My favorite part was either everyone just drawing literal mustard for the Tangy Mustard one, or people drawing 5 different Total Drama characters for the Duncan one
Ross drew the most accurate Killer Tomato and he never even heard of the movie lol. Makes me feel old that no one knew what Killer Tomatoes were
Ross didn't know and he's the same age as me, but I remember watching the cartoon as a kid (and the movies MUCH later)
To be fair, I don't think the writers of the film knew either.
Some people are really bad at guessing what "something everyone will know" covers.
Especially since they all _said what they were going to prompt at the beginning._ You'd think if anyone went "Oh idk that one," if anyone else agreed they'd kick it out.
It's not a big deal
To be fair, in these sessions there are animators, illustrators, artists, and people of MANY different age ranges, tastes, and geographic locations, so for some of us what is "really obvious" is not for others.
Doesn't make us better or worse, just different, and that is the beauty of this game and everyone involved.

Maybe each person doing a character from memory...and each person trying to do an animation with the character. Like, combining the "from memory" stuff but trying to animate the character each person chose.
My favorite thing about watching the Pikachu drawings was seeing who fell victim to the Mandela Effect and put the dark spot on the end of the tail, vs who knew it was at the base of the tail. I'm impressed that out of all the ones who drew the spot, only two or three got it wrong, but I guess this probably isn't a lot of their first times drawing Pikachu from Pikachu. Good work, guys!
I wish that you would have kept up the photo of the character the whole time to compare the drawings. You did that on the last video and it was better. Just my opinion but i bet others agree as well.

It's hard to imagine how some of chat decides that giving advice on how to draw a character for a Gartic challenge all about drawing from memory is a good idea.

Dancing animations. I'm thinking those old school, peanuts style loops that are only a few frames where everyone is doing their own thing. For gartic there wouldn't be a dozen characters on screen, only one or two at a time. Maybe extend that to 4 for amongus beans, lol.
Alternate idea would be to pick one dance for everyone to do. Something like the Haruhi Suzumiya dance but sonic is doing it.
I love when people have a broad concept of what a character might look like but not the specifics so they make them in their own style. It could actually be its own prompt for a future one of these: you get the reference, but you have to draw the character in your own way.

Honestly it's pretty interesting seeing artists draw these small little pieces out of the blue since it's not like their usual work but you can still recognize things like shape language.

Samus's Zero Suit was introduced in Zero Mission (hence the name "Zero" suit) which predates that game we shan't speak of by 6 years.
