Thank you. After several attempts to connect the internet to our Sony TV, I listened to your video and simply unplugged it from the wall and the internet was connected.😀
I just did it and it worked...this sony bravia 2023 is great and honestly if thats the only issue like once in a while then i dont care i still have full warranty and the tv is amazing on oled quality sound and everything else
Amazingly simple ..clear and concise instructions..thank you.. I was assuming it was an issue with the setting but tried the steps as you’ve suggested and the unplugging from the wall sorted the issue ..thank you :-)
Instead of unplugging and plugging again, you can restart the tv by going to settings->system -> restart. It always works for me. I find it easier than unplugging and plugging.
Jeez this advice is horrible. You go to setup>device>automatic date and time>local network time>go back out of setup go to network then close it and open it back on the toggle. As it would refresh. You would see internet connected now on your wifi. Done.

A question, ive done everything recommended on this video and when i tty to connect to the internet on the tv but mostly refresh the content for the wifi to work properly it says "Confirguration failed while connecting". What can I do to fix that? And Thank you Sir
I’ve had my Sony 85” for 3 weeks. It keeps saying failed internet connection. A factory reset on a 3 week tv is a big red flag. The picture is beautiful but what’s the point when I can’t even watch it. I’m never getting a Sony again.
Its a time setting issue. Hook up a device thats connected with the internet via HDMI (ps5 or laptop). Startup the ps5. Once loaded in and displayed on the tv switch of the tv and unplug it from powernet. Wait one minute. Plug it back in and startup the tv. Select the ps5 channel. The tv Will now copy the time setting from your ps5. Problem solved
Or, if you dont have an external device: Go to settings. Select time/date Set as automatic time/date Back out and select internet settings. Switch off wifi. Switch wifi back on. After a couple seconds the tv copies the correct time/date and internet should be working again. This issue occures when the tv is disconnected from power. Itime/date settings have to match with time provided by internet.
Wished that I further research about Sony Smart TV. It's really annoying everytime I turn on the TV it keeps saying wifi connection lost. Everytime. It started after updating it. Wished that Sony fix this problem
lots of times it's because of a bad wifi connection and the Wi-Fi card in the TV won't work well if there are too many things in between the modem and the TV
My tv does not have the ‘help’ option on the top bar. I’m just giving up & going to buy a cord to hook the tv directly to my router. A pain but better than having a 3k paperweight!!
Its an issue with the time settings. I just startup my ps5 connected HDMI. Than unplug the power to the tv. After 1 minute plug the tv back in and select Ps5 channel. It will copy the time as set on your Ps. Problem solved
i have wired internet, ok ok. my internet smooth no problem. but refreshing content gave 2160 error. replugging method dont work, factory reset dont work. troubleshoot dont work. no solution from internet.
Spoke too soon - connection worked chain for about 5 mins - then same thing, connected no internet! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr what use is a smart tv if you can’t connect it to the internet for streaming????
@@Fix.369 it only gives you an option to put a password - only one input field how do i put both a username and password? where is the option for that?
Tik tok videos funny Bro, This error is displayed when you cannot connect to the internet or the internet communication is unstable. You need to make sure your TV has a good internet connection. 😊
