I have used the American Crew Firm Hold Gel for the longest time this summer, I slick my hair back, it did okay, it didn't feel heavy compared to my other products I had, but in the general run of things, it was really not that good when I look back on it. It hardened up very hard as you said, and I would also find these little tiny stray hairs poking out, and you really can't restyle it unless you rinse it out.
I hope u keep making videos I miss them so much there's lots of new products out there. The pomade game is changing alot and there's products that need reviews from the one the only Cameron A please we need ur reviews u explain them the best

And to be honest it became and addiction 😜collecting is now a hobby.i’m even starting at the Barberstation (Great barbershops) Academy to become a Barber 💈 and to make things even more crazy... i’m going to make my own Pomades and Beard Oils (there are not even a handfull of homebrewers in Holland.. so why not!! By the way :in summer time i use cream pomades like o’douds heavy hold summer edition,lockhart’s phantasm,gimm grease because i don’t really like geltype waterbased (it just doesn’t work for me and not because I don’t see them as “pomades”..yesterday i was at a store and there was a guy with his wife standing behind me.He was looking at some really crap gels and talking with his wife about it “this is not strong but this one stinks etc. so I turned around and said “excuse me but if i’m aloud to make a suggestion “try a nice pomade!!” So told them about the great dutch webshop “MijnBaard”(my beard) and said take a look and if you don’t know what you should look at some reviews on TH-cam and you can even contact the webshop for advice. I even contacted Mijnbaard and asked if it was possible for them to add Lockhart’s products in their assortment YES IT WAS!! They now have everything in every scent there is available!!
I have to whole heartedly agree with you on this one... I was using the American Crew firm gel for a while and it sucked every drop of moisture out of my hair... also it claimed a firm hold but it leaves lots of stray hairs and when it dries it makes the hair very brittle... I’ve used cheaper gel than American crew gel and it has worked 10 times better than this gel... American Crew gel is the worst gel I have ever used.
What do you expect from a hair gel mate..? Its not a magic filter, it's a sticky material to keep your hair in place 😅 Also, (seriously now) American crew are in general the best hair products for that money out there (and i have used many different brands over the years!) If AC is crap as you say, what about Loreal, Wella, Label.M or kerastase hair gels? Absolute disaster.... Even though i have to agree with you about the AC ''light hold styling gel''- its a really wierd product, i completely disagree on ''firm hold''one ; It is a great hair gel (much better that those mentioned above), and i will continue using it, until i find something equally good.
My guess is their brand and their connections with major retailers like Walmart or Cosmo prof. They have great marketing and design so it looks good, but the quality isn't there. Most people just don't know better.
My boss is a reuzel scumbassador and said the original American crew ceo is actually a barber now and cut hair at schorem for a bit. Figured you’d find that cool!

Any gel suggestions? This stuff smells worse than any hair product I've used. It can be used with other products to save some of them is it's saving grace. It's also firmer than most gel's from drug stores.
Finally! I'm a barber and around my area every barber sell this shit, I'm the only one that refuse to sell this garbage to my patrons, I've try the all line 3 years ago, damn it's garbage, and it's pretty expensive round here.

Hi, your supposed to apply the gel to towel dried hair not dry hair which is what your hair appeared to be when you applied the product. Not really a fair review

You'll probably need to train your hair 1st. So something heavy and then steadily work your way down
