@@kid9893 I think stories like that lend themselves to be more world building focus because there is less conflict. I know for my own Dino world building it wouldn’t be go too simply because dinotopia imo corner it’s niche so well. And outside of colors a lot of dinosaurs a really outdated unfortunately but in a way it lends to it being a fantasy setting
What's really funny about that is the fourth book which is about a decade old now actually had them go to another continent that had the feathered dinosaurs.
Dinotopia. Recognized it from the thumbnail. I have never forgot; it enters my mind from time to time. It is one of the BEST examples of world-building I know of.
>what can we learn from this? Dinosaurs are cool. They were cool and always will be cool. I am sure there is nothing else we could ever learn from this.
What an amazing vid for an amazingly cool setting that is all to often forgotten. Also when are you guys going to domesticate and live with the monsters in the Monday game?
Ill never forget Dinotopia! Core Memory for sure.
Haha congrats my friend. Everyone else I mentioned this topic to has a sudden resurgence of memories.
Dinotopia is a series I think of when someone uses the term cozy fantasy. It’s uplifting and unique with how it builds it world
What a fantastic way to put it. It is very cozy. I wish more people appreciated that instead of trying to make every setting dark and foreboding.

Please continue on dinotopia! Such a shame Gurney didn't continue, not enough TH-cam vids about it!
Definitely would love more in this setting. I remember checking out the VHS(s)of one of its live action movies/shows from the library as a kid
It gets pretty cool. Book 3 looses the plot a little with Dinosaur Human Hybrids but book 4 comes back by making a new land of feathered dinosaurs.
I remember. I loved the mini-series; still have it on DVD. Fantastic story.
YES YES I HAD IT ON VHS. I thought i was losing it saying it was like 2hr long. I'm so thankful you made this!
>what can we learn from this?
Dinosaurs are cool. They were cool and always will be cool. I am sure there is nothing else we could ever learn from this.
That is the most important lesson for sure.
Sapient, not sentient. That's literally the name of our species, dogs and crows are sentient, even mollusks are sentient.
YOO I rewatched this while I was sick last week 🙌🏾
Totally forgot about this subject. Would love to hear more.
Looks like we will be getting that followup video
Ahh, I would LOVE to see more! Sharing with all my friends so they can like it just for me to see more Dinotopia 😂
Thank you my friend. It seems we are on good track right now so heres hoping.
As somebody who only have known the Davis Doi movie as a kid, my mind was blown by this video, hahaha
Oh yeah there's so much more here.
I'd never heard of it until the Hallmark mini-series.
I wish I could like this 100 times by myself
Thank you my friend. We are slowly getting there so heres hoping!
@@kid9893 It's over the line, go for it.

Thank you my friend. Also we already have, we kidnapped the oil monster after all.
That French viewer won't be single once I get a hold of him 😤
True. He needs a Dark Soul Daddy
@@kid9893 Non merci
I have an art book by Gurney. I still need to finish it.
He's a really good artist and has some fantastic advice
This world would be great show off feathered dinos.
That was actually the subject of book 4. He wanted to update it and show off the new feathered ones.
Come on follow up video!
Come on follow up video!
It looks like we will be getting one.
i think i remember a drawing book about this?
Oh eldritch powers of the algorithm! Take thee this offering I bring forth in the form of a comment.
I never god the obsession with dinosaurs. I mean most never evwn existed like that anyways.
Imagine dragons but they are real. That's the same energy.
Wait til the remake, I hear they’re gonna gender swap all the dinos and call it gynotopia
This pun absolutely killed me. Bravo.
