I was there that night, Fratton end, and the funniest thing I can remember was when Kaka stood ready to take a corner and the whole of the Fratton end starting singing "Who are ya" "Who are ya" and then the next second all these flashes going off as people took pics of Kaka on their phones. LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so surreal and just about summed up the night. I'm 61 season ticket holder and been to some great matches over the years, Milk cup 81 16k fans at Anfield all the tic a tate, the Stockport game singing all through 2nd half non stop, Both FA cups and semis, Old trafford and Walshy scoring twice, 4-1 twice against them down the road. BUT this night I will take to my grave as my best time ever as a Pompey fan. PUP

It's still mind-blowing to me that I got to see the likes of Ronaldinho, Inzaghi, Kaka, Christiano Ronaldo, Scholes, Thierry Henry, and Steven Gerrard at Fratton Park. For a long time we felt like the little football team that could. We paid for the squad with our bankruptcy, but our FA Cup winning team was insanely talented too. Johnson, Diarra, Defoe, Campbell, etc. If you put together an all-time Pompey 11, at least 6 of them would be from the 2008 season. It was a hell of a time to be a Pompey fan.
I was there at Fratton Park when we played against AC Milan and that was one of our greatest games we played in and I’m a season ticket holder for 26 years and still a season ticket holder. We were very close to beat AC Milan but ended 2-2 and the atmosphere at Fratton Park was incredible and amazing. Play up Pompey 🔵⚪️⚽️👍

Which is a consequence of the other being a choice is defn up for debate though seeing as its a game of 2 halves and Pompey still had to score at each end too. Albeit they had a better idea of the lay of the land so to speak.
