Myung-Whun Chung doesn't have blood flowing in his arteries and veins, but music! He is one of my favorite conductors! He really brings out the best in an orchestra!

How touching is the end of the piece, when Chung shows much intensity and deep feelings. Great conductor! And the orchestra is at his same high level of interpretation.

On this melancholy rainy morning in the east coast of USA, your music sounds so poignantly beautiful. Thanks for your numerous outstanding performances under the Maestro Chung's ever so subtle baton. You have made the world sweeter. Thank you and may the God's blessing always be upon you!

This has to be the best version I've personally heard. I love and adore this symphony. And by God, they have done it justice here. Thank you to all the souls who made this possible.

Every time I listen to Tchaikovsky's 6th I feel a jolt - or a "downer" if you will - between the 3rd and 4th movts. The mood changes dramatically from joy to sadness; in that last movt everything leads up to extreme pain and, as I heard Ken Winters say on CBC Radio in the early '90s, "ultimate tragedy." The Pathetique is both the last and most tragic work published during Tchaikovsky's lifetime.

I always admire conductors who are able to conduct this work. It would be emotionally impossible for me. Even Mr. Chung has to wipe his eyes at the end before he turns for the bows.
I would be a sobbing wreck by the end. I played the piano version often and it happens to me all the time. I just can't detach myself enough.

Incredible tempo control for the 3rd movement.
Constrained emotions, however sounds never unwilling,
Aristocratic (4th movement). Acoustics is not dry at all (I like it); sounds perfectly balanced (slightly wet).
    Very good performance.

Origins of music unevidenced. Except it is gift to humanity from God the Creator. Music continues in heaven. Discontinues in hell.
Jesus Christ came from heaven to earth for one purpose only - to die on cross for remissions of pre-existing sins of every single person and to resurrect. Jesus Christ providing forgiveness from pre-existing sins for every single person, salvation from eternity in hell and free entry to eternity in heaven for all who repent of sins in Jesus Christ.
Other side of death is eternity. Eternity in hell. Or eternity in heaven through Jesus Christ.
Penalty of pre-existing sins already paid by Jesus Christ on The Cross. Accept HIM. Be saved from eternal in hell. Enter heaven. Enjoy heavenly music. For free.

I love this music. But i must ask, is anyone really paying attention to the drama queen with the stick? Could the musicians not play this without him? How can they possibly be playing those instruments, reading the music and paying attention to the guy with the stick? I know he is the conductor, so he is supposedly setting the tone, setting the pace? Hurrah to these amazing musicians and my soul felt thanks to Tchaikovsky... And my apologies to the guy with the stick, i just don't get it. Peace and Happiness.

I find it amazing, because this isn't too bad a performance, despite the behaviour of the conductor. Why does Chung shut his eyes so often? Why won't he look at his orchestra? Do they revolt him? He is a dictator for whom communication is only one way! He does not make eye contact with his orchestra! I am amazed that they put up with him, but I guess they have no choice. But for me, luckily I have a choice, which is not to watch the rest of this very flawed performance. Did I mention that the brass were out of tune on many occasions?
