We actually did have a 3DO, loved playing some of those games as a kid, Alone in the Dark, Theme Park, The Hoard, Space hulk, and Out of this World. I didn't get to play this much, but I'm excited to give it another shot with a remaster!
I remember seeing killing time ads in magazines and thinking games couldnt look any more real haha,, the 3do was a myth when i was growing up nobody had one
I can’t wait to pick this up on steam.i have been waiting for a port with controller support .Killing time was a guilty pleasure for me growing up as a kid.i was lucky enough to get the 3do for Christmas and I remember this is the only game i had for the system but i played it to death. As a 45 year old man now i still hold this game close to my heart
Oh wow I had no clue this was a thing. I played it on PC when I was a kid but I was disappointed because it looked nowhere as good as the 3DO version which was featured in the trailer. Looking forward to playing this!
I have a 99% complete in box 3D0 collection with all mail in promo discs and controllers in box - only need the Dinopark Tycoon box. Killing time was always a favorite
A good friend on mine had a 3DO at the time, he was that one kid who got everything, Coleco Adam, Neo Geo, high end PC, etc. Sadly, the 3DO appeared to most as a $700 Sega CD, and not much more. There was a display unit at the mall near me, and Madden would run on it and everyone thought it looked killer, then they saw the price, NOPE. Super SF2 Turbo was probably the best game my friend had at the time, but those Panasonic controllers were terrible, and I don't think any of the 6 button offerings ever got released in the states. The 3DO was a good idea that I guess was ahead of its time, as it did have a handful of unique titles, but it also had many games that were available elsewhere(and cheaper). Gaming history is littered with systems like the 3DO that were too soon, or too late to the market. And some that just didn't make the cut for a number of reasons. It's always great when a game like this gets a second shot at life, as every system ever has games locked to a specific device, and many of those were in fact good games.
11 hours and waiting....good lord why don't they just release it and let me play it today ? tmw i have METAPHOR coming in the mail and already SILENT HILL 2 remake is in my drive, i have so much to do and so little time, being an adult sucks, u can buy what u want but no time to play and i just finished WUKONG and SPACE MARINES 2.....Lord have mercy.
When I lived on the other side of the U.S. in the late 90's I had a neighbor next door that got one. The only game I tried on it was Total Eclipse and the 3D in that blew me away at the time. Neighbor had the Panasonic 3DO and had paid $700 but he had gotten a big settlement for reasons tied to a terminal illness he had so the price was nothing to him but the price seemed insane to me and was out of my reach.
yeah playing this game literally feels like iam on the 3DO again. and i mean that in a good way. incredibly nostalgic. dont know how they pulled it off but i hope they do escape from monster manor next.
I bought a 3DO, but at a time when the price dropped to $400. It was a great Console for its time, and revolutionized gaming, imho. The Need for Speed series debuted on it, as well as the modern Madden nfl as we know it. Road Rash and Electronic Arts was heavily invested, as was Crystal Dynamics. It had a LOT of great games. I still have mine, though I traded in all but one game many years ago. In case you are curious as to the one game I kept, it was the "Daedalus Encounter" with Tia Carrera of Wayne's World fame. I'm keeping that fmv gem.
Had a 3do and this game when it came out. The controls and open map made the game a pain to play at the time. So excited that NightDive picked this up. Will be grabbing it as soon as it releases.
who gives a ef about zoomers. Nightdive are the masters when it comes to this kind of stuff. Now if only the Nintendo crew would give them Eternal Darkness to work on, that would be a hit that would make both companies money.
I don't think there was a console released in the US during the 20th century that one of my childhood friends didn't own. I believe he had two 3DOs from different manufacturers.
Im not getting this game unless we are getting Turok Rage Wras. I got the original one on steam and gog and we did not get a free upgrade for that. If Night Dive wants my money they need to give us the games we want.
I am honestly sick and tired to death of the term boomer shooter being used for 90s FPS games (and modern indie shooters inspired by them). Like, why not just call them what they are, Retro Shooters, it makes more sense. I mean imagine how obnoxious itbwould be if we started calling FPS games released in the 2000s millennial shooters.
@@cyborgparrot1996Because Half life, Rainbow Six and Goldeneye were also in the 90's and are retro shooters. Boomer shooters were once called retro 90's shooters.

I owned a 3DO and still do. I still have my full library of games. Still a lot of fun.
This is a blast from the past and I look forward to revisiting this campy classic!

Played this on a 3dO in my lunch breaks in Game Southend! Would love an updated version of Realms of the Haunting!

I never played it back in the day, but it certainly looks like fun. I may pick it up at some point.
I played the original pc version. I did have a friend who had a 3DO a Panasonic if I remember correctly, we played SpaceHulk nonstop.

I had a 3do. Return Fire was a blast. Road Rash was awesome too. It blew away sega cd
I just played this on my modded ps4 for the ps1.😮😮😮😮
My Dad owned this game it was wild as a kid lol
Awaken astral blade review ? Godd ?

With so many options for boomer shooters I just don’t see the point.
