Can i combine pau d arco and berberine together? If so how much should i give a 30lb. Frenchie? How will the diet change? My frenchie eats a prescription food due to his diagnosis of crystalline from awhile back. The vet prescribed him that food.
Hi there yes you can combine those 2 together. If there are kidney issues go cautiously with the herbs. As tinctures I would only use around 10 drops 1-2 x daily in food of the combined herbs. For yeast it's important to avoid sugars and grains aa these feed the yeast. Fresh proteins along with vegetables and good fats like omega 3 fish are also important Warm regards Lyndall CV 🐕
@angelopaolo yes you must not give high doses and it depends on the dog and what you are treating. Try 30-50 mg per kilogram of bodyweight per day and give 6-8 weeks then stop and see how your dog is.
What do you tincture your herbs with? I have many with alcohol, not sure if that is ok with a dog.
