Thank you. I’m so glad I found it and it was in such great shape. I just love the way the Maytags function and how well they work. Plus harvest gold was the one my mother had when I was growing up so this brought back many fond memories.
I assume that Maytag is from a similar age to the avocado green Whirlpool LHC490? It looks of that age to me. Maytags of that age and before were pure stunners. As was that Whirlpool which is pretty much one of my top dream machines with the 1947 Frigidaire Unimatic which is way rarer than anything I've mentioned in this comment. It's the rarest of all Frigidaires! All that aside vintage Maytags are most certainly on my acquisition list. Practically any age from the 40's to the 80's for me, though I'm looking for an A700, an A806 and an AMP to name a few. An AMP from 1949 did appear on Ebay in the late Summer of 2022 shortly before I begun negotiations to purchase a Hoover 3174 twin tub which is now in my possession since October 2022 but is a pile of parts right now. Restoration works are happening but have been halted because I've been a complete idiot with it on one circumstance. A video will probably be posted on my channel detailing it all.
Isn't it so much fun getting the machine that you really want I grew up with a model similar to this in harvest gold with me and my mother and I just got this and it shot back so many memories. The sound the way it works..
Now the next one I wanna get is the other machine that my mother and I had which was a GE filter flow it was top-of-the-line. It was called the dispensall . I'm sure I'll never find that one.. it had the mini basket and all the dispensers were in the lid. it even lit up with the fluorescent light on top.
By the way, lots of luck with getting what you want it feels like an accomplishment when you finally do get something but the looking and looking is time-consuming I wish you the best!
@@petermaz701 No doubt. For me I still have the washing machine I grew up with because I in a way stole it from my parents. It is a Bosch WAE24470GB, something in the outer tub failed and every time it spins grey crap appears all over the drum. I already fixed my Miele W906 in January this year so I likely won't have trouble sorting the Bosch out. I ought to have an entire launderette of old American machines. If there's one thing which the Americans did better than almost all other nations, it's washing machines. Weren't Bendix american or something?
Awesome! Congrats on the 610 acquisition. Looking forward to seeing more. Never get tired of the pitman sound, and wash action.

I'm loving that Maytag! I'm a huge fan of those washers. That Maytag looks adorable 😊
A big congrats!!!! She looks pristine Pete ! Can you get a shot of the control panel?
I will, Pat I'll do an actual video of it.

@@CBF1 yes Bendix was an American company plus many more that came and went.
I would've put the Kenmore Elite on heavy duty speed.
