    1. From this pov, i just realized why they called Nurburgring Green Hell. That is really scary with a lot of high speed straight and fast corner.
    2. You are a good driver 👍

      Plus the sideways and the track itself is very narrow. This is literally the worst track on Earth for beginners.

    Just bought one last year, knew the engine wasnt great - but the beauty is you can thrash the arse off it on t a quiet road without reaching crazy speeds. Used to race a 964RS ( bit pricy now ! ) and a 280 Bhp Caterham on slicks. The GT86 has fab steering and great balance though...a remap is worth doing though..

    The GT86. It may leave some performance to be desired from factory, but it is probably the best chassis available today. A GT86 with bolt-ons, suspension tuning, and tires/brakes, and it punches well above its class.

    it's with this kind of video that I bought a brz. those who say that it's a car without power, it's that they don't know how to drive

  • @BRZ601
    @BRZ601 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Wow Oscar, I missed your hotlap until today. That was bloody fast! I need to go back there now that I have a new reference lap. My car is still stock but I am waiting for a front big brake kit (for reliability other than sheer performance). I've been missing the Ring for five straight years... so long 😪 Great drive mate, keep it up!

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you Fulvio! It’s great to hear from you.
      Not the best lap but pretty good, if you check my other video (8:23BTG) that lap was better until the double yellow in the final corner.
      Always learning, the car has a bit more potential for sure.
      I got the CSG brembos for the same reason and I haven’t had the need to change pads nor discs for the last 3.5 years and 60.000km… so it is good investment.
      5 years is too much, you need to go back soon! Let me know, it would be mega to meet there again.
      I’m going in 3 weeks with the Yaris, pretty excited to see how much quicker it goes around the ring… and will get some new videos.
      Cheers!

    Surprised you're running 215 size tires and didn't go up to 225 or 235. Very good driving man, thoroughly enjoyed this one.

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well, as laptimes show, 215 is enough! Specially with the insane amount of grip you get from the dunlops...
      I do use 225/45 for the street (Sport Cup 2's), and so far after testing the same tyre on both sizes multiple times, I can say there's very little difference in performance, nowadays I run 225 mostly because I get a bit more ground clearance and a liiiiittle bit of extra ride comfort.

    What are your camber settings sir? And, did the rear factory lower control arms give you enough adjustment with coilovers, or did you have to change that as well?

    •  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's -3.3º front. I don't have adjustable rear control arms, at current height the car sits at -2º rear and I don't feel like I need to change that at all.

  • @codenamegambit
    @codenamegambit 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    amazing! did you do the pedal dance to keep the traction off or just used the Track mode?

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I turn it off by holding the button 5 seconds. I’ve tried pedal dance but I don’t use it much, the difference is barely noticeable in this case since it mainly affects the braking and I don’t have issues with that.

    • @codenamegambit

      @Stephen Schneider Fam you have no idea what you’re talking about. But i do agree with you, fully catless exhaust tend to mostly sound like garb but thats not what i suggested, i specifically said catless headers and did not include mid pipe.

      Thanks! Indeed this was my 5th visit to the ring. To this day I’ve only driven around 70 laps since 2015 so overall that’s no experience at all(any local driver will get hundreds per season), but I have a little idea of what I’m doing since the first time. Lots of simulator and good coaching back in 2015!
      Thanks for watching!
