I'm from Canada and watched so many Brit comedies growing up (On the Buses, Carry On gang etc). There was no cable so never caught many American shows and when we DID, I had a hard time understanding their accents. I was used to the British. Now, I have to adjust my ear to the British as I get flooded with American content! LOVE these British shows!!
Father Ted should have been on this list. My favorite moments from the series has to be when Ted had to kick Bishop Brennan up the arse and Speed 3 from Season 3 when Pat Mustard loses his job and is replaced by Father Dougal McGuire. One of my favorite lines when Dougal says "Those women were in the nip". Pure classic.
I can’t agree with you at all but that just show how different peoples tastes are and makes us all unique EDIT: My opinion on The Vicar Of Dibley has changed and I now think it’s really funny
There are far funnier scenes from Keeping up Appearances than the one you have shown here, for example when Hyacinth fell of the boat into the river. How can you not include any scenes from 'Allo 'Allo in this????? One of the best sitcoms ever
I find it specially funny with Ms. Wendy smiling in their backs as they slapped each other. Thank Universe for British humour. I wish this was the kind of comedy we had in my neck of the woods.
@@simone222 its always good to hear our comedies entertain others from around the world, if you ever make it to UK give me a message and ill show you some good places mate ;-)
@@MacStoker I appreciate your kindness and hospitality. Actually, prior to moving to the US for work and study, I was in the UK briefly for the same purposes. I mainly stayed in London and for the latter part, in Portsmouth. I had last been to London last year. ;) Nice to meet you. Cheers. :))
I watched Keeping up appearance with subtitles and whenever someone would misprounounce their last named it would say Bucket but when she would correct them it would say Bouquet. But you would then see their last name is spelled Bucket so you that's on her
Morecambe and Wise was great for the generation living when it was released, but the jokes are not understandable for the next generations, making it hard to be a "classic". I like it, but not a classic. Dads Army should be here though!
Most iconic? I'm sure there are more iconic moments from AYBS than the one shown. And surely the most iconic moment in FT is Basil serving the Germans. And no "Don't tell him Pike" from Dad's Army?
The biggest comedy moment? When this service was announced charging people money to watch something that was already paid for by them via the license fee. I don't know what the heads were smoking but flipping heck it must have been good! But the people that will actually pay for this in the uk also.. seriously stop doing drugs people, it isn't good for you !!!!

I adore keeping up appearances. I wish they still showed it on pbs
Me too. Only fools is joint favourite for me.
we still get keeping up appearances on pbs on sat nights!!
ELMA ElmaR really?? What state does it still come on in? I thought all pbs cancelled glad they didn’t
Maybe they stop show it because they only want you to adore God.
:) Got it on DVD. I live here in the UK :) Love it :) Glad people over the pond do too
Absolute classics...all of them. Could watch them over and over. 💚
British comedy. Best in the world

"Ready when you are Mate !"
*As a german, this is pretty accurate how we speak.*

I've always loved Brit comedy, always well done. LoL👍
UK has the best comedy drama shows and mysteries 💕 along with there actors and actresses 💕 they really cheer me up and make me laugh thankyou 💖
American here. Nothing better than British tv.
Omg keeping up appearances is soo funny
Poor Richard, it would have been grand to have a pint with him.
As
Tommy's new job in Early Doors is the funniest sketch in history
Loved Open All Hours, The Two Ronnie’s, Benny Hill, The Good Life, and Robins Nest too
I'd like to put in a word about Compo's pigeon glider in "Last of the Summer Wine".
They are all brilliant 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤩🤩🤩
Classic nostalgia
I like the show are u being served and keeping up appearances and the vicar of diblay
Dawn French does fat way better than she does funny.

So do I. British comedy is unbeatable.
Missed opportunity to have clips from "The Young Ones" or "A bit of Fry & Laurie"
Emmitt M. McAdams people who upload these bloody videos ALWAYS miss out real decent ones everybody know 🤨
Young ones is underrated
Shame there was no dad's army!😂

The vixen of dibley.....hilariously funny. Love it

Britbox please, PLEASE get To The Manor Born.
No because it's a mawkish pile of sh!te.
Find it rather dry and boring. Just an opinion.
Hugh Bonneville has always been the exact same age his whole life. He was born, boom, mid-50's.
I've been watching the brittcoms for years .decade's I should say . excellent comedies every one .Are You Being Served tops

Where on earth are Dads Army and Morecambe and Wise?!

Sugar substitute……… dandruff 😂😂😂😂
I'm a bit disappointed these were the moments selected as "most iconic". Classic series, but wrong moments.
I love these Great American Comedies
Yes chef! Was a good one too.
Why do they only show bloopers of Keeping Up ⬆️ Appearances? It would be great 👍🏾 if they showed the whole half hour sitcom.
Why don’t they have Bless this House 🏡? I watched it a few years ago. I wonder 💭 why it hasn’t seen it ever again.
Good times.
Good Times was an American sitcom, not British.

The best piece of classic British comedy is Fawlty Towers “The Germans”. But of course, you won’t show that, as you find it utterly offensive.
Am I weird for not enjoying Fawlty Towers ?😕
Yes 😉
I liked it but I don’t think it’s the funniest scene .
@@sarahcrews2544 I agree, there's alot of funnier scenes that should have been chosen
Jane Austin I liked the Waldorf salad episode

I'll happily subscribe to britbox when I stop paying for the license. I'd rather watch the old classics than the rubbish they have now!
Twiddle his knob somebody, he's out of focus.
So we've already paid for these with our TV licence (Tax) and now you expect us to pay again?
Started in U.S. and Canada where these programs did not appear. Then dribbled back into Great Britain for those who liked the oldies.
Is that MR Bean ??
