I think "Eeveemons" are a great way to make an starter for a monster catching game.
You start with the same creature as anyone else, yet you are the one who decides in what it becomes to suit your playthrought.
A shame in Let's Go they didn't allow you to evolve your starter Eevee. Spin-offs games did it, so why not in main games too?

@@SnoFitzroy Yeah, but their complaint was not 'the starter mon is weak' it was 'the starter mon is not expressive'. The whole point of Eevee is it's potential. Or maybe not it's whole point, but a big part. Would have been nice to be able to evo. Maybe give the evos a smaller buff so that both evoing and not are real choices, but either way. The eeveelutions are cool, and it's strange that they weren't a part of the game with eevee in the name.

As much as I like how you came back to your regional wooper design and changed it into a Stema-mon as a take on the branching Eevee evolutions I really liked "Labsire" or whatever it would be called if it were a Stema-mon and I wish it wasn't left out. It would be neat to see Stemotl also be able evolve into "Labsire" unlike Eevee who doesn't have a Normal type evolution. I also just like "Labsire" the most out of the other ones. Even if "Labsire" were more of a basic topic than the other ones I would love to see it be a thing.

    • @GurrenPrime

I think you should keep the original evolution, where it's just more stem cells.
I have always wanted an Eevee that is just Normal Type. More fluff and a big bigger.
And I believe this could work very well for you, especially cuz the design is so cute!

    • @peperoni_pepino
      @peperoni_pepino 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

I would also like a Normal Type, though I disagree with 'more fluff'. Instead, I would like a Eeveon that has a little bit of every element. The equivalent here would be a central stem cell with every kind of cell attached; e.g. a bone pair of legs, muscle pair of legs, fatty ears, etc.

Great concept and designs! Having an evolution of just more stem cells isn’t a bad idea, since adult stem cells still exist in many parts of the body.
Also, here’s an idea for a rotom clone as well: a generator hermit crab that attaches to different types of power sources.

endolotl/ lotlcrine - (endocrine) glands - flying (effects of hormones?)
Blastolotl/ morulotl - fertilized stem cells/ more stem cells (could be the inbetween stage of when egg cell fertilized and before it gets planted into endometrium) - normal morula
erythrolotl - blood cells (red, flat, disc shape, probably lethargic design) - erythrocytes fire (maybe, or maybethat'd be better for digestive cells like serosa/ serolotl)

Choosing an axolotl for your split evolution, stem cell family is doubly clever.
Not only cuz axolotls have crazy stem cells, but also because Ambystoma salamanders are among the only irl “split-evolution” animals.
Axolotls themselves are always neotenous and remain fully aquatic from birth to death, but many of their close relatives are able to mature normally and become semi-terrestrial OR become neotenous and remain aquatic for their whole life (retaining their gills and looking like axolotls). Which path the individual takes will depend on the environmental conditions and available resources, kinda like the eeveelutions which occur based on the conditions the eevee is exposed to.
This whole evolution line is so clever and I wish I’d thought of it first, wonderful interpretation of the eeveelution idea and one of the most creative I’ve seen in any monster tamer

It looks like a ghostly bat, like a phantom from minecraft. Which has nothing to do with skin...
Id love to see what you can do to show off it more like the twists you did for the muscle one and the spikes for the bone one, bc you can tell really well what the others are supposed to represent
Maybe if the ghost shed a lot more so it looks like its constantly falling off or maybe some other aspect of skin, maybe some hair spikes going through it like how the diagrams always look
This series is incredible! Keep up the good work

Small correction: Osteoblast and Osteozyt are the same cell. The Osteoblast sekretes Osteoid. When it is fully encased by Osteoid, it becomes and Osteozyt.
I really like the conzept of this. There are 4 (5) Types a Stemcell can defirentiate into. Epithelium, connective tissue (& Supporting Tissue), Neurons and Mucselcells, depending on where they originate in the embryologie.
Epithelium comes from the Ectodermis and the Endodermis and differentiates into sensory Epithelium, gland Epithelium, colored Epithelium (not the one in the Skinn, that a different kind and is more related to Neurons than to Epithelium, more like Eye Color and Haircolor) and Surface Epithel
Connective Tissue comes from the Mesoderm and differentiates into "connective tissue" (Fibrozyt, Fibroblast), Fat and Bloodcells
Supporting Tissue comes from the Medoderm and differentiates into Bone Tissue (mainly Osteons, but also Osteoclasts) and Cartilage (mainly Chondrons, but also Chondroclasts). Osteoclasts and Chondroclasts are Macrophages for a specific type of Tissue. They even have the same ancestor they come from as the ones in the blood.
Neurons come from the Ektodermis (Neuroektodermis) and differentiate into Neurons (most important are pseudounipolar (sensory) and multipolar (nearly everything else)) and Glia (like the Schwann cell you mentioned)
Muscle tissue comes from the Mesodermis and differentiates into striated muscle, Cardiac Muscle and smooth muscle.
All in All, this is a really interesting and potent idea

Reason for this is I always saw the sperm cell as a lizard and the water type is the swimming to the egg cell.

A Stem cell Pokémon to cover the Eeveelution concept. Thats brilliant. Stematl and Adipotl are so cute. And Myotl is so cool, I love it.

Please don't scrap Labsire just rename him ::(. He is literally perfect. He can be a secret evolution, but please for the love of god, and for the sake of all humanity, don't scrap him.

I really wish you kept Stemotl's normal, unspecialised evolution, because I remember seeing a fakemon guy make the same thing for Eevee (I think it was on Reddit).

Ive noticed that eeveelutions have stems into the more special/elemental types. Theres really no type that they have that are more physically oriented. in which case it does make sense why we got a new one in Sylveon and none since. The only one that i could argue to be added rn is Ghost but even ghost isnt fully fitting so i am fine with the ones we have now.

Yay! Someone else uses the axolotl for their eevee-like! I have my own definitely-not-eevee fakemon called Thatsalotl (normal/water) that can evolve into stuff like Steamalotl (fire/water), Quetzalotl (dragon/water), Zapsalotl (electric/water), etc, wish I'd thought of the stem cell idea though!

You should do a chlorine stemma and a sodium stemma and make them have a special form when brought together because of how sodium has 1 extra electron and chlorine is missing 1 to make and interesting dynamic between the species

I love these videos so mu h such a creative 5ake on my favourite franchise. You mentioned the Myelin sheath in the first evolution and I have a cool idea for a predator that specifically targets the Myelin sheath like aspect of that mon. There is a very rare condition that deserves a lot more discussion called Anti-MOG disease, it is an auto-immune disease that targets the eyes brain and spine of an individual. In my case it targeted the Myelin sheath surrounding my optic nerve causing me to go completely blind for over a week until I was given a high dose of very strong meds. This was a process called Optic Neuritis where the optic nerve was losing its protective Myelin sheath and eventually the signal between my eyes and my brain was so attacked by my own body it was coming through as like looking into old analogue TV static. Any way I think it is a topic that deserves a lot more discussion and could make for a brilliant character design concept.

I'm currently planning my own creature catching game, which btw, binged this whole series and it is SO good as a woman in STEM programs. Loving it so far, and all the designs are very creative and unique! Keep it up!! :))
But, I had a question for those who read this. Is the type system something I should ditch, or is it too important to leave out? It feels like it isn't necesseary, yet I can't come up with another system that accomplishes the same idea of giving certain creatures an inherant advantage aginst other ones even if their playstyle doesn't lead with the offensive idea. The combat is significantly chnaged, but im not sure if that change is good enough to allow all damage to be equal. (minus physical and special damage, there will be seperate damage types at least)
If you have suggestions on alernate systems, feel free to suggest, but I've hit a wall with this portion of the creative process lol
