Hilaria Baldwin Defends Allowing Her Daughter to Wear Makeup

  • Social media is flooded with videos of tweens showing off their hauls from high-end makeup stores like Sephora and Ulta. Alec Baldwin's wife, Hilaria, posted a photo with her 10-year-old daughter in full makeup. However, she was criticized for letting her young daughter wear makeup. Lola McMaster started wearing makeup last year. Her mother, Joy, says she spends around $100 a month on her 11-year-old daughter's makeup.

as a teenage girl, seeing these young girls wear makeup is heartbreaking. once you start wearing makeup you can never go back to seeing yourself beautiful without it ever again.

You have a point there, it's definitely difficult to not wear makeup as a teenage girl after you start. But I promise that changes with age. I used to not want to leave the house as a teenager unless I had a full face on, which is so sad looking back. But now i'm in college and I stopped caring about it, now I only wear makeup if i'm going out to dinner or going to an event and I save an extra hour of my time! Hopefully that's some good motivation that you're truly beautiful, the teenage brain + social media really warps your perception of things

I think it just makes kids insecure at a very young age… I was born in 2007 and didn’t wear makeup until I was 14. And after I used makeup, I never stopped using it. Playing with makeup and actually putting makeup on everyday is 2 completely different things..

I think tweens wearing makeup is totally fine, but not $50-80 Sephora products! The problem is TikTok because all of these kids/tweens see "influencers" using high end makeup and it's trendy so they want to as well. Parents just need to learn to say no and get their kids makeup from target until they get a little older

At the time makeup for kids was trending online and my mom never really worn makeup so it was a first time for me and it destroyed my skin after like 2 time of trying and playing with it. I had hard and dry skin since even got a rash as I just but eyeshadow and eyeliner. If you have a daughter or even like a tween just please understand how to use makeup safely! 1. Wearing make up because you feel insecure about your looks is bad, its actially laughabl, and most of the time women look better with out it (99.9% of the time).
    2. Make up is expensive just for the brand, it's like supreme, garbage fashion but people give them money. But complain about make up on children and people saying "too young" is also pretty funny.

I had acne and dry skin issues during puberty and hormone changes, etc, no make up required, just be glad you had great skin, some were not so lucky.

She isn’t from Spain, she was born & raised in Massachusetts & doesn’t have a drop of Spanish in her ancestry. She’s just obsessed with the country so she put on a persona & was busted a couple of years ago.
