On your particular flight it seems that British Airways got everything right in Club Europe. Catering looks really impressive and with such a light passenger load it sounds like the cabin crew were both friendly and attentive. If BA could provide this level of service on every shorthaul flight they would excel but they are too inconsistent at present which lets them down in my opinion. A great flight report!
Was for sure a special one, although the load was super flight, the front section was relatively well filled out. Great to see the catering on point though!
Does indeed, later found that out. I’d say Qantas and Cathay options the best for sure! On the seats, I’ve never seen a BA jet with anything different for CE on three current line up, would be keen to see!
@@Travelsbydreamer The A320 Neos don't have a table blocking the middle seat... The new A321 Neo that has just been delivered has dark seats with red piping .. oh and a middle seat table in CE!!
@@richardstreet7518 sorry I see what you mean! Yes you’re right, having the middle table is key making the 320 CEO’s a little better, with an all be it slightly more tired interior due to cabin age. Bring on more of the brand new seats!
Here’s a question I still can’t work out the answer to. If you’ve gold or silver status. Would you rather have club Europe or extra legroom exit seat in economy? If you are doing a flight of say less than 90 mins?
That’s a really good one! I feel a little 50/50. Tbh, just for the benefit of getting off first the front row CE probably best and with that you get the leg room also. I like the service onboard and the drinks etc. So perhaps just about CE if front row otherwise, I do tend to go economy for the exit row and awful lot then enjoy the club benefits off the aircraft :)
I've always thought intra European business class flights are only worth it when seated in the very front. Maybe I'm just lucky but i took 9 skyteam short haul flights and have always been able to choose the front seat in advance. I haven't tried British though. Going back to your question, i would probably take an exit row seat in economy.
Love the space shuttle analogy and then the immediate visit to the toilet, ha-ha!!!. He simpers and smirks and makes love to us all (Jane Austin I think?) and yet you still turn out a damned good report...Oh dear, not enough Schweppes in my Tanqueray!!! That bathroom was stained and crusty and a total shock for any class of travel..typical BA leaving everything till it needs desperately fixing/changing/upgrading. European business seating suits only the airlines, not the passengers but for most European short haul it's tolerable I guess, only if the price is right. Fever Tree indeed....the dernier-cri in mixers.
Haha thankfully toilet visit wasn’t as result of the take off roll 😂 Just has to be fever tree doesn’t it, such a touch of class about it, especially when from the glass bottles! Toilets looking their age for sure! Lots more from BA coming soon, including their first cabin 😃
Looks a really good experience, the refreshed lounge at T3 looked very comfortable ' It's certainly about time that BA updated the 2 main lounges at T5 a few new chairs and tables isn't a upgrade, its nice when a flight operates with only a few passengers. Many years ago I flew back from Washington DC with Virgin on a A340-600 there were less than 70 passengers on board ! Not sure I would if compared take off with a shuttle considering 2 exploded on launch 😉, But as ever a great review
With you all the way on the T5 lounges, such a shame. The new chairs are such a sticking plaster - they’re massively over subscribed at the moment also. Washington flight sounds ideal I do love those! Fair point also about the space shuttle! 😅 Thanks so much - see you in another one soon!
Yet another great video Dreamer! They just get better and better. Can you please tell me where you got that case from? I know you are a very frequent flyer so would guess only the very best is good enough for your demanding schedule?
Thanks so much! The cases I use in the videos are by Level8 and would highly recommend them. They’re a regular sponsor of the channel - stay tuned for a special discount code soon as part of videos I’m shooting with them later this month!
First timer for club europe here. I noted on the t3 BA lounge it said "by invitation only" assuming if youre in club europe for your flight that counts as the invite?
Hi. Thank you for this detailed review 🙏. Im flying BA club europe in September with my other half. Do you know if the middle tray can be moved in any way?
You’re very welcome! Yeah, I’m sure it can, purely because the European business class model is all about flexibility in that they can push the curtain back and slap on a couple of middle trays and hey presto, sell more business class tickets so as result, I’d imagine they’re pretty quick to dispose of if you wanted that closeness. Have a fab flight :)
@@Travelsbydreamer Great video just come across your channel. Im looking to purchase a business class flight to Tenerife but have an 8 year old son so there are 3 im a little concerned as to the seating arrangements (is it better just to sit him in the middle as example? any thoughts would be appreciated (also just to confirm all food and drink off the menu is included in your price) many thanks
@@martain88 thank you! If there’s 3, it may be best to sit window - aisle - aisle then he’s in between. I can’t see the staff having an issue removing the middle tray to allow you all to be really close - worth popping the question to BA. Yep, all food and drinks inclusive at the time of filming 🙏

Hands down fully agree - also my all time favorite reviewer !! 🥰
@@JEH80 You’re all way too kind!
Looks nice! Yes it's actually better to fly BA out of T3 than T5 since the Cathay first lounge is much better than Galleries First.
