    It's it funny how LeBron gets so much hate for the smallest actions, but players like Bryant and Jordan get praised for being disrespectful. LeBron's one of the most humble players of all-time. He always mentions his teammates in acceptance speeches and he's a pass-first player. The evidence is here on the type of player Bryant is. If you want to know the type of player Jordan was, just listen to his Hall of Fame speech and the story about his fight with Steve Kerr.

    • @DaKidGowie
      @DaKidGowie 10 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      ***** Can you prove otherwise? Beside him joking about how many championships Miami were going to win, I never saw LeBron throw any players under the bus, never seen talk down on anyone or take full credit for an award.

    • @ethanblough2636
      @ethanblough2636 10 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Id say KD is more humble, but get what you're saying. You also must remember back in those days kobe was really swlfish and never passed. He fixed that a lot over the years.

    • @DaKidGowie
      @DaKidGowie 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ethan Blough Yes, KD is very humble, but that's why I said "one of" not "he is." Kobe has improved over the years due to maturity.

      The worst part about Kobe Bryant is the fact that his first 3 rings were GIVEN to him.. not only did he not help the team in the threepeat.. but the team had a better winning percentage without him... and the teams winning percentage dropped dramatically in games that Shaq missed. And he was absolute trash in the finals all 3 years... Kobe eventually got better, he does have one MVP award, and I give him credit for that, but I probably shouldn't.. the real credit should go to Phil Jackson. Kobe was a cancer on the Lakers team.. they would have been a dynasty if they never would have traded to get Kobe as a rookie. They would have kept Shaq longer and kept Phil longer.. they would have won about 8 or 9 rings in 10 years.

    • @adamdaniel01
      @adamdaniel01 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You believe Smush? You believe what any athlete will say about someone you don't like such as Kobe or whomever? Don't be stupid.
      Even if this were true to a degree Parker had no choice but to take the scorn. It was Kobe’s team, and not only did everyone know it, Kobe earned that distinction by outworking and out-producing everyone on the court.
      It's no secret former players such as Rick Fox and D. Fisher have said KOBE famously demanded excellence from his teammates by being a jerk at times to them until they reached his competitive level. It mostly worked, and the players who couldn't handle it were weeded out of LA. Smush just falls victim to that and is bitter.
      Kobe was obviously doing something right. 5 Nba Titles, 7 Western Conf. Championships.
      Some people are leaders in different ways and succeed. It's great to see all methods to achieve success. There is also going to be people who can't handle strong leaders and want to find hate against that person so they can use it as an excuse.
      Shame on you Smush, you had a wonderful opportunity to be a starting PG for the most prestigious and recognizable franchise in the NBA. Play for the greatest coach ever and one of the greatest players ever. Yet you fail to realize that your NBA failures are your own doing and not KOBE or whomever else it might be.
      Smush looks pity in this....
      I like the NBA and can appreciate all great players. Stop the HATING.

      Smush Parker would have been much better if the Lakers had a better cast. By comparison, he's on the same level as Derek Fisher. Fisher's career efficiency rating is an 11.7, and his career field goal percentage is below 40 percent. He is perhaps the most overrated basketball player of all time, yet he's still an icon in LA.
      Unlike Derek Fisher, Smush Parker was able to shoot above 44 percent from the field, and he put up similar numbers at a much younger age. The only difference is that Fisher was a product of a great LA system.

    • @gmn545
      @gmn545 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      KTD82291 Derek Fisher is an "icon" in LA because of his stellar clutch performances in the playoffs that greatly assisted LA in winning rings, as well as his veteran leadership. The value he added to the team was significantly greater than Smush Parker.

    Let me recap and tell you guys the story. Kobe was annoyed that the Lakers were too cheap to get a legit point guard and decided to get Smush from the D-League. In a professional setting, with a guy who is at the top of his career, Kobe felt that it was pretty insulting, given he and Shaq brought championships to the organization a few years past. Now he would have to share a backcourt with a D-League player. Think about that. Kobe had goals he wanted to accomplish, and Smush didn't have the talent to help him. NOW, THAT'S NOT ALL. Instead of coming into the team hungry, and ready to work hard, Smush was lackadaisical and un-focused. He wasn't bad, but he didn't improve, and didn't leave his all on the court every day. This is another thing that pissed Kobe off. Here's a guy who got the break of a lifetime, to play along 1 of the 10 greatest players of ALL-TIME, and he is casually going through practice asking Kobe about football and making conversation. I think it's important to remember this is a PROFESSIONAL environment where you're fired / let go if you don't reach your goals. It's a ruthless business. So it's not like they met for coffee at Panera Bread and Kobe was just being a dick. His main coworker wasn't talented, focused, or hardworking and he felt it was a waste of his time to deal with him.

      The closest the correct answer will be was Kobe's OT performance in Gm 4 against Indiana in the 2000 Finals. But if Fish was such a bum, how did he save Kobe's ass not once (the aforementioned Gm 3) but TWICE...hitting those HUGE 3's in Gm 4 against Orlando in 2009?

    As a Kobe fan and as much as I hate saying this, I'm really disappointed in this. This just shows how Kobe has so much pride in his head. Just because Parker doesn't have enough accolades under his belt, he cannot talk to Kobe at all? I know Michael Jordan has been extremely tough on his teammates back in the day but I doubt he would make comments like that. I remember one NBA finals game in 1998 (I believe it's game 5), just before the game started Michael actually did a fist pump with one guy sweeping the floor. Now that's a good sign of humility, which unfortunately Kobe doesn't seem to have.

    Instead of making assumptions, people need to understand what kind of player Kobe is. He has a relentless pursuit of winning. He works harder than anyone in the NBA. He lives and breathes basketball and he's constantly seeking perfection out of himself.
    That said, he expects the same type of dedication to come out of his teammates, that's why he pushes them so hard. People have the wrong idea about him and his intentions. When I see something like this, where he says that to a teammate, what I see is him trying to tell Smush to stop messing around and start working. Especially when we're not doing so hot, we should be here to work even harder. He's challenging Smush to show some dedication and bust his ass to improve, then go out there and help them win. That's what I get from it, and that's what winners and champions will get from it. People who don't understand that type of mentality will take it the wrong way as so many have, including Smush.
    Kobe never, and will never respect players who don't dedicate themselves. It's just the way it is, and I don't blame him whatsoever for it. MJ was similar. This is another reason why there was friction between Kobe and Howard. Howard settles for just being good and strolling along. Instead of pushing himself to the next level, which is what Kobe wanted out of him, he prefers staying in his comfort zone.
    This is the difference between a player with the heart of a champion and a killer instinct, and all the rest.
