I noticed this kid's ability to throw the ball real quick but the one thing that he definitely needs to work on that he's not anywhere close to Joe burrow is his pocket presence... he gets rattled with pressure tends to hurry his throws... he's a very emotional animated guy and that will throw you off in pressure situations or like in the NFL where every down you're practically getting pressured... he needs to learn to be calm amongst chaos... but he definitely has the arm talent the guy drops dimes when given time but in the NFL you very rarely get time you have to be able to do it when everyone in the stadium and at home knows you have to pass... you're going to be pressured you're going to have to think quicker react quicker and make the same throws
Klatt couldn’t be more wrong about the Colts under Luck....they had a horrendous roster, no OLine, and an absolute joke of a GM in Ryan Grigson. Since then Chris Ballard, an excellent GM, has built one of the best rosters in the league including a great offensive line. Unfortunately they don’t have a QB because dragging bad teams to 11-5 records ruined Andrew Luck physically and sapped his desire to play the game. Luck was in fact so good that a legitimately BAD football team was a playoff lock. This is exactly why Lawrence needs to be careful. Make sure the Jets pay for the right coach/OC and continue to build the OLine.

Yeah I'm an osu fan and we did not deserve to be in the playoffs that year. Although the next year osu was really nasty and a much better team but they got snubbed because of the bad JT playoff game. The selection process should be better imo

@@SocialAssasin jt just couldn't make the difficult throws. He was a decent game manager and was ok at the easy stuff. We really didnt see him have to do this much because the offense typically used him in spread and wide open throws would develop(from teams trying to stop the zone read).

@@hollytrinity8012 yep so are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Troy Aikman and many other QB'S with prolonged success. Being a pocket passer that prefers to consistently make the smart throw instead of the flashy play or the wow throw wins games. Especially if the game manager makes smart quick decisions with the ball and consistently gets the offense in the right play and the ball to the right guy to move the offense.
Can we give some credit to Lane Kiffin for changing Alabama offense, because it happened under him!
Kevin Sumlin and Kliff Kingsbury.. Manzell. As much as couldn’t stand him changed Alabama. They couldn’t stop him. And of all the great corners they had couldn’t stop Mike Evans.
@@mauricebrown1277 - You might as well say Utah changed Alabama. I remember that spread offense tearing the Tide up! 31-17 was the final score. Bama had to go back and get right afterwards.
Nick Saban has been trying to build up the Bama offense since he started. He got the defense when he entered and he had Greg Mcelroy and AJ Mcarron who brought the deep ball in many games, the score has been rising ever since. He's always known he needed an offense and of course it's the recruiting that gets the talent for each position so the defensive and offensive couches can make something out of them but it's their job to do so. If anyone has done anything it's Nick Saban for bringing wins back to Tuscaloosa or we could all say the all offensive and defensive couches in all football are the ones winning all the games for all teams. It's all the couches jobs to orchestrate the team into makeing wins happen and without Nick Saban those couches wouldn't even have jobs or a second chance at couching in college football and occasionally the NFL.

I have to disagree with Joel on the Bama getting beat by Deshawn Watson take. That was because Hurts couldn't go through his progressions so if the 1st guy wasn't open he ran. Clemson figures that and it was over from there. Alabama had the receivers Hurts just couldn't get to the next guy so you couldn't really tell.

It's not just sticking up for the corporations Colin. It's unfair to the fans if their teams have no way to get good players and ever recover. The NFL is built so fans of all teams have hope. What good free agent is going to the Jets right now? Maybe people will sign if Trevor Lawrence shows potential there. Dude's going to make a ton of money regardless of whether or not he plays there. He'd be a legend if he made them relevant again.

Thank you Joel Klatt for correcting Colin Cowherd on Mac Jones. Colin believes a QB without running ability is automatically a bad QB. Even though a aging, immobile QB (Tom Brady), just won the 2020 Super Bowl for the 7th time in 20 years.

1. Jones can read defenses.
2. Jones can audible out of a bad play,& into a good play.
3. Jones has a quick accurate release.
4. Jones feels pass pressure. Like Brady, he moves well inside the pocket.
5. Jones has excellent footwork.
6. Jones ran a 4.7 40 at his combine.
7. Jones can run.
They always talk about Georgia be a top team....what have they won? They have how many SEC titles in the past 30 YEARS?! AND they’ve been to 1 national title game in 40 YEARS!! Florida laughably dominated them for nearly a decade this millennia. Once Florida gets back to where they were (and they’re close) no one will talk about Georgia as a tier 1 school.
Clemson was the first team in the Southeast playing BIG 12 football on offense. When Dabo hired Oklahoma’s D coordinator. It flipped everything. Also Clemson prolly has had the Best Wideout Group in the last 10 years. So shoutout to Klatt pointing out that Clemson basically changed the sport in the last 5 years!!
Colin Cowherd HATES anything to do with Alabama. It is amazing that he would trash talk a college kid just because he dislikes his team. Right at the start of the interview, Joel Klatt showed Cowheard how silly he was with his wide receiver remark. I am writing this after the fact but you know Alabama winning the National Championship just CRUSHED him.

Yes Trevor Lawrence can pull a ''Elway Manning'' move, but what changes for him? If it's not the Jets who's gonna draft him, what makes Jaguars or Falcons or Washington or even Giants better for him? It's just adding unecessary drama for nothing, because the other teams in the QB hunt is just as bad organizations as the Jets.
The difficult rebuild at Nebraska was accurately predicted by many college football analysts back in 2010. They said then that the move to the Big 10 conference would prevent the Cornhuskers from recruiting the top talent they relied on from the State of Texas, and they were right. Those Texas families used to send their sons off to Nebraska because they knew they could travel to away games at Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, and not too long ago Texas A&M. They're not willing to travel to Big 10 cities, so Nebraska has become a lonely outpost in the recruiting wars of college football. Scott Frost should never have left the talent-laden State of Florida and UCF.

So Mac Jones plays better in the same offense than Tua did and somehow isnt a NFL QB?? Alabama lost a bunch of those weapons too, so Tua had even more which is crazy to begin with. I love Tua but when Mac Jones is playing better than he did, kinda dumb to say he isn't a nfl QB COLIN
