  • This is a review of the onefinity cnc router. Find out if it is over-hyped or worth the money! I will review the top 8 impressive features you will love, as well as 5 "sucky" features of the Onefinity cnc router. The Onefinity has changed my business for the better over the past year that I have owned it and I believe it is my responsibility to pass on what I have found beneficial and not to you.

    I put an 80mm 2.2 K watt, Water-cooled Spindle and it works like a charm, no complaint. No Complaint on the dust chute too that is on a 4" to the 2 1/2' port ( sucks everything), and I never use any clamps only tape and crazy glue, or 22 gauge pins or vacuum table that I install on my Onefinity table under belly.

    I agree, this machine is a beast compared to others for the same money. I have done so many projects without any issues at all. I am currently using the Makita router and have never had issues (yet) but have invested and received my PWNCNC spindle kit ( not installed yet but very soon)that has the standard 65mm housing to bolt directly on the factory Onefinity mount as is However PWNCNC does offer an 80mm option spindle if you want bigger.
    I am in agreement with all of your points on this unit and am also extremely happy with my choice to choose the ONEFINITY.

      FYI: you can use a mouse and a monitor or TV as well. I originally ordered mine with the upgraded touch screen, but they were out of stock so I was refunded the difference and it shipped with a 8" screen. After messing around with the and finding my aging eyes having issues seeing the text, I ditched the touch screen in favor of a 50" TV (which I have wall mounted above my CNC) and I use a cheapo wireless mouse. Great video. I am wanting to purchase a CNC to start a small side business but haven’t, largely because I have researched it to death which has made me even more undecided. The Onefinity may very well be the machine for me. What is the learning curve for the software? I am a tech guy so I am assuming it is probably decent.

    • @twoelmbuilds
      @twoelmbuilds  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use Vectric V-carve for the software, but there are a ton of options out there to use for Cad/cam software. I chose Vectric becauae of the huge amount of information available to learn the program. I have heard from many people that they chose fusion 360 because it works for lasers too. Something to consider if you want to use a laser in the future. I am savvt with tech and I was able to do basic design with vectric in the matter of a few days, but the program is so vast, I am always learning new things. As for the onefinity, I will never regret the purchase.

      @twoelmbuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice to see another Minnesotan! If you want to use your laptop instead of the display, that will work just fine. The only concern may be having your laptop in a dusty environment part of the time . You could try to use it from another room, but I think you may get tired of having to go back and forth to the cnc to get things set up and stated. I think a touch screen really is the best option. @@twoelmbuilds mines less than a month old I paid 4274 for the wood worker x50 model with the qcw frame and wall mount so no bench would be required but it has some issues. the qcw frame is nice but a lot of wasted space and the spindle is not centered front to rear. 9 inches unused in the rear of the work area. i know a cure but will require more dollars in paying a machine shop to produce the items for me. im considering it and if so plan to patent my idea and market it. I shared my idea with 1f thought they might make me a beta version for testing and make available for upgrade. so do some research pictures dont show nor do these guys videos of this issue with work space not being centered for the qcw frame. bout 350 bucks for the qcw frame if recall right.
      and yes be prepaired to make all warranty repairs pretty much yourself thats how they work it. they send you to a forum to read a bunch of stuff and videos and send you the parts to make the repairs. which i like but for new machine under warranty no i dont like doing their job for them. I paid for a service thats on me more less. kinda bs in my opinion. had a connector issue kept me down and reading for a week full time day and night and nothing worked that they sent me to read and watch and then i hear user error bs. had to get down right ugly with them and showed them a complaint form i filed then they tell me oh its a wire. lol it was but was handled poorly in getting to the resolution. once they told me the truth I fixed it in 10 mins no videos no reading in their forum and ive not had an issue since. a pin got pushed back in one of the connectors i used a pair of thin nose pliers and pullled it back up into place but they did get right on sending me a new cable and it arrived in 2 days. I put it back for if the issue ever arrises again i have aback up. thats my big complaint on support and warranty and some of the flimsy 3d printed materials they use for the monitor arm and the wire clips for the y rails. they are junk. put a bumper sticker on a lambo kinda thing. Machine is rock solid though. I have made a few dumb moves and seen it plunge cut an inch deep into my material and it keeps right on truckin. makita struggles at that depth lol 100 ipm 1 inch deep 1/4 inch compression bit. full cut lol ooops lol you made a great video good job. im gonna have to upgrade to a spindle i think. I like the idea and the greater control with more power but idk do you really need it? user prefrence i suppose and probably will out last the makita router. im thinkingit over though lol right now I just wanna use the machine and not work on it after the experince i had over a stupid wire connector lol one day i could carve thought the forum answers were right and then boom couldnt even home machine lol itwas a mess to have to go thru to get to the root cause but shouldnt had been in my opinion. once you get orders youll wish you had 2 of them. one to fullfill orders the other to test your designs on and work out the bugs if needed lol and a bigger shop lol skys the limit on what you can make with these if you learn the software properly and they keep updating the design software with even more great tools to help you draw your designs and make your tool paths with. youlll have to study like a college course to learn it all. the software is they key and heart of every cnc machine router printer etc. without the software you might as well use a router and chisel and never make anything identical. my advice before buying any cnc machine is download the free version of the software you think youd like and learn it first then buy your machine after you learn how to use the software. sure glad that is what I done. or id still be just cutting circles and squares if anything at all. and youlll learn even more when you get the machine and actually put what you think youve learnt to use.
