That's what's up, Kaito!!! I hope I spelled your name right, Brother. Lol. Keep on grinding that TH-cam game, Bro! ONE VIDEO EVERY TWO WEEKS FOR THE WIN!!! And good luck with COLLEGE -- keep that GPA up, my man!
I went to a pier here in New Jersey and caught 2 flounder and lost 3. I’m new to saltwater fishing so I wasn’t prepared but I still landed 2. It was crazy because there were a ton of shad, I mean hundreds of thousands. Caught some bluefish feeding on them too. So many shad I would snag a couple and use them as bait which was the best tactic. Good luck Leo, your my inspiration to go fish new places and look for new species
That's what's up, Catfsihnig! Congratulations on your success, man! I am very happy to hear that you had a successful fishing sesh. Heh. And thank you -- I appreciate it.
that was the dock i grew up on , thank you it looked good much change but good . i am very glad i sent you the book i did i had hopes of you fishing in this place there are many small docks and beaches but you picked a nice place to start . I wish you luck may you have great days listing the wonders of the Puget Sound I hope you go out on a low tide and micro the tide pools and under dock places . you made me very happy i wish you blessed long life and longer lists !
Which book did you send over, vfirehorse? And man...absolutely! That pier is a BEAUTIFUL PLACE. Stay tuned! The next few videos will be all about exploring and figuring things out in that pier. Heh. Glad that you enjoyed this video, Brother!
Used to live near lake Sammamish. Such good fishing there. So much to catch. Smallmouth, largemouth, cutthroat, perch, sunfish, bluegills, pumpkin seed etc. You would love it.
you should try to catch the rare nooksack dace! It has not yet been formally described taxonomically. its range is from just above the border down two puyallup!
I was there 2 years ago, it was cold, but it’s my environment , compare to just walking around the market …. Of don’t forget to check out the pike’s place market .
Ya the Edmonds area is pretty good, but the piers in Seattle are kinda sketchy at night, also did you fill up ur live well from the faucet on the pier?
you HAVE TO fish a place called port renfrou. its a place on vancouver island. its AMAZING. one day you have to be there. good luck. also if you go there you have to get a charter from mckenzie fishing charters. i love their charters. i caught a 35 pound chinook there a couple years ago there with him.
Damn son, I can't believe I missed the opportunity to meet the legendary Leo Sheng. I watch all your videos and hoped one day I'd get to run into you but I never thought I would have the chance. I grew up in Edmonds and still live in the Seattle area, I would have made a special trip down to the pier just to say "What's up TH-cam! Leo Sheng's here, host of the Extreme Philly Fishing Channel" I have been to that pier many times. It's crazy to see a EPF video with Edmonds in the background! Tight lines and take it easy!
Switched to barbless fishing for Smalley's last Saturday. They kept getting hooked deep in the mouth and it made things a lot easier. Baiying them with live bate must be tough though.
Your amazing bro. You the reason why I started fishing for freshwater man I can’t get anything yet but I’ll soon 😂 I fish for Salt water and it’s way different
I appreciate the kind words, Jhonny! 😎 I am glad that you have been positively influenced by the Channel, man. Keep on grinding out there! You will figure out the freshwater soon enough.
Welcome back to the PNW. I would suggest a high low rig and cast out from the pier. Would be nice if you could catch an Irish Lord sculpin. Awesome fish.
Born and raised Washingtonian Angler here! Hope you’re enjoying your time here Leo. Never realized how complicated our rules are until you explained it 😅
Hey Leo I'm a big fan, and live here in the Seattle area. Yes welcome to some F-d up fishing regulations. Hope you have some good fishing. You should try some night fishing for squid
Thanks for all the love and support, Darrell! I appreciate it. The Squidding crew at Edmonds Pier were just starting to catch a bunch of them last week! I heard that they taste like BUTTER, man.
You know...that's funny, Area11lureworxs. Someone at the Pier told me that you can't beat the Westport Jetty. Three hours drive from Edmonds, but I thought -- one day, I will definitely have to hit it. Hah.
Do you think you'll do a european fishing trip now that you are an american citizen? Almost every species here would be new i think, excluding brown and black bullhead, common carp, goldfish and northern pike.
No surprise it took half the video to explain the regs. Washington has the most complex fishing regulations on the west coast. There's even regulationss specific to that particular pier.
First Spokane, now Edmonds? You must have family up in Washington I’m guessing? You need to go out on the coast and catch a surf perch if you haven’t gotten that on your list yet.
Wow , with all the rules they have there it's a wonder anyone fishes there . I do understand the NEED for Rules ........ tho those see extreme too me . Oh well , I hope you do better later on . Tom Daytona Beach. FL. 13, September 2021 .
I moved to Washington from Oregon so I know Washington is a nightmare of complicated regulations about everything (thanks Seattle influence). Next trip to West Coast try Oregon, much better fishing for most things than Washington, much lower population thus lower pressure.
Ayyy I met you at the pier! Nice video!

Glad you were here on the puget sound
Near my neck of the woods! I live real close to the north shore of lake Washington.
It’s good to know the Kage is strong enough for Edmonds pier
Surprisingly, the Kage even withstood some Rockfish, Christopher. Lol. I was certainly very surprised...
@@extremephillyfishing awesome investment, on the kage rod!
I was there many years ago staying with friends but we couldn't go fishing.
Steady steady
Awesome goby catch. That’s great that you get to add to the list
Thank you, Scott! 😊 I was certainly delighted with the amount of Lifers that showed up that day.
did it really die? cant be that deep there 100 feet max?

Leo, think about going barbless for all catch and release fisheries! For us up in Canada, it's common practice.
What is baroness?
Sorry about that you probably meant barbless. I gut hook sometimes so I just go barbless as a habit
Corrected thanks
Wondering where these are. Species 317? and Species 318?. Will some of the inner circle species at least be shown in photos?
Woner no more, Yoshistar 888. They are at 17:56 in the EPF Swim video (two videos ago).
