I own an A7iii and now also a Blackmagic 4k. Surely the blackmagic gives me that more cinematic rendering. On the other hand, Sony often lures me in for being more versatile. I'm a bit conflicted 😅
Nice rig and video! I have mine set up similar with the battery grip and cage. Love this setup because it can be easily converted to vertical shooting perfect for socials!

When you and all other youtubers say - 8 bit falls apart compared to 10 bit - my query is by how much does it fall apart? Like can you make a video of grading showing the strengths and limitations of a73 8 bit footage. How much is the max we can push and pull. Thanks.
Thank you! And I might do a comparison when I have some 10 bit footage to compare it with. But what I’ve noticed is that if you are significantly trying to change colors it get blocky and not visually appealing. If you expose correctly you will have enough room to push and pull the colors. Maybe once I get my color grading more dialed in I might do a video on that. Thanks for the question👍🏽

I love the colours at 7:16 is it the grading that made it look like that? And why do you shoot HLG3 and not S-log2?
Yeah that shot is HLG3! And yeah I graded that myself! I use slog 2 now about 90% of the time!
