It's surprising you're writing this bc it's not brought up as a point anymore: nobody brings up the "war" b/c that's been refuted. Look up what really happened in 1948. This alone should show you the Arabs in the area, if really wanted to fight, would've stepped in 1946-47, when word of the first massacres and expulsions were happening. At that time 200,000 Palestinians were expelled. Read abt it from different sources. In 1948, there was no "war" of combatants vs. combatants, and no historian now denies this. What really happened is the "Arabs" (what is that exactly? Sudanese speak Arabic and they are "black") weren't interested in fighting, ill-prepared (every history book, no matter the persuasion, says this), and rearraging themselves after colonialism. They were simply responding to the massacres happening in the villages next door! Village by village, the Haganah and Irgun plundered and massacred it's inhabitants. Heck, even mainstream Isreaelis will point this out, and so do historians. So your comment is not only inaccurate, it shows you deny what's really happening. Torture in prisons, raids in refugee camps, massacres, like the Flour Massacre last month (again, every news organization covered this-now undeniable).

@@kroubian Again, what books are you reading?! I go through the UC Berkely archives, I read up from Israeli historians, and watch eye-whitness accounts from Irgun soldiers here on YT. They don't hide what happened: they'll openly tell you about the atrocities they engaged in. As for "Arab" countries, this alone means you aren't reading effectively. Do you know Avi Shlaim, the Iraqi? Or the Sassoons? Look them up. They dispell all of this. Or those in Morocco, where they still enjoy lofty relations w/ the king? No, they left AFTER the state was established, w/ tensions arising (look up the Yemen riots) and incentives: free land, homes, free flights there. All this is documented. I'm wondering why you're hear writing these rehearsed points; are you an adult? B/c even there ppl don't bring up these points anymore. The don't even bring up the war or that "Arabs were told to leave" b/c that's been refuted. Also the 5 armies weren't prepared and didnt' have nearly the same militia. Again, I get surprised when ppl post comments like this, b/c frankly, I'm embarrassed for them!! It's obvious a group is subjugating another and always has been, and here you are repeating rehearsed points? Be on the right side of history-it'll ease your heart!

The Nakba didn't only expulse the Palestinian Arab majority, thousands of Turkmen/Turkish people who have lived there for hundreds of years were also forced to leave. Some of them had the options to move to Turkey and Syria, especially when they could intermarry with other ethnic Turkmen in nearby countries. IDF Intelligence Service report from June 1948 lists 11 factors which precipitated the exodus, listing them in order of importance as:
    a. Direct hostile Jewish operations against Arab settlements. (The Haganah was the army of the Yeshuv, or Jewish community in Palestine, and was the precursor of the Israeli Defense Force, or IDF.)
    b. The effect of our hostile operations on nearby Arab settlements (especially the fall of large neighboring centers).
    c. Operations of the Jewish dissidents (terrorist organisations like Irgun and the Stern Gang, also known as the Irgun Tzvai Leumi, Lehi, etc.).
    d. Jewish whispering operations (psy-ops) aimed at frightening away Arab inhabitants.
    e. Expulsion orders (by Haganah/IDF).
The Israeli Intelligence Service gives an explanation re. the main factors, concluding that *“without doubt, hostile (edit: own) operations were the main cause of the movement of the population”.*
According to the own analyses, it was a forced expulsion, or ethnic cleansing. Note that more than half of these actions took place *before* the Arab attack of 1948, so that the typical apologetic "it was war you know," is no excuse.

Gaza and the West Bank were territories belonging to Egypt and Jordan until Israel obtained those territories by right of conquest as a result of the 1967/1973 wars; the only Palestinian country that exists is Jordan, which was the larger part of the British Palestine mandate and was given to Palestinian Arabs after WW1 and then given independence by Britain in 1946; essentially, Palestinian Arabs have the land east of the Jordan River being the country of Jordan and Israel have the land west of the Jordan River, but of course Palestinians want all of the land possessed by Israel and leftist anti-Jew channels like Seder's socialist echo chamber push this.
