I remember in October 2015, "Like Ooh-Ahh" was in the chart the first week but dropped out of chart the second week, so most K-netizens commented that TWICE is a flop, JYP would surely drop out of the big three (SM/YG/JYP) and be replaced by Cube or FNC. However, TWICE worked really hard, they held mini fan-meeting on the street in the Korean winter after every music show and they did college campus visits. By the end of November TWICE became the most searched girl group among college students and TWICE won the best new girl group in 2015 MAMA 5 weeks after they debuted. 10 weeks after their debut "Like Ooh-Ahh" rose back and entered top 10 of the chart, so TWICE was called back to music shows. In January 2016, TWICE's debut album has sold over 50,000 copies. That was the second highest yearly album sale for all rookie K-pop girl group since 2000, and TWICE only took only 10 weeks.
I didn't know anything about Kpop. One day, I watched 2PM's I'II Be Back performance at their Tokyo Dome concert on TH-cam. They were very good and I understood why people love kpop :) Months passed and I watched a MV of a girl group, called "I Cant Stop Me", I liked it very much and listened to the album. And in a short time, this girl group took over my playlist and I started to listen almost exclusively to this girl group. "While I thought they couldn't make another great album like Eyes Wide Open" and "Taste of Love", they released the album "Formula of Love" and I realized that I was very wrong.. Please don't raise your expectations, but "Formula of Love" (in my opinion) is the best album I have ever listened to. I have never enjoyed any album this much.. "I Cant Stop Me" is a suitable title track for "Eyes Wide Open", but I think it should have been the title track of the actual "Formula Of Love" album :)) It would suit very well and be legendary..

i didn't know you were canadian too! i saw twice in toronto, and they were AMAZING😭 such great performers and i can't even describe how heavenly jihyo's live vocals are.. if you ever have the chance to see them you have to!!
I remember when the fourth world tour was announced the members were very worried that Americans might not show up. You could see their shock when everything sold out quickly and loved the energy of the American crowds, You could literally see their confidence levels rise and them become aware of how much power they wielded in the industry. Thankfully this happened before signing their new contract and I don’t know what the financial details are, but they certainly seem to be enjoying far more freedom than they used to.
I still remember how I felt while waiting Like Ooh-Ahh MV out back then bcs it was my first debut group after became a Kpop fan since 2010, it was 1 AM (my city have 1 hour late different time with South Korea), and still remember the 1st response I spontaneously said to myself after watched it, I said it in Korean language '다행이다' that means 'I felt relieved' also have same meaning as Thank God, after watched the MV I really have the strong feeling that TWICE will be successful, I followed them and became a Once, so I'm one of the fan that growing up with TWICE, and now the members are like my little sisters 😁 Sorry for this long TMI from me 😅
