i still don't understand how after the korean concerts they changed the setlist and Blame It On Me was gone 😭😭😭 it's the perfect song to be performed with a live band
@@marinateixeira3637 It is a difficult song to sing live, and with them having such a long setlist, they decided to remove it in case their vocals are affected towards the end of the concert.
36:40 oh my god Cry For Me. This song has such a special place in my heart because it was literally just randomly dropped during MAMA T_T Their setlist then was just More & More and I Can't Stop Me, then after that finished they randomly performed a new song and everyone was like UMMMMM wdym this is a new song???? Also, just recently I think it was confirmed that they almost shot a music video for this song right around that time (hence the released concept videos/photos) but they ultimately decided not to because Jeongyeon was still on a hiatus. They were adamant about projects, or at least title tracks, to be 9 or nothing and I'm glad they prioritized being complete in the end.
I feel bad for guide video makers since Twice is constantly releasing new stuff, literally a few months after making the video it'll be outdated. Plus everyone has their own favorite parts about the members, you can never include everything.

So glad you had a chance to check out this guide and learn more about Twice’s accomplishments and history as a group!! The album Ready to be (the one you said no one mentioned) came out last year in 2023! It’s a mini album with the title track set me free! It also has moonlight sunrise as the English MV release on it. Personally I really enjoy ready to be but it was maybe a more controversial album than others because the concept was kind of darker/more rock than people are used to with twice. So some people complained that twice was getting too far away from their core concept (mostly happy bubbly music) with this one. Personally I don’t mind that (cry for me- the beloved twice song with no MV they mention in the guide, is one of Twice’s darkest songs and it’s one of my favourites). BUT I will say, even though the album is pretty good and has some really good songs, because Twice’s discography is SO STRONG people don’t tend to mention it, just simply because there are other stronger albums. Not that you’ve asked 😅 but in terms of recent twice albums I’d personally rank them like this: 1. Formula of love full album (2021) - as you know, disco pop along with a wide range of music 2. Taste of love mini album (2021) - summery very catchy, flirty vibes 3. With you-th mini album (2024) - fresh, youthful, sooo vibey 4. Eyes wide open full album (2020) - retro, diverse, maybe a bit more of a darker mood? 5. Between 1 and 2 mini album (2022) - millennium vibe, playful, nostalgic, some incredible b-side gems 6. More & more mini album (2020) - tropical festival kinda vibe, summer music 7. Ready to be mini album (2023) - dark, a bit edgier, rock vibes 8. Feel special (2019) - around when twice started maturing their sound, but honestly some of these songs (like love foolish) are incredible club dance style tracks 9. Fancy you (2019) - truly the crossover album for twice, has some great bangers I won’t include anything earlier for now because of the “cute” factor but I do agree that if you ever want to dip your toe into that area, Twicetagram (the full album with likey) is fantastic and one of my faves And the order I gave you above doesn’t mean the bottom half of the albums I listed are bad whatsoever. It’s just that’s how strong Twice’s discography is! Also like the guide mentioned, their Japanese music is also legendary and around the same time as fancy came the Japanese MV breakthrough. Incredible song and every Japanese MV since is a bop and you would love them (songs like perfect world, doughnut, Kura Kura, fake and true, better, hare hare, etc). If you do get the chance to check them out either with a filter on them or on patreon I think you’d love them But anyways, thanks so much for this reaction!! Some notes: * the "unanimously voted for Jihyo" part is incorrect-- it's just "majority". Nayeon/Jeongyeon got votes too. There's no video of it, it's just an answer they give in interviews that got mistranslated. * It's subjective whose voice is more enjoyable, but in terms of advanced technique, it's pretty objectively Jihyo. She's at least a full letter grade ahead in most analysis', and members outside the big 3 aren't really able to do belty high notes or use breath support well. * yeah, the album sales increases are just based on them gaining relevance in the US, not quality/virality. Ready to Be isn't super notable in the grand scheme of things, IMO. * they're still total workaholics even now, honestly. It's puzzling how it's even possible to have time to do all the unexpected side things in the pockets of time they have during the releases/tours/promotions of the main things. Don't know if it's still the company over-working them, or if they themselves just don't like to be ever be doing nothing. Even just in 2024 so far, they've done 1 EP, 1 full length LP in a different language, a partial world tour, a Nayeon EP, constant variety videos, and likely upcoming Tzuyu and Misamo EPs. * Sixteen is ethically kind of brutal (and the editing is very reality show), but unintentionally pretty eye-opening in a documentary-about-attitudes-in-K-Pop kind of way. It'll also be amusing to be introduced to JYP the person, who's like this living meme that almost feels like a cartoon villain in it.
Eyes Wide Open is the album that made me a Twice fan. I listened to it so much that I thought Twice couldn't make a better album than this, they made the Formula of Love album :)) "Formula of Love" became my favorite album of all time (the previous owner of this title It was "Guns N Roses").. It will be nice to listen to it again with you, it has been a long time since I listened to EWO..

Ready To Be, Between 1&2 are one of their best mini-album(s) to date (not exaggerating), I think most of ONCE recommends FOL, TOL, EWO because these are the albums that summarise Twice's music well, and is the fastest way to become a fan. They have 13 korean mini-albums and 3 korean full albums and 5 Japanese full albums, if everyone starts recommending their personal favorites you'll be overwhelmed, so as you're continuing at your own pace, please enjoy your journey with twice as everything will be the first time for you, unlike us who want to experience it again. It's a long journey, enjoy every second of it. also, if you think 2018 was hectic, do you know their 2024 schedule? besides their tour which ended after 1y3m in late July 2024, this is their schedule: Feb - 13th Korean mini June - Nayeon 2nd album July - 5th Japanese full album September 6 - Tzuyu Solo Debut (yes it's less than couple of weeks away) October 30 - Misamo Comeback November & December - no guarantees, they can still release something 😆
49:55 Ready To Be is also a great album. I think it just gets lost in the mix a lot because it gets overshadowed by Formula of Love, Eyes Wide Open, Between 1&2, and Taste of Love. But it's a great album nonetheless!

32:23 Iirc, the 'Special albums' were repackage albums, containing songs from the previous release and including a new title track and 1 or 2 new songs along with it. It's probably so that each title track would feel like an entire 'era' with its own mini-album, without having to produce more songs for an EP. Basically, 'What is Love' was the first EP they released in 2018 with the title track 'What is Love' then came a repackage album 'Summer Nights' with the title track 'Dance the Night Away' (containing songs from What is Love EP + DTNA and another song i can't remember). Then they released the mini album 'Yes or Yes' with the title track 'Yes or Yes'. At the end of the year, they released the repackage album 'The Year of Yes' with the title track 'The Best Thing I Ever Did' (also containing songs from Yes or Yes EP + the new song). I agree though that this is still a LOT to do in just a single year especially because they have also been very busy with their Japanese releases then. 2018 was really a jam-packed year for TWICE.

Ready to be and with youth album is good album too but this is just mini album that's why all my co-onces is not requesting because it's too short hahaha but the song with bloom and got the thrill is my favorite

The three girls have been going by MISAMO for a long time. Kind of like NADA is Nayeon and Dahyun. 4- You must listen to Daring Woman by Chae, Jihyo, Tzuyu and Nayeon...and also the Move cover video of Dahyun, Mina, Momo and Chaeyoung. so about the 5 albums in 2018. basically summer nights was a repackage album, with all the songs from what is love + dance the night away and chillax. the year of yeas was also kinda a repackage with all the songs from yes or yes + the best thing i ever did and the korean version of be as one (bside from their 1st japanese album BDZ released in 2018) my top3 twice albums are taste of love perfect world (japanese album and is a MUST to listen) page two
'ready to be' EP. is good. for me, since 'more&more', you can pick any of their albums and listen through. :) don't mean, before that are not good, just might fit well with some specific taste, but also, i still got 2-3 songs that i like the most in each album. (as after 'fancy you', it's hard to pick which song i like the most, it's all too close, they're all that good.) for me, at this point, their first 3 albums ('the story begins', 'page two', 'TWICEcoaster') are the must, like to see, how their direction of their music. (which still till now, as experiment and 'roller coaster'.) also with 'melody project', as they use like their play ground, i mean, as Chaeyoung do the music she sing (no need to rap), Momo did 'TWICE MOMO-made "처음 그 자리에 (이보람)" Cover' in more relax way (least 'nasal' tone), Jihyo sing sad song, these all thing that they might can't do in TWICE's. so i very appreciate their 'melody project' a lot. (i think some count 'Jihyo sing TT in jazz style' too, but not in their 'melody project' list.) till now, Nayeon have 2 solo ('IM NAYEON', 'Na'), Jihyo 1 solo ('zone'), MiSaMo 1 solo('masterpiece'). all are good. they already announce MiSaMo comeback and Tzuyu solo. for more Jihyo, checkout 'lee mujin service'. have a good day. :)

Oh yes, and wait till you hear Perfect World (2021) japanese album, that album's existence is the proof why they're so loved in Japan, as far as called to be Japan's National GG (being a Korean GG), and don't think this is a fan given title, critics say that to this day... they're HUGE, but they're so humble you won't realise their grandeur...
Lets start with 2018, he glossed over that year, not only did they have 29 songs they had to learn but almost half were in a foreign language (Japanese). They also made ELEVEN M/V's that year with half of them in a foreign language and just to make sure they didn't have time to sleep lets through in a World tour (OK they didn't leave Asia but they did leave Korea) with 27 concert dates. JYP made a fortune and saved his company but he almost destroyed them, luckily it was the last time he did that. As to the hiatus's I have my own theory about Mina but this was when I became a ONCE and I knew her Unnies would get her thru what she was going thru. As to Jeongyeon's she is my bias and let me tell it to you very clearly she did not go on hiatus she went on medical leave BOTH times. She had neck surgery if you or any one you know has had back issues you don't mess with them you wait till you heal how ever long that takes in Jeongyeon's case it took almost a year no mental heath issue other than the normal will I be able to do what I used to be able to do which any injury will make you ask yourself end of story. As to Sixteen you really do need to watch it I won't watch it with you, it makes my blood boil just thinking about what he did to those little girls, but it will give you a good idea as to why Twice is such a close group with so much love for each other and us ONCE's. I totally agree with you no hate for anyone who takes the time to do a guide some are not as good as others but that doesn't make them bad. Lastly the last tour they were on was based on ready to be (that was actually the name of the tour) it's a great album but many ONCE's see it as to westernized which as an American I like lol. We are truly sorry for not mentioning "Ready To Be" 😂 and kinda gatekeeping this one until you get to reacting to the "Set Me Free" MV, this album slaps as well as the songs in here are especially more mature than the rest. It is nice to see that individual Onces promote their fav albums as the best for them and it only means that each albums and songs within them are all bangers 🥰😂 I am kinda leaning more into their Japanese tracks coz those are my jams ("Wishing" is my all time fave), but we'll get to those tracks when it happens (whispers "Perfect World")~~
Ready to be is a great album. But i guess not many once recommended it bcs formula of love, eyes wide open, between 1&2 is such a good starting point for new once. I would personally recommend ready to be album to you bcs tht album is a bop🥂
i think this video explain why Twice is number 1 or should be number 1 best girl group of all time . i don't hate Blackpink they have legendary songs they are sweet talented ladies i just think that when you reach the throne you should do anything to stay on it but in my opinion Twice did stole it and they fight really hard to keep it ! :)

I liked Twice's earlier songs but started disliking their later songs such as Cry For Me, I Can't Stop Me and Moonlight Sunrise because they clearly copied those songs from western artists. Cry For Me copied Maxi Priest's song Wide World, I Can't Stop Me copied Dua Lipa and Mamamoo's Hwasa song Physical and Moonlight Sunrise copied Megan The Stallion and Dua Lipa's song Sweetest Pie. Only when Twice made their latest comeback album With You-th did I start liking Twice songs again.

Ready To Be, Between 1&2 are one of their best mini-album(s) to date (not exaggerating), I think most of ONCE recommends FOL, TOL, EWO because these are the albums that summarise Twice's music well, and is the fastest way to become a fan.
They have 13 korean mini-albums and 3 korean full albums and 5 Japanese full albums, if everyone starts recommending their personal favorites you'll be overwhelmed, so as you're continuing at your own pace, please enjoy your journey with twice as everything will be the first time for you, unlike us who want to experience it again. It's a long journey, enjoy every second of it.
also, if you think 2018 was hectic, do you know their 2024 schedule? besides their tour which ended after 1y3m in late July 2024, this is their schedule:

49:55 Ready To Be is also a great album. I think it just gets lost in the mix a lot because it gets overshadowed by Formula of Love, Eyes Wide Open, Between 1&2, and Taste of Love. But it's a great album nonetheless!

32:23 Iirc, the 'Special albums' were repackage albums, containing songs from the previous release and including a new title track and 1 or 2 new songs along with it. It's probably so that each title track would feel like an entire 'era' with its own mini-album, without having to produce more songs for an EP.
Basically, 'What is Love' was the first EP they released in 2018 with the title track 'What is Love' then came a repackage album 'Summer Nights' with the title track 'Dance the Night Away' (containing songs from What is Love EP + DTNA and another song i can't remember). Then they released the mini album 'Yes or Yes' with the title track 'Yes or Yes'. At the end of the year, they released the repackage album 'The Year of Yes' with the title track 'The Best Thing I Ever Did' (also containing songs from Yes or Yes EP + the new song).
I agree though that this is still a LOT to do in just a single year especially because they have also been very busy with their Japanese releases then. 2018 was really a jam-packed year for TWICE.

If I may, I think that the reason why we (Once) haven’t recommended READY TO BE is cuz we feel like there is just so many things you need to cover first before listening to the newer music. It makes more sense to see where they come from. It helps understand better the picture.

Ready to be and with youth album is good album too but this is just mini album that's why all my co-onces is not requesting because it's too short hahaha but the song with bloom and got the thrill is my favorite

so about the 5 albums in 2018. basically summer nights was a repackage album, with all the songs from what is love + dance the night away and chillax. the year of yeas was also kinda a repackage with all the songs from yes or yes + the best thing i ever did and the korean version of be as one (bside from their 1st japanese album BDZ released in 2018)

'ready to be' EP. is good. for me, since 'more&more', you can pick any of their albums and listen through. :)
don't mean, before that are not good, just might fit well with some specific taste, but also, i still got 2-3 songs that i like the most in each album. (as after 'fancy you', it's hard to pick which song i like the most, it's all too close, they're all that good.)
for me, at this point, their first 3 albums ('the story begins', 'page two', 'TWICEcoaster') are the must, like to see, how their direction of their music. (which still till now, as experiment and 'roller coaster'.)
also with 'melody project', as they use like their play ground, i mean, as Chaeyoung do the music she sing (no need to rap), Momo did 'TWICE MOMO-made "처음 그 자리에 (이보람)" Cover' in more relax way (least 'nasal' tone), Jihyo sing sad song, these all thing that they might can't do in TWICE's. so i very appreciate their 'melody project' a lot. (i think some count 'Jihyo sing TT in jazz style' too, but not in their 'melody project' list.)
till now, Nayeon have 2 solo ('IM NAYEON', 'Na'), Jihyo 1 solo ('zone'), MiSaMo 1 solo('masterpiece'). all are good.

Oh yes, and wait till you hear Perfect World (2021) japanese album, that album's existence is the proof why they're so loved in Japan, as far as called to be Japan's National GG (being a Korean GG), and don't think this is a fan given title, critics say that to this day... they're HUGE, but they're so humble you won't realise their grandeur...
Lets start with 2018, he glossed over that year, not only did they have 29 songs they had to learn but almost half were in a foreign language (Japanese). They also made ELEVEN M/V's that year with half of them in a foreign language and just to make sure they didn't have time to sleep lets through in a World tour (OK they didn't leave Asia but they did leave Korea) with 27 concert dates. JYP made a fortune and saved his company but he almost destroyed them, luckily it was the last time he did that. As to the hiatus's I have my own theory about Mina but this was when I became a ONCE and I knew her Unnies would get her thru what she was going thru. As to Jeongyeon's she is my bias and let me tell it to you very clearly she did not go on hiatus she went on medical leave BOTH times. She had neck surgery if you or any one you know has had back issues you don't mess with them you wait till you heal how ever long that takes in Jeongyeon's case it took almost a year no mental heath issue other than the normal will I be able to do what I used to be able to do which any injury will make you ask yourself end of story. As to Sixteen you really do need to watch it I won't watch it with you, it makes my blood boil just thinking about what he did to those little girls, but it will give you a good idea as to why Twice is such a close group with so much love for each other and us ONCE's. I totally agree with you no hate for anyone who takes the time to do a guide some are not as good as others but that doesn't make them bad. Lastly the last tour they were on was based on ready to be (that was actually the name of the tour) it's a great album but many ONCE's see it as to westernized which as an American I like lol. We are truly sorry for not mentioning "Ready To Be" 😂 and kinda gatekeeping this one until you get to reacting to the "Set Me Free" MV, this album slaps as well as the songs in here are especially more mature than the rest. It is nice to see that individual Onces promote their fav albums as the best for them and it only means that each albums and songs within them are all bangers 🥰😂 I am kinda leaning more into their Japanese tracks coz those are my jams ("Wishing" is my all time fave), but we'll get to those tracks when it happens (whispers "Perfect World")~~
Ready to be is a great album. But i guess not many once recommended it bcs formula of love, eyes wide open, between 1&2 is such a good starting point for new once.

i think this video explain why Twice is number 1 or should be number 1 best girl group of all time . i don't hate Blackpink they have legendary songs they are sweet talented ladies i just think that when you reach the throne you should do anything to stay on it but in my opinion Twice did stole it and they fight really hard to keep it ! :)

I liked Twice's earlier songs but started disliking their later songs such as Cry For Me, I Can't Stop Me and Moonlight Sunrise because they clearly copied those songs from western artists. Cry For Me copied Maxi Priest's song Wide World, I Can't Stop Me copied Dua Lipa and Mamamoo's Hwasa song Physical and Moonlight Sunrise copied Megan The Stallion and Dua Lipa's song Sweetest Pie. Only when Twice made their latest comeback album With You-th did I start liking Twice songs again.
