang nakahiga lng with dextrose, nagtitwitching narin muscles nya at ang masakit ay yong time na naririnig ko ang pag iyak nya..
hindi narin tinatanggap yong food ng tyan nya,sinusuka nya.

Ang cute ni doggy nakalabas ang dila. Ako po 2nd time ng dog ko ngayon magpositive sa blood parasite. So sad yung 3 parasites ang meron sya pati yung pinakamataas na parasites kaya nagiinject sya ngaun. I'm praying everyday na gumaling na sya at lagi ko rin sya kinakausap na magpagaling sya. Magkaiba sign na pinakita ng dog ko una blood sa nose ngayon coughing. Hoping na gumaling na sya.
I hope your furbaby gets through this. Atlas had the same symptom nung unang ehrlichia niya. Nose bleed din po ; buti naagapan ko

Hello, Atlas usually gets better after 14 to 21 days of meds. But then it's really recurring kasi once your dog has it. :( he never had seizures though, usually he bleeds through his nose or pee

Difficulty in breathing po ano pong pinakamagandang gawin? :(
Same po dog ko 2 beses nagka ehrlichia, nasa blood lang daw po nila yun mahirap daw po talaga gamutin. Last time na nag doxy sya masyado mataas po dosage di kinaya ng kidney nya, sa ibang vet po ako nagpatingib that time on vacation kasi vet nya, nag liver and kidney failure sya. Then nung umokay sya, sabi ng vet nya bibigyan na lang daw sya ng IMIDOCARB. Kahapon kakatapos lang ng 2nd shot nya. Babalik kami after 2 weeks for blood test para makira kung okay na. Buti nakita ko po tong vid nyo, lalo nabuhayan ng pag asa na gagaling ang baby ko 💕💕💕
Nagtataka lang ako kasi may vaccine naman pala for blood parasitism pero bakit hindi nila agad yun inooffer sa mga pet owners, kawawa kasi ang aso kapag naluto sa antibiotics.
Hi Aubrey, the imidocarb isn't a vaccine if I'm not mistaken. It's just an alternative to doxy. :) I'm glad your dog is okay! Praying for his speedy recovery.

What were the symptoms? My vet forgot to send out the blood work so we’re going on 2 weeks .. but he got a cut that wouldn’t stop bleeding , and his back legs swelled ..

Hi Jessa. Naku matagal almost 2 months more or less kasi 3x na sya nagkaron ng Ehlrichia. Better to consult with your vet or a medical professional pag dating sa medications like supplements and if you have doubts with what your dog is currently taking. Kasi iba iba ang combination ng nirereseta sa mga dogs na nagkaka ehlrichia :)

My furbaby also has this right now. He was just diagnosed yesterday and the vet recommended we have to confine him. CVC test showed super low count of platelet, vet also test him for comprehensive diagnosis.. results showed that his kidney and pancreas are already damaged. Sobrang sakit sa puso at bulsa Ng sakit na to.. hoping for my furbaby to survive din 🥺

Hello, home cooked meals lang po talaga diet ni atlas before even if he was sick. Nag recovery din siya for a while pero binalik ko rin sa home cooked meal plus supplements

What can you advice po sa amin Kasi blood transfusion po ang sabi sa amin. 2nd time nya na po ngayon. Unang beses nag Medicine po kami around August. Then ngayon Nov nagkaron ulit sya pati liver failure, kaya candidate po sya for blood transfusion.
So sorry to hear that :( Though I am not a medical professional. Best to talk to your vet and follow their advice regarding your dogs treatment plan. Not all liver diseases are the same kasi

Buti nadala ko agad sa vet nung napansin kong nanghihina. Nanginginig sya at hina ng mga legs. 🥲
Ang iniinom ay Doxy, Liver supplement, steroid at NeuroVet.
Gaano po kaya katagal makita yung progress? Sobrang naaawa ako. Pero playful naman sya at responsive. Di lang talaga makatayo ng stable.

So sorry just read your message. How is your dog now? I hope he's okay 🙏 with my dog noon, usually after 14 to 21 days of meds fully recovered na siya. First few days palang taking the meds, may improvement naman na agad with him..not sure lang if it's the same with all dogs kasi Yung ehrlichia iba iba effect with dogs. Si Atlas kasi noon kahit nagbbleed na siya medyo matamlay lang siya noon kahit sobrang baba ng platelet niya, fighter rin siguro kasi talaga. I hope your puppy is doing well now!

Hello po atee , my baby was just diagnosed with erhlechia yesterday and was also bleeding a lot from his nose which is up to now po but his vet already gave him tranexamic acid shot and we were given prescription for it as well but palagi padin po siya nag blebleed through nose so may I ask po if gano katagal before nawala yung bleeding ng dog nyo? And may I ask if what food did u gave po para man lang ma increase yung platelets niya? Huhuhu I am very worried napo
Kamusta dog mo? Un diet niya nung time na yan is still the usual naman. Yung boiled chicken veggies nila. Si Atlas kasi noon pag dala ko sa e.r nagadminister na ako ng first agad prior bringing him sa e.r Kaya medyo humina na agad Yung bleeding. After nag bigay ng meds sa e.r, as i remember tumigil din naman Yung bleeding eventually there, but di ko siya inuwi. Kasi Naka admit for monitoring kasi siya required. Pero after a few days nakauwi na din siya agad :) hope your furbaby is okay!

Shampoo bar lang po ng St. Roche gamit ni Atlas na regular. Naka monthly tick and flea prevention na po kasi siya.

Treatment plan for a dog with ehrlichia varies depending on the case and severity. :) depende rin sa vet na titingin how long bibigyan ng meds Yung dog, Kung uulit ba ng 2nd round or magsstop na.

Yes po dogs liver was affected also if they got Ehrlichia sad its too late for us to find out what our dogs virus now hes dead😥
Yes, highly likely because of the strong medications. And length of treatment. In Atlas' case both liver and kidney yung affected. He was diagnosed with liver failure last year. Fortunately, he survived. I will be releasing a vlog soon for some at home tips in assisting dogs with liver disease. :) til now Naka supplements padin siya for liver and kidney maintenance na niya talaga.
Yea po, ang erlichia kasi ay nakakaapekto po sa dugo so lahat po ng organs especially the liver and kidneys are affected kasi may role sila for blood production. Lahat din po kasi ng gamot ay dumadaan sa liver kaya pag toxic ang gamot, liver po ang nagssuffer.

Ask ko lang maam, on your previous video po kasi you have mentioned that seresto is an effective anti tick collar. How come po mag ka ehrlichia pa rin po si atlas?
Hi, Lin. They don't wear the collar all the time I remove it for a time so I can give them a bath and while they are completely dry before I put it back on. I also use nexgard now. I do rotational use for both nexgard and seresto.

My dog just got diagnosed ng sakit na to naka 1 month na po sya ng gamutan okay na din po sya, mataas lang po yung sa crea nya sabi ng vet tuloy pa din po yung gamot natatakot po kasi kami baka maapektuhan yung kidney nya kasi ang lalakas po nung mga ininom na nya na meds eh, kaya nagtataks lang po ako ng tuloy pa din yunh gamutan kahit okay naman na po yung aso namin ganun po ba talaga? lalagpas ng 1 month?
Naku, I think you should relay your thoughts to the vet kasi pag ako hindi ako mapalagay dun sa treatment plan for my dog nagtatanong talaga ako. Though during my dog's treatment plan, pag nagnormalize na kasi Yung values, pinapahinto na talaga yung meds. Maybe you should talk to your vet asap :)

Im just wondering, do you really think that our dogs have been bitten by an infected tick/flea? I did have read articles that this infection will stay in their bodies for 4 years and so i was thinking maybe its re occuring without even tick/flea bites---??
Possible daw na it's just living dormant in the spleen area of our dogs. :(

Kung nanghihina po dog niyo Mas maganda dalhin niyo na po sa vet. Baka po kailangan iadmit.

It's risky. You'll have to ask your vet about the risks you and your dog's gonna take. You'll have to get tests pa for liver and kidney if healthy rin. And, the treatment plan for Atlas can be different kasi compared to your dog's treatment plan. So best to ask your vet about it so they can explain further :)
My dog is diagnosed with Ehrilichiosis and Distemper a few days ago. Same meds din po, Doxy, Liv.52, Black Armour, Papi Iron. 3rd day po niya nag start na siya mag vomit and magtae. Nangyari din ba sa dog nyo yun?

Ah i see, nakaka worry po kasi yung pagtatae and pagsusuka ng dog ko. I read side effect daw ng doxy, but im thinking na ibalik bukas sa vet clinic. 3rd day nya pa lang today sa medication nya.
@@ladybangtan I think you should bring your dog back to vet talaga, I hope everything goes well.. a few months ago si atlas nagtae din and nagsuka because side effect to this antibiotic called Baytril. He had uti kasi. Apparently it's too strong for him. So pinalitan ng Augementin. Tapos aion he got better.
This is comforting to know. Possible pala ang ganun na masyadong strong yung antibiotic for the dog, and pwede rin pala mapalitan if ever. Thank you! God bless you
hello! pa help naman po. nag drop po platelets ng dog dahil sa parasite sa blood. may mga gamot na po siyang iniinom and recovery food. kaso sinusuka nya po kaya nawawalan ng laman tyan nya. buntis pa po sya ano po kayang pede kong gawin at ipakain pa. sinisyringe ko lang po kasi ayaw nya kumain
I would do the same and syringe my pet if same ang case, on the other hand but if your dog refuses to eat and vomits its best to have your dog admitted Para Naka swero. Best to talk to your vet about your dogs condition na asap

Hello! Yung chicken liver pwede po pang toppings, hindi po siya ginagawang main source of meal..additonal lang po un :) pwede mo siguro sya bigyan chicken padin sa Gabi plus toppings na liver pero hindi pwede puro liver lang

My dog got babesia pero sabe ng vet mild lng daw as in hnd namen makita ung guhit sa test kit nia Kung positive ba but the vet said it's a good thing daw kse ibg sabhin hnd ganun Ka infected ung aso ko. then I saw sa reseta ng vet na babalik kme sknya after a week at Kung mahina pdn dog ko the vet will give the Imidocarb shot which is I learned na may pagka delikado ata toh?. My question is ok lng po ba Yun na after a week of medication lng Ipapa shot kgd ng Imidocarb ung aso ko with mild babesia ?? And shes only a small dog miniature pinscher sya.. pls Sana po may sumagot dto Ty in advance!
Hello! Delikado po talaga. And my waiver un kasi it can possibly create complications for your dog's kidneys and liver in the future. I think for my case during that time, it was effective. But, my dog has also suffered from liver failure just last yr, he survived naman. I have a vlog for that. Now, we are monitoring his kidneys. Naka renal diet na din si Atlas now. So please be careful. At the end of the day it's s still your decision. You can also get a 2nd opinion from a different vet. Pagisipan niyo po muna kasi delikado po yun because it's very potent.
Namatay aso ko dahil dito, tapos may 2 other dogs tested positive. Buti wala pang symptoms na nagpapakita sa kanila nung dinala ko cla para itest.

HI JUST WANNA ASK IF BY TAKING NEXGARD OR BRAVECTO DOESNT HELP IN PREVENTING TICKBITE THAT CAN CAUSE EHRLICHIOSIS?
It can help but technically it won't prevent ticks from biting your dogs. These medicines require the ticks to latch and bite the dog first before the medicines takes effect. Kasi ung chemicals from the medicine is nasa blood stream ng dogs na sisipsipin nung tick. Nexgard and Bravecto are not tick repellants. My dogs take Nexgard. :)

So far umookay naman po siya kaso natatakot din po ako na baka magrecur sakaniya kahit nakanexgard or bravecto siya. Ano po kayang mas okay na preventative para hindi na magkaehrlichia ulit?
My dog had Ehrlichia twice already. And I’m afraid she got it again because I recently found a tick on her😢

@@MarnelleO She got confined for 3 days. Na discharged na po siya and yung platelet count niya normal na rin po. 😊 Marami lang syang tinatake na meds. 😭

Bumalik nanaman po yung anaplasmosis ng dog ko. Gumaling na sya last april 3 then nagka diarrhea siya so ayun umatake nanaman yung parasites sa blood niya. 😭 Nag 15 platelet nya pero naagapan naman. Nandito na siya sa house. Ang worry ko ngayon yunh sa liver at kidney nya. Hindi kasi siya mahilig uminom ng water kaya syringe ko ibigay sa kanya yung water. Tapos kaninang 12 pm di ko alam naka dapa lang naman sya tapos bigla dapat syang tatayo, and then bigla siyang nanginig. Nanigas yung sa kamay at paa niya for 5 to 10 seconds. Di ko alam kung stroke or seizure ba yun. Pero after nun naging okay naman siya agad. Ang meds na tinatake niya ngayon liverolin, doxy at iron lang. Nag nexgard rin siya nung friday. Nag search ako ma toxic pala sa mga aso yung anti-tick. 😭 baka dahil dun yun.

I usually give my pets green leafy veggies high in iron like spinach, kale or broccoli. Green beans like sitaw are high in iron too. I also give them carrots, and cabbage :)

Hello po, di ko alam if may erlichia na po ung dog ko kasi mahal kasi ung mga test :( pero napa CBC ko na po siya turns out mababa yung platelets niya nakain naman po siya and nainom masigla lang po siya if magwawalk na kami sa labas pero pag nasa loob siya ng bahay maghapon lng siyang tulog :( im looking for some home remedy para mapataas yung platelets niya and also gamot na mkakatulong :( if may marecommend man po kayo salamat po

But I don't do home remedies when it comes to my pet's platelet count Kasi that's dangerous :( Baka it's best if you ask a vet for the proper medication to give for you dog. I am not a medical professional kasi. Kahit hindi mo siya napatest for ehrlichia when you were there sa vet to have the cbc hindi ka ba nagtanong sa vet about it? A consult is around 200 to 400 depends on the clinic. May kasamang reseta na un..
Hi , update lang nag pavet na kami and binigyan kami ng doktor ng gamot nakabili naman ako kaso ang mahal lng din nung gamot for erlichia 1k plus daw . Inask ko naman si doc if pde ko siya pakainin ng liver araw araw para bumalik ung platelets niya and pde daw yun as of now masigla na ulit ung dog ko khit continuous pdin ung pagpapainom ko sknya ng gamot makulit na ulit siya

Hello! Not during the time when he had ehrlichia. Last year yun around June when he had liver failure, nanilaw talaga skin and eyes niya. Yung wiwi niya close dark yellow, close to orange..but he recovered. You should have your dog's liver check din asap
