Who picks up a dirty ass sponge from the floor, globs 800 gallons of non matching foundation on it, then puts it on the client's face? I seriously don't understand how so many MUA don't follow simple sanitary things like clean tools and not using applicators from in the products like concealers for example.
They're not real make up artists! Hygiene is one of the most important things of this job when you work with tools that go on everybody's face. That sponge being on the floor and then on the face is unacceptable. 😖
It seems that most “artists” want to cover your beautiful porcelain skin with orange foundations, trying to darken your complexion. As a former makeup artist I will state that it is so important that you match the client’s skin tone as closely as possible. If you want to darken your skin a bit, use a bronzer over the foundation. Foundation that is too dark looks muddy.
I think the issue is more cuz it's not as common. In my country very pale is not very common and so the foundations are mostly darker. I know because I have to go through struggle of finding the lighter foundations among gazillion tan ones.

Use a tape to take off glitter! It's life changing. Press the tape into the lid, and then pull it. All the glitter comes in the tape. And then you can clean the rest normally
Don't use any fcking tape. Oil cleanser on cotton pad, gentle press it on, let it sit a bit and swipe it off. Use the other side for any leftovers. Easiest way. No rubbing, no pulling, clean. Your skin will thank you.

As a pale person living in latinamerica, guess it's the culture. Because we're all basically historically mixed (from Spanish colonization and indigenous peoples) everyone is generally tan, or on the brown spectrum, sort of. When someone comes along and are a bit paler, they always make a comment cuz it's a bit on the rarer side to see, such a different thing than the norm. Not to make excuses! I hate when they point it out too. Just context 😅
