The owner says the company was born in the USA and is going to die in the USA just like him. He's a Patriot and our country would be a better place if we had more like him.
I own 6 Surefire flashlights. They are super bright. However, Maglite for me is the best when SHTF happen. I trust Maglite. Check out ML50L the best flashlight ever. Cheap price, 611 lumens, and 16 hour battery in lumen.
Brightest ever? Not for todays standards. HOWEVER these things are the BEST and most durable flashlights out there and are plenty bright for any use. You can go on and on about how many lumens it pumps out but how much do you really need? Thanks MagLite for keeping your company in the USA!!
Best flashlight ever Strongest most durable bright can be used as a weapon and used still by a lot of police also flashlight is good forever you can replace the bulb once its gone bad you cant do that with any other lights maglite please keep improving with brightness and lumens hope you never go anywhere
Please fix the description of this video, it says "Flashlight company started 50 years ago in South Carolina refuses to go overseas." Maglite is made in Ontario, California; about 30 minutes away from Los Angeles. South Carolina is mentioned in the video as one of the places the show has traveled to, but it's not where Maglite is made. Please correct this error.
I was given my first Maglite in 1991. I still have it; it still works flawlessly (even if it's been upgraded with an led for modern times), I have over a dozen well used Mags in my life. Do I have "better" flashlights too? Sure. But if I need something that is dead simple, going to work every single time (as long as the batteries aren't dead) and is just this side of indestructible? I know what one(s) I'm grabbing.
now all maglite has to do is make a cree t6 maglite that runs on 2x26650 lithium batteries led which would be about the size a 3 cell c maglite. and it would have the spot to flood and lumens should reach a max of 950 and have strobe and eco modes as well..it should cost 90$ batterys included
I love Maglite, some that have electric (programable, doesn’t last long) Maglite you need catchup with competitor, like surefire, streamlight, Felix, weltool , pelican and so on, there are made in china, like Apple. Their flashlights more powerful n good quality, using the best quality n highest LED chip/ laser chip, hight lumens, hight candela and….small, hiamp rechargeable batteries and much brighter, and batteries no leak like Duracell, leak out, made unable to change batteries. I like maglite made in USA, but you need to well improve you product catch-up with them n more renovation n creative, or you will leave behind. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I really wish Maglite could just put together a light with an XM-L2 driven at 3A for their C and D cell models. They desperately need to be more competitive on lumens but instead they are trying to charge $75 for their 625 lumen 3C offering. 1000 Lumens is not hard guys, if the chinese can do it for $3, you can do it for $75.
ben hunter You are wrong. The 625-lumen mL50L 3-C is $33.64+tax at your local Walmart and has a total output of 611 lumens with a battery life of 16hr-high, 42hr-low and 153hr-eco. Not to mention the 4 different 3-click function sets which are changed by screwing battery cap off and screwing back on while holding the power switch until the desired mode is activated, indicated by the number of flashes. General: Full Power, Low Power, Eco Camping: Full Power, Low Power, Strobe. Law Enforcement: Momentary, Full Power, Eco Tactical: Momentary, Full Power, Strobe.
@ anonymous - Ben is not referring to the mL50L 611 lumens . . . . he is refferinf to the XM-L2 series with a 625 lumens . \Ben probably does not like the mL series. but thank you for the information on that series type.
The quality of maglite has went downhill over the years. I've had several fail in a years time, with one being a dud right from the package and a solitaire led that had the reflector broke loose, right out of the package.
True, That's why I keep it oldschool and use the incandescent 6d. It looks cool, like a classic car or steam locomotive. Timeless. I also have a couple old walkie talkies bought from a CHP lot that go great with it hehe
@@KandiKlover lol! Keeping it retro. Just as a test I bought a German made led drop in for an old incandescent 2D Maglite, and it works great. Those incandescent bulbs seem hard to find nowadays. I remember when the local Kmart was going out of business I bought all the ones they had. I believe the brand was dorcy or something like that.
I have been a Maglite customer AND promoter , from The mid 1960'S buy and giving the Maglites as I traveled . This last Christmas , A Medical Doctor friend , Sent me a 5 D CELL as a gift . The threading ,is Mismatched and the Maglite is of NO USE !
I love Made In USA product but you cant find Maglite AAA battery holder replacement anywhere due to the spring break away from the holder. I hope they read my message. if anyone can find replacement do drop me an email, thank you very much! My flashlight is still in good condition only the AAA battery holder causing the issues

A 3 D-Cell Maglite survived a house fire last winter, and it STILL works. I'll always love the Maglite.
I have my Mini Maglight AA from over 20 years ago, still works and still used.

I'm handling a Fenix LR60R - it produces 21,000 lumens for few minutes, then 8,000 lumens permanently.
You know you've got a real torch when you have a Magalite.
Lol

Why are they so big on shit being made in America? Gives more factory jobs.

Are maglites meant to be nightsticks?
They can be if needed.
Bonus feature.
With 6 D4 cells would be perfect for it to be used as a nightstick.

I thought Ontario was in Canada.
It is. There is also a city in California called Ontario.
