You can bust your head playing hockey too. If you are learning to skateboard, it's inevitable that you will get hurt from time to time. Simply just rolling down the street, you can hit a rock and fly off. Shouldn't stop anyone from trying though.
Man you skaters got it good today. Back when I skated in the 90's our only way of learning new tricks was if someone at the skatepark was nice enough to teach us. I wish I had all these resources on the internet back then... I'd have probably been a lot better. A lot of my tricks were self taught actually. I kinda just guessed how to 360 flip...and only landed one in my life lol.
My local park was similar. Lots of fights and pressure 😅😅 taught me well . My cousin on the other hand was so afraid of going and I just wanted to skate at the park but more importantly with him so we found spots I guess😮
I started like a year and a half ago and I’m so glad I have videos and tips from the internet. It definitely helps me a lot with almost every trick. Big respect to the skaters who learned everything just by trial and error by themselves
Honestly, I learned so much better that way anyway. It's one thing to have a video show you the steps, but it's another to have real feedback from someone in person, in real time. I could never have confidently learned how to drop into a half pipe from just a video, but a dude at the skatepark taught me in just a couple hours. I also learned how to fall properly on ramps to avoid injury, something that I probably wouldn't have gotten from a video and could have gotten seriously hurt without.
I feel like it's easier it took me awhile to learn a kick flip and even though I didn't learn a Cassanova flip until after I learned I kick flip it still felt easier
@@Hhhhhiiikkkk you can grab your skateboard whichever way is comfortable for you. People that are worried about mall grabbing are just insecure and they worry too much about what others think of them.
I have a theoretical trick called the grab flip, if you do a kick flip but instead of flipping the board you grab the trunks and manually flip it urself, idk if its a trick or not or if has been done, but it seems like a sick trick.
I’ve taught a few people how to skateboard but these ideas are incredible! Usually I have the person stand on the board while I hold the wheel and have them jump and do 180s to get comfortable with jumping and landing off of the board but this is great for learning, flip tricks!!
We used to do casanovas but instead of using your heels to flip the board forwards, you use your toes to flip the board back like a kick flip then you underflip it all in one motion. We called it a Butterfly flip. Easiest flip trick in the world to learn IMO. Hard to do while rolling and looks like a fast kick flip - under flip so it’s a dope trick to have regardless. Easy to learn, hard to master and looks good. (Edit) It’s just as easy to learn as the Casanova as well btw, maybe even easier. You align the toes of both feet with the screws in your deck so the heel half of your feet are hanging off the side of the board, then you flick down hard with the toes of both feet on the edge of the deck so it flips towards you, then in the same motion you jump with both feet and use your toes to underflip the board back like he showed in his first clip
People saying about the primos and falls they will have to endure in the process for the Casanova but you guys have to remember that if you want to skate for real, the slams will be unavoidable and it will hurt but the passion for skateboarding (if you have it), will help you overcome the falls and get up to try again and again.
fun fact, the underflip can be transfered later into an ollie underflip, and once you got that, you can use it to counter rotating some flips (like kickflip)
Other ways: - fingerflip from tailstall - old skool kickflip (m80) - ollie fingerflip (no foot nosegrab) - sal flip (INCREDIBLY HARD) - shuvit underflip - nerdflip - pressure heelflip - toe flips Technically late flips dont require a kickflip as u just tap it in the right spot... Also heelflips lmao
“Kickflips are cool but hard to learn.” Kickflips are the base move for almost every single skate trick. If you can’t learn how to Kickflip, either keep trying until you learn it or give up
Why lol Dude I am 31, and just re-started skating…when I was a (bad) skater at like 13-15, I landed one kick flip ever. My full heart wasn’t in it sure, I was more involved in playing music, but point is that it was Fucking Fun, and who gives a shit if you never land a kickflip? Older and with more patience and careful strategy, I’m getting close to it now but dude if all I ever did with the board was ride around my hood, doing longest possible nose manuals, bombing hills, tryna do high smooth nollies and stuff, the fun will still def be worth the $100 for complete deck with all the custom nuts and bolts, extremely much so. Giving a fuck what people at the skate spot think of you is for insecure kids: doing whatever at whatever pace you like cuz you like it, that’s grownups shit

"Casanova Flip" aka. playing Russian Roulette with your skateboard and falling more times than when learning a kickflip.. 😂😂😂
Doing a kickflip is easier than a Cassanova flip. Lol 😂

I got used to falling primo so much I gained the reflex to turn my torso around to save my fall with my hands 💀
Lolzzzz I thought the same thing 😅😅😅
Stuff small balloons in your pants, so when you land, they pop and you get a laugh.
fr. I was practicing a trick and I landed primo I froze for a second then fell flat on my back
I got a concussion that way from landing so hard on my ass it jolted my 🧠

I like using the under flip if I miss heelflips or kickflips it helps feel out the timing of the catch of the board. Definitely helps.
You left out pressure flips & you can also engage an underflip, early or late, with your back foot if you spin it 180 or 360
actually casanova flip is the under flip, the second one is primo flip. There are ghost flip, classic flip and finger flips too. thanks for the vid.

quick tip: a lot of ppl can’t land their front foot on the board, this is because you are flicking down. try flicking up at the nose
