I played this hack the day it came out. The warps aren't really warps, they exit you to a chest that gives the warp whistle, and from there you can warp.

Loved the unique combination of nostalgia and confusion, seeing two games from my childhood fused together like this. I would love to see a part 2. It was interesting seeing some of the solutions that the ROM hacker used to implement some of the unique scenarios in Mario 1 into Mario 3 (the autoscrolling castle in world 4, for instance).

And for the bonus coins up in the sky, i think the red note thing should be used, but the beanstalk is fine. 😀

SMB1 levels are so easy when you're not playing them with the awful controls the game had originally.
Yup. I think it really shows how much better they made the controls in SMM2. When you go back and play SMB1 or SMW especially.
ArmorOfGod I wouldn’t say it had AWFUL controls, just rough control compared to the other ones.
